Even though he did not win any games for them that season, Skip was actually right about Keenum being a spark plug for the team. He got put right into the starting lineup and he got Andre Johnson 3 TD’s in one game while Matt Schaub for some reason could not do that in the first 6-7 games of the season

It's not the O-Line, The WR, or even the D-Fence. He was thrown in there mid way through the season and he went from being the practice squad tackling dummy to first string starter overnight. I think if we get a veteran QB in the free agency or draft a QB in the 2nd or 3rd RD of the Draft give him and Keenum a QB competition because I think if they do that we will get Case Keenum to play at his best. The other two QB's had their chances and they looked worse and lost by bigger margins when they started. Keenum made games that the Texans should lost by 6 touchdowns looked close simply by his greatness. If the Texans had any games that was supposed to be close Keenum would have won them for them. He simply had to compensate too much for the team, but he was just one man and couldn't do it all by himself.
The Texans Ranked 17th in the Offensive Line according to ProFootballFocus.com. Our O-line was in the middle of the pack and wasn't the worst in the NFL. The Seahawks were ranked 30th and they just won a Superbowl with a 5'11 3rd round draft pick and a stellar Defense. Just a little food for thought.

I got news for you. Matt Schaub will be the starting QB next year. he will be the bridge QB while the draft choice learns. Probably the best thing to do anyways. Schaub had a terrible year last year, but for the most part he has been a good QB.

If you watch tape from when he started in KC and tape later in the season you will see 3 huge factors that handcuffed Case. 1. Kubiak's playbook fit Schaub all short dump pass plays with little creativity. Even the WR's complained about this offense. Kubiak begin to strip Case of his style of play which is Aggressive and wide open! So Case begin to become conservative and tried to fit into Kubiak's offense. 2. The Oline fell apart big time. On some plays I counted less then 2 seconds and he was hit. Any QB would have been killed. Look at Troy Aikman and Peyton Manning's first year tape and you will see the same struggles with protection. 3. They say the best friend to a QB is a good running game and a good TE. Arian Foster went down in Case's first game and never came back.Ben Tate was hurt and was not near 100% we brought in RBs off the street for most of the season. Owen Daniel's injury took away our best TE. Case had to do everything on his own. As a rookie with no training camp or reps with first string until he started against KC! Now what QB do you see in this draft that in those conditions could do better? Case Now will have a new coach that will highlight his skills not hide them a running game defenses will finally have to respect and an entire training camp to continue his progression. Case Keenum may or may not be the answer but he deserves a REAL shot not just thrown in to a beat up team with a coach on the way out. Give Case a chance to run the Texans at full strength. Kubiak was the reason Keenum's stats got worse as the season progressed because he tried too hard to kill Keenum's natural talent by designing plays that completely went against keenum's natural ability. Any coach knows that you design schemes and plays to take advantage of your player's talent, in Keenum's case Kubiak did the opposite. It was as if Kubiak wanted to see Keenum fail so that he could bring his boy Schaub back into the starting lineup.
Yeah.i had no problem with keenum until kubiak and the injuries started in.big arm,mobility should develop.but its houston.thats why I finally became a 9ners fan in 08.hiring mike singletary.he gave them an identity,a direction,a philosophy that houston just doesnt want to have.they see the blue print to building a great team and wont take it.look at how bad the broncs got beat in the super bowl.that seattle team is nothing new.in the 1980s most treams were built that way.skins,bears,giants,philly.lots of chapionships there.

Keenum nor Manziel will be the starter under Bill O'Brien. Neither are the kind of QB he likes to work with.
