How come these videos say to wear gloves, but the people in the video aren’t wearing them? And how do they open the dyed pieces with no gloves, but have no dye on their hands? My last project, an ice dye, I had blue fingers for 3 or so days. I love seeing the techniques; thanks for sharing. I really liked the flag fold and the diamond placed square resist.
Lovely video! I’ve seen many shibori videos, but not many that show specifically how to fold SHIRTS; most have perfect square or rectangular pieces of fabric. I’m going to look to see if you ever did the long sleeve video as that is what I am aiming for (father-in-law’s request). I don’t imagine it will be TOO difficult to adapt now that you have shown me what to do with the short-sleevers. Many thanks once again, and keep ‘em coming! Oh, and greetings from South Florida (Fort Lauderdale) USA!
@@didsburyartstudio I’ve done a bunch of long sleeve tie dyes; I was looking specifically for the shibori methods of folding and dyeing, but thank you just the same. I will check out your other videos soon. Kudos once again!
Hi there! yes I found that putting each t-shirt into the washing machine with a little bit of washing powder made the white show up better. I did try Rit Colorstay dye fixative as well towards the end and I would use it again, recommend it. 🙂
Muy lindas las primeras pero sale una mujer en ingles

Oh exciting!
If I dye my black Levi's shirt, will the Levi's red tab dye also...or does the tab stay it's original colour ?
Hi there if the tab is mainly cotton I would've thought it will change colour after dyeing...
I love the first one too, but im a huge fan of the scrunchie ones.

Just to confirm you presoaked in colour fixative some people do it after.? xx

I was actually wondering how to wash the shibori after its dyed to keep the white part of the fabric white?
