As a surveyor for a local engineering company, I laid out the Olinger 4 unit. This is the first time I ever saw it in operation....Thanks for the video.
I wish everyone I talked to was as precise and accurate as this guy. Wow!! I'm guessing he was in the service at one point in his past!! Great video, and he explained everything well
I guess you have to not speak "Very Intelligent" to write that way because I find him hugely shouty, and very much the corporate guy. He has, like most Americans, a gift of super-confidence, but it's 5 minutes in with a minute to run and he's focused on ramp up time, not CO² emissions per MWh. It's a job, but it's not a job for a genius. You can guarantee he won't be AI replaceable, but What do those Homer guys in the control room actually do?
@@texasblaze1016 I didn’t take her comment as saying we should all worship him. I think the point is that men like this are the kind of role models that young black men in this country need. They can see him and think hey, maybe I can be an engineer too one day.
@@TrevorBrass maybe but in Canada emergency medical helicopters train to land in parking lots all the time. But you’re probably right, just an extra safety precaution that will hopefully never land a helicopter.
Great video on the generation of reliable electricity 24/7 regardless of the weather.

@@simonmasters3295 I'm 99.9% sure you "liked" your own rambling, nonsensical comment.
Do they give tours of the plant?
Wonderful of Man of Color
Yes all hail the black guy. He is better than any of us, all knowing black guy.

Turbans?
That is an OLD control room.
0:18 They got a heli pad?? LOL
Useful if - God forbid - someone is injured and needs to be evacuated quickly to a hospital?

That would be a turbine at the end of the gas generator, not a fan.
After the 2021 freeze, this video is nothing to be proud of.
