Being a former Cali guy....I LOVE punching/Flippin and froggin. I'm counting the days till its go time
I find punching hard, haven’t had a lot of success yet but I’m committed
Great video thanks for sharing.
Mr.Z spits a lot of serious game in this video. He is super knowledgeable in this video. Somethings that you talk about, I wouldn't even think of thinking about. That's why you're the pro, and I'm not. Lol.
I love your UA-cam channel, bro. And also love watching your glidebait videos. I'm going to start trying more of the glide bait fishing this year.
Great video
Thanks, Chris.
Great ,Informative video .
Chris keep it up hermano!!! there is always the next tournament and a new opportunity to get it done
Great, now I have to wear a helmet while punching 40ft in the air. Good stuff, sir. Thanks!
i'm definitely going to try blacking out my braided line
Thanks for the video Chris, where I live there is not much grass. However, there is some and this video helps me to get the right gear for punching 👊😎
Awesome info im gonna start punching and pitching more this year...thanks
Great meeting you at bass pro yesterday! My kids are STILL talking about how nice you were to them and how they can’t wait to try the new swim baits!!
Appreciate y’all playing along, Cody! The video from that day just went live
Man the camera ya'll use in some of this footage is baller af! Especially the shots of you flipping and the water splashing.. wild. Great advice, I don't punch often... just never was something I did. I''ll have to check it out. Great vid Zaldain. I hope to see you in the top 10 in the classic. I'll be watching live. Safe travels brother.
I hope to be there. Last time the Classic was there I had a shot at 😉 things just went sideways the final day. I like the place 😁
Loved this video very informative man this is why your my favorite angler you always crush it man keep it up can’t wait for the next king video next Tuesday!
Gonna be a very veggie filled video Tuesday
@@Zaldaingerous super jacked man! Watched this video and it definitely showed me some stuff! Thank you Chris!
Never thought about coloring the line 🤔 - definitely gonna give that a go.
Yessir 👊🏽
Thanks lots of great information, good luck at the classic!
Love a good punching bite! Good luck at the next event!
Thanks!!! And yes it’s one of the funnest bites to be on!
Definitely need to get into punching, I live 1 hour from Guntersville and it can be thick mats towards the late summer
It’s a fun bite kinda like frogging and swimbaiting. Quality over quantity
its addicting. More fun than a frog for me.
Dude Chris have you ever watched the bass professor?
Having the right setup will make punching more fun. Get the lightest rod and reel combo dobyn dx746 curado mgl
Are you trying to push other brands on my page? 😆 broooooo
Thanks, Chris! Very detailed video, will have to try some your tips on the Delta!
Amazing vid bro. Get out there and win a tournament!
Im right handed and ive never not had a right hand retrieve ... especially with punching in mind ... should i switch to left hand retrieve or ... ? would like to know your thoughts ... ?
Finally got 6 box's of Bass Mafia swimbait's coming. I'm using the Owner belly weighted 6/0- 8/0... Yay or Nay!? I got some 8/0 in the flashy swimmer and then some 6/0 just weighted... Tell me your input!!? Thanks.. stay safe this year. 🔨🔨💪💪🎣🎣✌️
Such a big secret 😂
Good tips good video
🙏👊🏽
before today I didn't know punching existed...I will be spending some money!!!
Thinking about converting my perfect pitch Levante to a punching/frog rod. What’s your opinion on that?
Great video Chris. One additional question I have for you is what knot do you tie for the oz and half and bigger? There’s a big debate here in Florida between snelling and a traditional palomar. Thanks!
Bro, I’ve always “stuck” with the snell. The only advantage I see with a traditional knot is the slight 1/8-1/4” “setback” behind the wide tungsten weight. Could be beneficial?
I want to use this in Oklahoma
Still hits weird when they announce you as being from Texas on stage
Try freedom tackle weights for punching they work better the line tie is on the side
Never seen one. I’m pretty simple on my weights
@@Zaldaingerous it almost acts like a swing head but say u rig a d bomb on it the tip of the d bomb touches the weight when u rig ur soft plastic un like the 2 wires coming out on both sides of the football head like a regular swing head , it rigs like a bullet weight slides down on a tip of a soft plastic
Da man
👊🏽
Where/what jig skirt?
Now I wanna go to California Delta
Me too me too
Nothing better than pulling an 8 lb'er out of some junk! Love punching down here in Florida!
Yessir - got a little bit of it in while down there this last month!
To bad the highest weight the closest bass pro had was 1oz...
Use any tungsten around enough rocks and docks, all tungsten paint chips away sooner or later. Every brands says theirs doesn't chip.

😁
Typical googan. Giving tips on techniques he used to not cash a check in the first two tournaments “2.0”. 👎
Maybe a rattle inside the nuke punch so I can stop robbing them from my neds 🪡
