so i was just vibing with my tech dech bored while watching this looking for ways to improve my board, and i landed my 1st kickflip
For the grip you can put it under a hairdryer to make it easier to remove
Ya so first buy a wooden deck then flat face wheels and then buy fbs grip, blckriver trucks! There u go guys that’s how to make a tech deck good!
great video man keep up the great work very helpful 👍
yo thank you so much on you how to ollie video i have been looking everywere for a toturial snd its all just of people showing off thank u so much bro i subscribed to you keep it up man
This helped me so much Phoenix
I acedently learned the kickflip during this
Rubber band was a dope little tip.keep give tips and trix.
thanks so much pheonix and im gonna give you a tip: if you have a glue gun and silicon stick you can glue the whole top part of your teck deck and it wil be very grippy so pls try it, its my own tip
Wait that actually sounds genius. is that instead of griptape? Also where do I get silicone sticks? This could be in a part 2 video if I can get some and I'll credit you
@@PhoenixsWorldVideos they're just the glue stick you put in the hot glue gun
good well edited content very enjoyable to watch :)
I have a tech deck I didn’t put the sand paper on and know I’m very good at techniques to keep my fingers very flat and when I go in a move curve them
I do the same regarding bushings. I use the thicker rubber bracelets
and only use the bushing i make from them as bottom bushings.
Why?
If you use the rubber for both bushings (top & bottom) it give too much flex when tightened normally (tip of kingpin barely passing the nut) and if you try to tighten it more the rubber flexes and the kingpin sticks out way too much.
So i use rubber on the bottom, hard plastic stock bushings on top. Gets perfect tightness (no over hanging kingpin) and flex still.
Even inverting the kin pin doesn’t help with doing both upper and lowers in rubber as you still have to over tighten it, and then the truck base won’t sit flush with the deck.
Though you could file the kingpin down i suppose, would be a pain if not done right as the nuts might not thread back on.
i didnt have my tech deck board for i 2 weeks and i cant get it off the ground wear can i get grip tape
Is 1/8 of an inch foam too big for my tech deck? If so where did you buy yours
I tried to peel off the pre-cut grip tape, but it only tears off the thin layer of the sticker. How do I peel off the rest?
Id say using a techdeck board would probably prevent you from breaking/snapping it since its plastic and strong.
I use actual skate board griptape for my tech deck!!
Mike Poe okay if u don't care ignore it lol and u do care bc u decided to leave your opinion
I just buy a just sheet of in nboard skateboard grip tape and cut like a thousand sheets for all my boards and it works amazing also just use a lighter to warm up tape the before removing and you won't have any glue residue
where can I buy sponge grip?
You can also get a lighter and put it on the sides tail and nose and push it up a little for more pop
Anyone know we’re u can buy tech deck tools by thenself
Great vid. In my experience alot of bearing wheels dont work with the tech deck trucks unless you round the ends near the pins down like most modern trucks are now. Also reshaping a techdeck seems to make it alot closer to a pro style imo. Which is fun to do since tech deck come in alot of nice brands and styles.
i got mine yesterday and after some flicking it around the trucks are nice and soft. i hope they are not broken..... but honestly as much fun you could have with 3 dollars.....
What’s is that repair kit called I have been looking for one please.
where do u get the things to take off the wheels?
where did you get the elastic from that u use in the bushings
Where can I get this grip tape and how is it called
Where do you get the foam for grip? Do I need to order from finger board sites or is there some sort of foam strip I can get at the local arts and crafts store and cut to fit?
I bought a pack of pre cut rectangles of foam grip from fingerboardstore.de as I was getting parts shipped from there anyway, but you can get it from a bunch of different fingerboard sites for about the same price (custom designs on it are more expensive).
Also you can buy in bulk if you look up "Neoprene Tape" - just make sure its as wide as your board and not too thick. I've never tried it but had it recommended.
Were can I get the foam grip tape
Broken Knuckle / P-Rep sells foam grip on their site for a few bucks and you get about 5 sheets
More tech deck/Fingerboard hacks videos
What's the graphic on this first deck?
Should I use superglue to stick on neoprene sheets? I can't find any neoprene tape
Only if u can get it on flat first try as it would be much harder to peel up when lining it up
Where can I buy those Grip?
