My dude, you are insane. You do your research and know the facts, you explain it all very well...and then you pull something crazy out for entertainment. It's a great formula, especially for those of us who want to be entertained when learning. Great work!
If helium floats because it's lighter than air (but still posses mass) and a vacuum is, well, a void of "empty" space, the helium won't have anything to be lighter than.
Honestly, the most satisfying thing about this video in my opinion is that you at least explained the science. I'm tired of watching a lot of these videos that show what happens but doesn't explain why and often times say, "Don't try this at home." If you are gonna try it and show people, at least have an explanation for why it is happening.
Well one night when I was playing I went to light a cigar and accidentally hit my pick with the flame and less than two seconds later after I had dropped my pick because it burned like that and flamed up it pretty much just burned away
super awesome guy! he's so excited about what he is doing, its not some fake reaction and he's not going over the top he is just genuine, i like that. way to go man, only watched two vids and you got a subscriber. hope you keep having fun!
attempt to light a ping-pong ball on fire in a vacuum chamber,it should still be able to burn without oxygen due to the nitrocellulose...also have a look at the chamber pressure before/after to see crudely how much gas is released(should be quite a bit),if you can ignite the ball.....
@@KClO3 Nitrocellulose cannot burn without air, Traditional cinema film was made of it and steel rollers on the projector spool boxes prevented a fire in the filmgate reaching the reel. When the film caught alight on the rewinder, you just grabbed the burning strop out with your hand to stop the air. Just think about it. With the tons of film in the vaults, if it could burn inside the cans, every film studio in Hollywood would have gone up in flames.
@@wilsjane nitrocellulose has it own oxygen and it is easily released and not tightly bound like you said, how else would gunpowder burn? Why does gun cotton work in a firecracker?
I'm just wondering what your neighbors think of you. I'd be a little concerned seeing my neighbor lighting a bucket full of ping pong balls in the backyard
When I was a kid me and my friend used some ping pong balls to burn a Christmas tree that our neighbors had thrown out in their yard. They called the cops on us lol
I was a little pyromaniac as a child, because my mom was much more concerned that other dangers like soda and sugar would kill me instead, but she'd literally hand me a lighter and go tell me to burn stuff when I was like... eight. So I never really grew out of it. I'm talking, using hairspray to make a flamethrower indoors. In the bathroom. Imagine my shock and awe when I lit a ping pong ball on fire, on a saucer, on my carpet.
Does this mean with older ping pong balls that were more flame able that if I hit them hard enough and caused enough friction I could set it on fire on its own?
Divyesh Vartha are you sure? can you make a video to show that it is not possible to make older ping pong balls burn with enough heat caused by friction?
@@elijahjones1271 Elijah Jones first of all. I'm surprised you replied to a two year old comment. Now there is a spark temperature at which a substance will combust in the occurrence of a spark. Then there is a flash temperature (higher than spark temp.) at which the substance spontaneously bursts into flames. Now I think that friction alone isn't enough to bring the ball substance to flash temperature. At least when we're talking about normal table tennis play. Even if you rubbed it really fast on some rough surface, I doubt it will reach the flash temp. It must be an urban myth imo. (I haven't experimented with balls and fire tho, old or new, all this is based on theory)
It was very satisfying to watch that single ping-pong ball burn from the top, down. But, the 100 PING-PONG BALLS!!! It lasted WAAAYYYYYY longer than I thought it would take to go out. Wow.
Honey... The weird neighbor guy is setting things on fire again in his backyard. This time the flames went above the fence. If you don't say something, I will!

