Just as a thought for you, when my paint is as thick as yours, I always add a 'little' water at a time (til you get the consistency you like) to the paint puddle on the paper plate. These Metallics are often like this. I only mentioned this as I have felt a similar frustration using Metallica. Lovely, lovely video today!
