This is excellent. My only complaint is that it should be longer. Presenter did more than a good job. She kept me interested.

Does anyone have info on the geology of the mountains along I87 between Suffern and Newburgh? I’ve always wondered if the jagged edges and cliffs were formed naturally, or as a result of blasting/excavation - or both. If excavated, I’ve wondered how much of the mountains were blasted, and was it’s purpose to manufacture materials, or just for construction of roads. Another example is Storm King Mountain: the eastern face of the mt facing the Hudson river is super jagged. Was that all blasted?

Hi, it's a good question about storm king I'll take some looks. Currently I have a job where I have free access to all of west point. It's hard to tell from where I go, but I can tell you that over 16,000 acres is military base so it's definitely been worked.

@@mineduck3050 thanks for the reply! It’s crazy to think how much this region has been “worked” over the course of a few hundred years.

Your knowledge of the subject matter is excellent. If I may make a suggestion for future presentations, don't slap your leg so much, it's very distracting.

@@nataliamazur8232 My comment was not meant to be a criticism. I’m sure she’s adult enough to accept an observation. We don’t need to be so sensitive about comments.

Fair enough. Maybe it's my own projection and sensitivity, because I'm similar in that I use my hands to speak a fair amount, as it helps focus my thoughts and circumvents speaking anxiety. I guess I was bothered because she's delivering useful information and probably doing her best to do it, and I empathize.
