THE SHITWORKERS - 'Too Tough' (audio-only): Live at Monkey Rooms, Cheras, 2000.

THE SHITWORKERS: Bullet - drums, Fendi - bass/backing vocals & Joe Kidd - guitar/vocals - recorded at the (now gone) art colony & free-noise/improv-experimental music space in Cheras in year 2000.
this session saw two of our songs recorded on a four-track machine for a compilation called "Monkeys", released by Monkey Records (the off-shoot of Huang Huo Records). other bands in the comp which we remember were MAHARAJAH COMMISSION, MOXUAN & CHONG YANG, plus many more.
this track here is digitised from an old cassette tape found recently. the tape, which could be a rough transfer from the 4-track recordings, has four different takes, two of 'Too Tough' and two of 'Ugly', the one above is the second take of 'Too Tough' which sounds much better than the other.

THE SHITWORKERS were a project band formed by Joe & Fendi, both original members of Carburetor Dung.
the first version of the band started in late 1994, with some friends helping out, namely bassist Ami (of THE NOISEMONGERS, and later with PILGRIMS DC/THE PILGRIMS and RELATIONSHEEP) and drummer Maslinda (she later played with SINEAD O'MINE, which much later played a reunion show as KENANGA OREN (with Fendi on bass). btw, back then Fendi was on vocals, with Joe on guitar.
The Shitworkers (Part I) played two shows, the second with lead guitarist Jijoe (of SEPTIC YOUTH, ACIDEATH, SICKNOISE, THE STONE CROWES, SKC, ROB, KOFFIN KANSER tec. etc.) and then went silent in early 1995.
the project was revived in late 1999 as a trio with Fendi & Joe joined by drummer Bullet (PUNISHER / NEMESIS). Shitworkers (Part II) played four shows , released a rehearsal tape, joined several comps, and then gone dead again in mid-2000s.

THE SHITWORKERS adalah sebuah band projek yang dibentuk oleh Joe & Fendi, kedua-duanya ahli asal Carburetor Dung.
Versi pertama band ini bermula pada akhir tahun 1994, dengan beberapa rakan membantu, iaitu pemain bass Ami (dari THE NOISEMONGERS, dan kemudian dengan PILGRIMS DC/THE PILGRIMS dan RELATIONSHEEP) dan pemain dram Maslinda (dia kemudiannya bermain dengan SINEAD O'MINE, yang kemudian mengadakan pertunjukan reuni sebagai KENANGA OREN (dengan Fendi di bass). btw, line-up asal ini Fendi menyanyi, dengan Joe bermain gitar.
The Shitworkers (Bahagian I) main dua gigs, show yang kedua dibantu oleh gitaris utama Jijoe (dari SEPTIC YOUTH, ACIDEATH, SICKNOISE, THE STONE CROWES, SKC, ROB, KOFFIN KANSER, dll.). line-up ini bubar pada awal tahun 1995.
Projek ini dihidupkan semula pada akhir tahun 1999 sebagai trio dengan Fendi & Joe bergabung dengan pemain dram Bullet (PUNISHER / NEMESIS). Shitworkers (Bahagian II) ini main empat gigs, merilis satu pita latihan, bergabung dalam beberapa kompilasi, dan kemudian hilang lagi pada pertengahan tahun 2000-an.
