    If the brine is discharged properly as intended, this would help solidify water a resource for continued growth down here without harming our environment. There is a lot of tourism that relies on fishable waters

      I'm pretty sure no one has looked at how this scale of output will affect local wildlife. The Port just started their 100 MGD offshore permits last year. NRA's plan is for four and a half times that. This is a critical nursery pathway for many important fish and it's not in the TPWD's recommended marine seawater desalination discharge zones. We need local experts looking at this ASAP.

      @jasonhale4129 if that is the case, this location and entity might not be right for this project. The need for this project should be satisfied in a way that isnt harmful to the environment other than energy requirements

    Ive always wondered if that brine could be dried refined on an area on land . I dont know much about the process but makes sense in my head ... corpus christi sea salt 🧂 lol

    Are they aware that the Nueces has been almost running dry the last 10 years. I’ve been fishing it for 45 years. Last 10 years can hardly run a Jon boat.

    what an eyesore! ,(like we don't have enough around here already). Put that thing down on the king ranch somewhere, WE DONT WANT TO SEE IT!
