Already deleted the app, this was just the icing. Glad they made it right. I did not do the deal, but felt the pain for others. Thanks for all you do for the couponing community.
My comment is the same as yesterday's. It's not just old spice. They have left other offers after they claim they expired and haven't made those offers right. They only made old spice right because of the massive backlash. I did 2 other offers that week that they also said expired but was still in the app. So they have to fix the app
I agree with everything you said. Trust has to be built and this is a good first step. I will be watching to see what happens going forward. I don’t like it when someone messes with my money because I work hard for every penny.
Glad they did this for the folks who were impacted. Does it change my stance on using SK? NO! They get no second chances with me. Good luck to those who decide to stay with them. Just keep in mind, they did it once, they'll do it again. Maybe not to this degree but a little here and there on each customer. The only reason they reversed course is b/c of all the bad press & threats of legal action.
I can appreciate your stance on this matter because it was a lot to take in. I think we have ALL needed second chances in this world. As hard as I have tried to be a good mother, community member, and Christian, I have still fell short. All you have to do is ask my kids they will tell you every bad response I made in their life. It is quite humbling. However, I completely understand why you feel the way you did. I was poised to lose $80.
@@crystalwebb5725for a couple of years now Shopkick has been doing people wrong here and there with their shady practices. It’s not a reputable company.
Have to say, I was shocked. I was one who received kicks, redeemed them for gift cards and had spent the gift cards. My “kick grab” came from NEW purchases made many days later. Not having peace of mind that a deal is a deal once it’s complete is unsettling. Returning the stolen kicks is step #1. I’m not so sure I’m jumping back in quite yet. Great video, as always!!
I deleted the app and Im not going back ever...the only reason theyre fixing it now is because of all the commotion done on social media. Whats to stop them from doing it again? Best of luck to those who chose to continue to use them.
I already returned everything so this just complicates if further lol. Also, they have always charged a "fee" of 50 kicks any time you cashed out to paypal.
Thanks for the update Nick! I got some kicks back as well. I am not sure if all of my kicks were restored because they never stated how many they took and I didn't know exactly how many I had in my account. I know it wasn't a large amount because I tend to keep my rebate money moving. Going forward, I'm inclined to hold off on using their app d/t it's historically bad functionality, their new terms of service, and their bad customer service/reputation related to this debacle. I would reconsider if they changed the above issues and they need to include an indication of when offer is ending. Changing or ending offers mid-shopping trip is just too much sometimes! It also doesn't speak well of them that they had to have bad press to do the right thing. There are better, apps and rebates out there!
I got all my kicks back. And I hadn’t yet taken things back to the store. I was planing to this weekend. So for now, I’m proceeding cautiously. This is a good start in restoring trust. But it doesn’t fully make me trust them. So I’m going to be cautious. Maybe start with just video, walk in and scan kicks. I missed doing that. If things keep going okay for me and others, then start with small limit one things. And maybe eventually I’ll trust them more. But I will not forget they done this and can do it again.
The thing is, this is not the first shady thing they have done. I cannot tell you how many times they tried to short my kick claims. At least 50% of the time. If I did not screenshot EVERYTHING and contact support, they would have shorted me like half of the offers THEY made. When this happened with the OS, I didn’t even bother with support, just went straight to return the products. I am done with them.
I didn't do the OS deal but haven't been able to cash out to PayPal for over a week. I finally caved and was able to get an Amazon gift card. I'm hoping they can't/won't reverse the gift card.
They never even gave me the 5,000 points. I cashed out, spent my little gift cards, left a bad app review and deleted my account and app. Poke me with a fork because I’m done.
Don’t. They are shady and have been for years now. The OS incident was the cherry on top. You can’t convince me they didn’t do this to drive numbers for their year end sales, making themselves look more valuable to potential new brands who might want to pay for a campaign on their platform. If they give the illusion that they can drive product sales, they can charge more money for their service. Not only are they shady and operating under a complete lack of integrity, they didn’t care about running people all over on Christmas. They’re only doing this because they’re getting smoked on social media and are quaking in their boots that a lawsuit is eminent.
Just curious did enough people return the deodorants that they then were at the number of allowed kicks for this offer and it was ok to pay out? Not to be negative but I'm just curious. Because otherwise this would be a huge hit for business. Wondering if cuts will be coming to make up for it, like deals that aren't as good going further.
I personally didnt do the old spice deal but I am curious to the people that return them all..if they gave the kicks to the one that returned the items..do they have to go purchase the deodorant again?
If, and only if, I can cash out to PayPal I was considering going back to buy the Old Spice back. I don’t feel right about taking the kicks after making the return but I also don’t want to put myself in a position where they can take it back again.
Have any of you thought about dm ing Lovelyti about this? I don't know when she would post a video about it, but I think she would be interested in covering this.
Thanks for the video. I think its going to take a lot to gain my trust back. I agree with you 100%. Their terms are sketchy. Also the whole issue still lies about the taxes for those who have enough to report. I took the deodorant back because i hadn't heard back for many days. Proceed with caution would be wise.
The oldest excuse companies make a system error we all heard that one before knock it off really I didn't do the deal but I totally understand the frustration.
I am a maybe, and definitely proceed with caution. Still concerned about the fact that kick balance changes are made without corresponding "kicks activity history" records. The reversal was not recorded and now the 5k "sorry" kicks still show but are no longer valid.
I still don't trust them and wont use again. I didn't do the Old Spice deal but what about the folks who already returned the products? In addition to the kicks, they need to provide them with a free Walmart gift card to repurchase the products.
I returned my OS and I still received my kicks back. I cashed in immediately & don't regret it because it's for my time & hassle for dealing with this.
@@mrsbs7146same here. The kicks they actually took from me were not OS kicks it was for other things. Got a few Amazon cards and checked out on Amazon quickly.

