This is absolutely THE best video on UA-cam translating algebraic expressions . I wish I had come across earlier so I didn't waste my time with other videos.
Please keep doing these videos... I loved your explanations and made me really understand the word problems ...thank you from the bottom of my heart!!! Please do more of these videos 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
This is my first-ever comment on UA-cam. you are absolutely the best teacher covering this topic. you nailed it, and students will understand in one go!
omg, you are incredibly awesome. You clarify each problem by first explaining the meaning of each term, breaking it down, and then regrouping to get the picture in order to carry out the operations. I also like how you suggest underlining the main key words for each operation. This has been the best tutorial! Your are Teacher Of The Year!
I've watched about 5 different videos and I enjoyed yours the most. I especially like that you devoted a few examples to handling subtraction. Most students struggle with subtraction.
The best video if you want to learn about word problems on UA-cam hands down! I was struggling with word problems untill I came across your video and it feels much easier now and also feel stupid for not understanding it before lol The way you teach is so much better because of how you break it down for ‘beginners’.I think you should post more videos so we can learn more algebra the better way. Thanks
YOU ARE THE BEST TEACHER , I HAVE EVER SEEN IN MATH THAT EXPLAINS SO NICELY IN MY WHOLE LIFE (THANKS ALOT FOR POSTING THIS HELP FULL VIDEO) I WANT TO REQUEST YOU TO MAKE ANOTHER VIDEO THAT CONTAIN ALOT OF WORD PROBLEM STATEMENTS. AFTER WATCHING YOUR VIDEO I HAVE FOUNDED ALOT OF ANSWERS THAT I I WAS ASKING ME SELF SO THANKX ALOT "TEACHER"
"corri..." something, if you see this, please know that your comment was much appreciated and was removed accidentally (sorry). Hope you revisit and comment again!
What a fabulous teacher. I am so grateful to you for making this video, it has helped me immensely. For some reason I am fine with the equation visually but when I hear "x" and letters used for variables in English I find it incredibly distracting. Even though I know its just a place holder, for some reason it's like the alphabet is too noisy for my eyes, and instead if I replace it with an emoticon it's much easier
Doen't "A number less than 2" mean "x < 2"? Or Is it valid for both? (I'm a spanish-speaker with this doubt, I hope I isn't asking bad it), If you are so gentile with my quation.
Great lesson and I'll have the Grandson watch. A couple comments: in the example "3 times a number added to 4 is 16", in the video you came up with 3x + 4 yet the statement actually is reverse of that 4 + 3x, "added to 4" is the correct statement I believe, even though addition is commutative. Some graders may not see it in that perspective. Other than that I'd prefer an explanation of the use of "X" or "N" being the variable because when we start adding objects like balls, rings and chairs it is easier for the student to relate variables to actual objects name. Great Video!!
I am 64 and a widow having to learn math again after 47 years. I am starting with fractions and going forward. What book are you talking about and how do I get one. I want to find all your videos. You make it easy in language I understand.Thank you.
uuuhhhh. i love ur styles.. how u read the problem. but honestlly distracted by an expression (Dcued) or triple D. actually its probably E!!!!! quad drupel E in my brain! gosh i love those E math problems. so big and beautifull. omg! :D (its clean & tactful n only adults will understand. if their paying attention to my new CYBER QUEEN.of math, droool) ;0
the video is very helpful, thank you so much, by the way I cannot understand why *twice a number less than 4 gives us 10* a snd the answer had to be " 4-2x=10" how can you know that 2x is negative? LESS THAN means that 4 is greater than 2x can you please explain it to me .' thank u
hello , yes, since 2x is smaller than 4 it has to be written after 4 for instance, lets take 8 and 6 now if ur asked to subtract u will probably write 8-6 with 8 first and then 6 right? so, as it has been asked in the qn "less than" which means' to subtract' we write 4-2x=10 instead of 2x-4=10 and yeah to not be confused again 2x-4=10 is wrong :P ask if ay doubts here u go
could you solve this (x+y+z) -13=10 in mathematics sentence .this is our assignment 2 He told us dont use a word two how can we translate it please thanks
