Hi Bernard, hope you are well....thank you for giving me a mention and yes you are right I am old, but I did manage to get to the top of the Library (unlike some) when I was at the library last year I did manage to climb the stairs to the top and not where you filmed from on the lower floors! but it was great to see most of the work below that was going on almost finished. That building where the paint is peeling off they must have used the wrong paint like I did when I painted my metal gates and six months later the paint started peeling off! The wind did not sound too bad at all while you was filming, sometimes while filming at that height you wonder where all the noise comes from. If you decide to go up there again go to the top but as I said there are a few stairs to climb and make sure its a nice day when the sun is out. Enjoy your walk about on the first Saturday of the month live (what time?) and enjoy your time in London I bet you are looking forward to that.....Thank you so much for the update from our central Library and I do hope this is not on the list to close down by this awful council we have running the place now! Once again thank you for your time in putting this video on here.....
Thank you for your very kind words. I will always start my live broadcast at 6 pm. I did not realise you could go even higher but as you know it does take me a few years for the penny to drop.🤣😂
Thank you. I have no idea at the moment. I know James who does give us invaluable information. Also does not have any information for us at this particular moment in time on this waste ground, but always look out for his comments. They are very informative.
@@birminghamcloseup thanks Bernard I put the question on at the start of your video and you did say that you wasn’t sure further into the video so sorry for that, keep the videos coming 👍
@@kevinaston7104hi Kevin, there is a half moon shaped building been designed for that space to be let out as a prime head office space with roof top gardens etc… many people stated they would of liked an opera house or similar which would of been outstanding… Bernard you missed out on going to the very top of the library for the Shakespeare room and ‘secret garden’ that gives even better and further reaching views of Birmingham… 👍🏼👀
@jamesanthony3072 James, you must remember I’m an old man I can film that next time🤣😂😁 As usual thank you for your invaluable information, the cheque is in the post, but do not tell anyone.😂

one centenary way at 6:00 is deliberately being peeled and repainted not really sure why though but when they're done it will look really nice.
I think they should paint it pink,it would look beautiful.😃
