Yes, it is sad and everyone is teary at the end because of Judy's life, not Renee's performance. Renee would deserve an oscar if they had a category for "Best Performance by an Actress in a MISCAST Role."
It was a good, somewhat sad movie but her singing was about a B-. They could have easily used the real Judie's voice, there are more than enough of her recordings available. Renee did a good job of acting but overall I give the movie 3 stars of 5. It was very slow.
Absolutely right! I wouldn't a pay a nickel to watch Renée in concert, much less beleive that she's Judy Garland, the little girl with the powerful voice in her time! People are not deaf, they're fucking stupid! They're brainwashed to believe it!!!

I agree! This movie has no energy. Renee pocked her lips the entire movie, kept on making the same grimace. Not one second I was not thinking: "It's Renee trying so hard to mimic Judy." And the one playing Liza...what kind of valley girl act was that! The whole thing was annoying. And her singing was unbearable!