Do you know where I can buy all the prices of a fingerboard separately, I want to build my own out of wood but I can’t find all the tiny peices
Are you looking for wood veneer strips to press a deck? You can get all the other parts from any major fingerboard website and nuts and bolts should come included. Also some sites can tell you which parts fit together
Thanks you
What if I have metal bushings
I used that hack to way way back😁
Will a hair tie work?
I prefer tech deck board because you can wash it all the time
What tech deck is that?
Where can i buy foam grip?
I got mine from chemsfb along with my deck, but you can get it on any fingerboard website, or buy a roll of neoprene tape if you want it in bulk
For AleX: my hand needs a thrasher hoodie
What is a Hard bushingg
Awesome
why didnt i see this lol
Are the pro series tech decks good? I have two do them and I use them the most
I actually want to get some as they don't seem to sell them in any stores here. I might order some online and review them
where do you get your foam grip tape
I got mine from chemsfb along with my deck, but you can get it on any fingerboard website, or buy a roll of neoprene tape if you want it in bulk
What is better to buy 36mm or 96mm?
Wide tech decks are definitely better for tricks, also the extra wide ones come with trucks that have rubber bushings.
Where did u get foam grip
I got it from fingerboardstore.de as I was getting other parts shipped with it
Where do u get the foam grip tape?
I got mine from fingerboardstore.de but often its cheaper to get it wherever your deck comes from if you have to pay shipping
Just go buy a close up fingerboard. They have a wooden deck , bearings on their wheels , foamy griptape rubber premium bushings , china trucks and they only cost like 20$
what is that pro fingerboard you have its awesome!
Thanks! I made a video on it if you want the full parts list and sources - it's a Chems FB deck + grip with black river trucks and clear flatface G4 wheels
I LOVE YOUR JAPANESE BOARD
Dope board
If only Time travel was real
This is for the comment people. Should I get plastic bearing wheels or rubber ones
Softer wheels are more grippy but may stick on slides. Most urethane wheels (like my clear ones) are basically as hard as plastic but roll smoother
what i did for my bushings was to take the rubber piece on those water balloons that u put on ur hose
I do not recommend modifying the tech deck as It could ruin it Plus It dosn’t make sense in the first place why you would change it
Why do u have to clean the glue off? Cant u just straight up use the tape next
80k VIEWSSS and 4.29k SUBSS ayee
i think i have the altemet tech deck hack buy a pro fingerboard
I like the video but my grip gaps look better without a ruler💀
I WANT IT NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
pov. you use the tech deck grip tape as sand paper and the sand paper as grip tape
I do mines made of paper and color it 🌈
Same bro
Bruh his professional fingerboard is more expensive than my actual skateboard
I have no tools :(
$250 finger board oh hell no
Use mob bro!!!
Muito bom
Ta dã 😂
I feel like teck decks are made kinda poorly because it’s harder to do tricks on there fore it’s more realistic
@@nikosoup7999 I’m just saying tech decks seem hard to use and I kinda like it
just buy a p-rep finger board you will be better of than using a tech deck
Your info on the wheels is completely wrong dude, "if it fits blackriver, your good"? Not the case at all dude, most pro wheels will not fit tech deck hangers unless you reshape them first
God bless spread the gospel
me with 1.50 dollar fingerboard bc im broke ;-;
Just buy real grip tape for a real board
Or alternatively... step 1:
Buy a professional fingerboard.
If you want to get into I definitely recommend it. Did a video comparing cheap vs pro as well
1.0k likes to see what I said before edit
Ur mumma
just skill dosent change crap
Or just buy a real fingerboard
Tip: just buy a real wooden fingerboard 😅
idk if i should just buy a real fingerboard or deck out my tech deck with bling
I did a full comparison review of the tech deck vs my pro fingerboard setup if u want the fullll comparison and my opinion on that :D
Awesome
Tech decks can be 2 things.
1. Miniature skateboard
2. (If you take off the wheels trucks and grip tape) it can also be a miniature snowboard.
Ain't ni way bro
And if you tie a string in a hole you have something to do in the car so basically a airboard
@@Freizavr windeck