Nope, Im scan kicking until I hit my final cash out, then never again. Not messing around with those fools again.

Same here. They stole other kicks not OS kicks.
I had a notification from them this morning where they added my kicks back. Sooo surprised!

I tell ya...A good class action law suit for false advertising should be in order!
WARNING it counts against TAXES and SS #...... The kicks are" CREDITED kicks" NOT " purchase kicks" be careful if you need to claim these kicks.
Good to know. Thanks.

Fool me once....
I didn't do the OS deal but haven't been able to cash out to PayPal for over a week. I finally caved and was able to get an Amazon gift card. I'm hoping they can't/won't reverse the gift card.
No paypal option. Not good 😐

I have tried twice now to cash out to PayPal and it is not going through. Once it does i am done

So what happened to people that returned their old spice?
I was wondering the same thing.

I normally cash out to PayPal and can’t now. I also tried to cash out to a Visa card and it won’t let me.

My pay pal is gone plus I cannot get a retail card I'm kinda worried about this App 😊 Thanks Nick for update God Bless you
They definitely messed up when they took everyone’s kicks but I am glad they are coming back to fix the error.
I also think I will use Shopkick but probably only for things that I can return if SK messes up again at least for awhile
I'm bummed out bc on Mon I took all my deos back of i had known they were gonna reissue i wouldn't have ugh 😢
I did not participate but this scares me away
Well not only PayPal has been removed, but i redeemed a $25 visa gift card and it’s still not showing up in my account
I got rewarded kicks back but never got any taken away originally. Lol.
This just happened to a PayPal I purchased this afternoon. Now it says refunded??? What the heck
Looks like they're still up to their shady ways.
The oldest excuse companies make a system error we all heard that one before knock it off really I didn't do the deal but I totally understand the frustration.
I don't know if I will.....I want to, but trust is so easy to lose and so hard to regain
Any word on when paypal will be available again? I want to get my money out asap. Any idea how the shopkick rewards visa works?
Yeah still no PayPal 😢
Gift card for groceries works great too
I wonder if the people who deleted their account and the app can log back in and get those kicks that were taken
What about the ones that returned the OS. Will they take back the kicks again
I am a maybe, and definitely proceed with caution.
Still concerned about the fact that kick balance changes are made without corresponding "kicks activity history" records. The reversal was not recorded and now the 5k "sorry" kicks still show but are no longer valid.

I dont recive nothing
I have not received anything.
I got some but not all of my kicks back.
Thanks.
What about the folks who returned the Old Spice? Did they get kicks?

Cashed out for Walmart gift cards… and they already disappeared . Shocker
I'm sorry. They really are showing just how nasty they are as a company.
Wow that's great 👍
