This is one of my and my dads favorite songs. My dad went home to be with the Lord on April 29th,2018. I sing this song in our church as a memory of him. The Lord has blessed me so much in learning and singing this song. One day every knee shall bow and every tongue shall confess that Jesus Christ is Lord of all to the Glory of God the Father. AMEN. Will be singing this song tomorrow night in our Wednesday night service. Praise the LORD and Glory be God in the Highest.
Why did you stop? I could have listened to it again and again! ( I did play it over and over ). I felt the Presence of the Lord so strongly while you were singing. I'm preparing my funeral so my children don't have to. I'm elderly so I could be called home at any moment. (All our lives, we don't know when, but I know at my age, it could be any time.). This is one of the songs I'm planning to have sung. I think of my parents and loved ones gone before me and know that is where they will be when I, too, get home. God bless you and keep singing. Just a little add on, here. I am a retired nurse and saw some things most people never see. I walked past a patient's room one night and saw a brilliant light coming from his room. I ran in and realized he was passing. Such peace and such a light as I had never seen before. It was like he and I were engulfed in it. Another patient's room was filled with the Presence of the Holy Spirit and I could feel angels. The tears just flowed from my eyes. I was witnessing a little taste of Heaven as she left this earth and entered her Heavenly Home. I walked around almost in a daze the rest of my shift. Such peace and joy. I could have gone with her if the Lord had allowed, so beautiful was her homegoing. When my mother passed, she was unconscious, but suddenly she opened her eyes. The look of sheer wonder came over her face, not an earthly look. She saw something so magnificent, so beyond words, and I saw her soul leave her body. My children took pictures while he was on his deathbed. When they looked at the pictures, they had captured angels at the head of his bed and on the side. We hadn't seen them, but God had allowed us that glimpse which comforted our hearts. We were able to share that moment with those who loved Daddy, especially those who did not know the Lord. I KNOW, KNOW, KNOW Heaven is real and yes, I, too, am longing and waiting for the Blessed Holy One to see.
That has to be my all time favorite songs. I have been playing music in church all my life, mostly from the church hymnal and some from gospel music. I remember the very first time I heard it. We were serving at a little Baptist church near our home. We had moved from our community where I grew up and had joined their. They had one of their frequent member show up one night and he sat down at the piano and began this blessed song. It started quiet, but as it progressed, his volume got a little stronger as the song got sweeter and sweeter, and my heart got touched stronger by the minute. By the end of it, I felt just like yall did at the singing of this one. You blessed me doing this so much. Thank you.
That's where you will find me. At the precious feet of my Lord.

The last words my sister and I said to each other were "I'll meet you at Jesus' feet!"
This song blessed us both so much!