Me: no I didn’t buy any
Mom: Why!
Me: I bought 100 ping pong balls :)
You just got my like
And later you died of cancer
the question is how did you pour that box of ping pong balls into that bucket perfectly without any falling out

Yes it is.
Omg yes
0:41 "Nitrocellulose is made from nitrating cellulose..."
Lmao
YouEatAPotato Gaming That made me laugh so hard but I don't know why
YouEatAPotato Gaming Lol
And nitrating glycerin makes nitroglycerin.
Sometimes chemical terminology can sound very funny. LOL
So you're telling me that ping pong balls are awesome for survival?
StressedBacon If you paint it black which burns better from water bottle but what about other methods since there is cloud cover?
I know helium is lighter than air. but what would happen to a helium balloon in the vacuum chamber? Would it sink and pop?
Great videos.
Helium is lighter than air to be true. But it is still heavier than a vacuum. Just do the math.....
If helium floats because it's lighter than air (but still posses mass) and a vacuum is, well, a void of "empty" space, the helium won't have anything to be lighter than.
A balloon in a vacuum chamber would fall to the floor and expand, then leak out gas.
Since air try to travel from high pressure to low, I think baloon blows away!
Do your neighbors think that's how u cook? 2:28

Some guitar picks do this too
Stephen Smith How'd you find that out.
Sunwell Cleanser i know how he probably found out. I just want the story.

I would have lied and said i was was rocking hard and all the friction caused it to ignite XD
TON O'CLAY I really did think about saying that but I never could get it to happen.

-will it blend dude
2:47 That is one photogenic fire! I can't see how a flame could get more typical than this.
Idk how you never run out of ideas...good job!
100 burning ping pong balls vs liquid nitrogen.
Gunship this comment needs more likes
Gunship How about shredding 100 balls and then make a smokebomb? :P
Gunship nitrogen wins
Zockerland99 I don't think that would work in video ping pong balls doesn't look like they made too much smoke.
Frozen pingpong balls VS hydrologic press.
Nitrocellulose was also used in old film stock. The flammability was a huge issue causing large studio fires and “lost films”
Man U should have millions of subs... hope u will achieve a milestone soon ;)
Thank you so much for your videos! They always make my day :)
Please try to explain in much detail but also making it fun to learn kinda thing. These videos are really interesting. Good job. :)

The oxygen in its molecular structure is bonded with nitrogen which is inert. Therefore it cannot burn without external oxygen.

buckey is funnier
Cool Video :)
Your HOA must love you, lol
nitro cellulose i did not know that! great vid
Nice Video Man, you seem like a cool guy.
That's one of the most beautiful flames I've ever seen

Put a vaporizer inside a vacuum chamber!
I think that the vapor would behave pretty interesting!

let's gather round the campfire and sing our campfire song our c a m p f i r e s o n g song

Ping Pong ball Vs hydraulic press Vs hot 1000 degree knife Vs vacuum chamber Vs Chuck Norris.. the end
i think you should change your channel name to something sciencey :) also we didn't see a hydraulic press video in a while
SuperPower748 *your
shit
Dude, you have an insanely beautiful yard!!
watching the one ping pong ball burn from the top was so satisfying to watch
This channel has blown up!
Nice Experiment!

Yeah thx

shit son. I'd have been so lost without this. i thought it startedat 3:59

1:10 when you hit a real good ball while playing ping pong on the wii
Nice video! Why don't you put them in the vacuum chamber?
Is inhaling of the burning gases dangerous?
If you were my neighbor doing that in your yard, I'd call homeland security. See something, say something...

Great content! I'd like to see this done with 400 balls and 4 box fans aimed at an upward angle to create a fire tornado of burning ping pong balls..
Some people dont have ping pong balls and you burn them?
Jonathan Fancher he still making videos?
I dont spend them, i waste them.

No ping pong ball was harmed in the making of this video.

here did you learn all that stuff from?😂such knowledge, much video, wow

You can tell he’s a real pyro because of all his giggling when shit catches fire.
I wanna play a game where I light a ball, have a volley, and whoever's side the ball is on when it disintegrates loses the round
Gonna bring some ping pong balls when I go camping for firestarter.
You should see if you can hover a burning ping pong ball on a hair dryer,or maybe a melting, levitating piece of art by letting the heat melt it.
