- Chatuchak Weekend Market, also known as JJ Market, is a bustling and labyrinth shopping haven in the heart of Bangkok. Spanning a vast 35-acre area, it’s one of the world’s largest weekend markets, offering an eclectic array of goods, from clothing and accessories to antiques, pets, and everything in between. 🛍️🌿🌟
In the early hours of June 11, 2024, a devastating fire broke out in the pet zone of Chatuchak Market.
Reports indicate that thousands of beloved pets perished in the flames. May the memories of these cherished pets bring comfort to their grieving owners.

Have you been to Chatuchak Market? What did you think about the place?
10:12...The pretty disgusting, those birds are way too big to be in that small cage. I had to turn it off...depressing.
@@bigtuna4409I agree with you. That cage was definitely too small. Thank you for making it that far in the video.
Great video as always Richard - just sickening the conditions of the market, and this is the 2nd time its caught fire, who would have guessed that that much water, and that many electric cables would be such a bad combo. I hope they never reopen this shit.
Thanks Bud
Thanks for the vid, Richard!
My pleasure. Thank you for watching 🙏
Im going soon back to Bangkok and im pretty sad that imma miss that part of the market now😢
The government said they will keep this section closed off for 90 days while they do an investigation.
A real tragedy. The first tragedy is the way greedy people stuff animals in cages for profit, the bigger tragedy that they were burned alive. Very sad.
Yes, I got all choked up writing up the ending message.
