Your distributed generation model is an interesting concept. Many critical locations already have back-up generators. I am not familiar with issues that new large power users have with grid connect. My concept of distributed generation involves on site battery back-up, where the batteries would be charged by both local renewables and grid sources. Two model options to ponder.
I see the topic is just a general overview of the issue. But too much talk of this Karno generator without actually telling us what it is seems weird. Sounds like your trying to make it a magical device vs a Generac. What is it? Is it Mr. Fusion combined with a flux capacitor?
