Yeah. My MIL never liked it when I talked about anything about my family. My FIL hardly ever saw any of his family after they were married. So my hubby's sister just thought it was normal to cut ties with one side of the family. We now have no contact with hubby's family. Way more peaceful.

I got the Liana just hates our family. Ugh

Then I got good people around me and they made me realise that I didn’t have to give anything to be enough. I really hope everyone get to have that realisation and those kinds of people around them. Now when I go all out for friends and family it’s appreciated, not expected and I receive gratitude for my efforts. It’s really made a huge difference in my life and I get to take care of myself too now. Hopefully the DIL in this story find those people too!

That argument the day of the wedding should have been taken as the warning shot across the bow that it was instead of just a simple red flag. Pretty sure there were a lot of warning signs (major ones) during the courting process that this woman chose to ignore in the name of love but chose to marry this loser and his blood sucking mother anyway.
