- I always wondered is it worth the money to buy a carpenters hatchet or could I get by with a camp hatchet for my outdoor building and adventure. this is an apples to apples comparison of two Estwing hatchets
EGO SAW VIDEO: • Is it Worth It? The EG...
I've been going back and forth between buying one of these axes for the past few days and this is no joke the only video I've found in 3 hours of looking that actually showed me the information and use I was looking for thanks brother.
Glad I was able to help you
Me too!
Glad you liked the video
The curved blade applies more pressure during the initial strike.
True true
I'd like to see a video of the best way to sharpen a hatchet
Ok thanks for letting me know.
what if you just grind the shingle hatchet blade into the same C shaped profile as the camp model? really wouldnt be hard to do with a grinder.
@@pezpengy9308 i wouldn't trust myself to temper it right
Thanks. Great video.
Glad you liked it. Appreciate the support
Seems like it’s a matter of geometry, which was what I hoped to find out but didn’t get to. The camping hatchet looks like it has near grind so lends itself to biting into wood and is better for chopping. The carpenters hatchet looks like it splits better with more of a fatter wedgier edge. How do they compare? Be great if you could hold the, up side by side. Thanks for the video.
Thanks for watching and this nice comment
It depend how much force you use in the strike.
Thanks for the comment
Cuándo tienes una hacha de campamento todo está perfecto todo está bien pero cuando logras tener una hacha de carpintero cambia todo la hacha de carpintero es mejor en todo
