The house has to vote for you, every term on day 1 everyone votes for who they want to become Speaker, you can vote for yourself btw. It can also happen if everyone votes to remove the current speaker, then another vote will happen
Being a legislation branch member like a house member or senator won't affect your polls just by itself. You won't have a Your Issue tab. Instead you'll have a bill you must put out, you pick it from a GUI. For your polls, nothing changes until you vote on bills. Your polls will change every time you vote on a bill depending on what polls you voted for/against.

Thanks for watching! You can't do it yourself, you can try to recommend a person to the president but the president gets to choose. Usually he will choose who is next in line, the deputy secretary
Thats only true for the senate and the PPT (the speaker of the house but for the senate), The speaker of the house is free. You have to be voted on by others in the house for it
