Not sure collections are included in Standard plan. So what’s the use of unlimited boards if no way to organise them?

Hey Zoltan! Glad it helped! The Premium licenses are tied to the Workspace. So if you have 2 Workspaces with Premium features then that's 2 Premium licenses you'd need to pay for. But if you transfer any boards you have from a free plan Workspace into another Workspace that has Premium, then that board will now have access to the Premium features. You could look into grouping your boards by Collections within one Workspace if you need to organise them some more help.trello.com/article/1004-creating-collections-for-business-class-teams. This was helpful. I had gold and the change kind of threw me for a loop. I do have a question about your board export power up before I pay for it. Will it save images from cards in the PDF? There is a large homeschooling community that uses Trello for lesson planning but many of us need a way to print/log what was accomplished that week to submit to our regulatory boards. Being able to include pictures and images in those exported PDFs would be amazing as they could act as a portfolio of the students completed work.

Thanks for your comment :) Board Export will include a clickable link to images in the PDF export but you cant see the whole image as you might inside a card in Trello. Hey @Ruben, unfortunately they're not. Last I heard was that the method they were using for Mirror cards didnt work as expected so more development work is needed. Not sure how long it will be but thinking it might be a while yet :(
How many workspaces do you get in the free version?
Hey Emily, I think you can have as many workspaces as you like on the free plan, but there is a restriction of 10 boards per workspace. Hope that helps! Dan

So I guess you can have unlimited boards but its not so easy to organise them :( I agree that isn't ideal! If you post/ask about that in the Atlassian community or on Reddit the team at Trello might pick it up as I know some of them read and respond to questins (inlcuding the Trello CEO)

How can I set multiple due dates for one card. I have several tasks which need completing on different days but I only know how to set 1 due date per card
Hey @Alisha, if you have Trello Standard or above (Premium, Enterprise) then you can set due dates using Advanced Checklists for these sub-tasks. help.trello.com/article/942-how-to-use-advanced-checklists-to-set-due-dates-and-add-members-to-checklist-items
If you are on the free plan, then it's quite tricky to set more than one due date per card, especially now that Custom Fields are restricted to the paid plans too. You could try this Power-Up to display additional due dates on the front of a card, though it won't give you notifications trello.com/power-ups/60e068efb294647187bbe4f5
Otherwise I think the only other option is to just have a new card for each item you need a due date for.

I don't know man. They make everything complicated which make new user confused and afraid to touch the paid plans.
Its like playing an MMORPG game 3yrs late and you're fucking confused of what to do first and what things you should. Not do.
Also there is little to no explanation about 'what if you separate the board by multiple workspace via features".
Lets say workspaceA has boards that doesnt user premium features. While worksoaceB used premium features.
Are free user going to get limited access on workspaceA?
Also regarding allowing free user as guest on just 1 board of a workplace.
So what if you make several workspace with only one board so they can access multiple boards
Hi James haha yeh I know what you mean! Though I think in the long run this is to make things simpler. but it is still confusing right now.
Re the workspaces. My understanding is that users are either part of a workspace or not (except guests, Ill explain that in a second). So to use premium features a user needs to be in a workspace that has the Premium plan (this is billed based on how many users there are in that workspace). That would be Workspace B in your examples. So that all works ok.
But if that user then went to Workspace A that doesn't have Premium, then this user (and all other users) would not see any Premium features because they are not not working on a board inside the workspace that has premium (aka Workspace B).
It's like if you are working from an office (Workspace B) that has free coffee as a premium feature of that office. And then you go across to road to work in another office that isn't a premium office (Workspace A) then you don't have access to free coffee anymore. Until you go back to the premium office. (not sure if that helps but hopefully it does!)
Re guests - Users are only a "Guest" if they are added to one board in a workspace. Any more than that and you need to pay for them to be in a Premium workspace. If you create multiple Premium workspaces, and invite a guest to each one, that's ok. However you would then be paying for multiple Premium plans for yourself. So you might as well just have one Premium workspace and add them to there. If you can make do with just one board then its free, but for them to be on more they/you will need to pay. Perhaps one premium board with the premium features and then use another free workspace for the other boards? that would still be free for that extra user.

@@ChibiKeruchan yes thats the main difference between Gold and the other plans. Though that's how Premium (was Business Class) and Enterprise have always been. They were tied to a workspace (used to be called Teams). Removing Gold, the last user based plan makes it the same across all plans so in theory is easier to understand in the future. But if you have Gold now, then its a pretty big change.
