So who was the person walking towards the defeated/passed out Kazuya actually at the good ending? Was it Reina?
🔥
Reina's the New Main Antagonist for Tekken 9?! That's unexpected!
@@danielliew7960 it was Jun. Shoes match
The whole fight summary:
- WHY WON'T YOU DIE!?
- Power of Friendship, dad
True XD
Jin vs kazuya is the most anime yet epic fight in Tekken history
Jin previously was willing to die if it means ending the Mishima bloodline but now he wants to live after knowing there are people who are waiting for his return and if he dies, he would hurt those who care about him.
It gets stronger in response to physical trauma

@@daliso8o8 Still is, just not as much as ever.
Exactly, usually it's end with the son or the father thrown to volcano or ravine
In the theme of father and son- it's only right we get Baki and Yujiro as DLC
Jin using the Omen Stance Heihachi taught him from Tag 1 and then using Jun's stance right after... man that almost brought tears to my eyes
He has finally come to terms and accepted his Mishima heritage.
Ryu and Jin definitely need a death battle rematch
@@travtagonist3Devil Jin at very least now is continent to borderline planet buster seeing how he managed to burn almost the 1/3 of earth surface with his laser.
Meanwhile Evil Ryu doesn't seem to come close to it.
We need that Mishima+Tekken7+Kazama style Jin as a character playable outside of story mode!!! That was a masterful execution
@@romnomz I think that's what Angel Jin is.
Jin: We lost our Devil Gene
Kazuya: Fuck it, we ball.
Every other villain when they lose their powers: *Throws a tantrum*
That's my favorite part of Kazuya as a villain. He understands that all those fancy super powers are useless unless he himself is truly strong even without them.
Most villains lack that inner strength, so they feel defeated when they lose their powers. A truly strong villain should be able to get things done even when at their weakest
The Devil and Angel were just the intial dispute between a father and son. Now it's time to have a real man-to-man conversation... with fists.
@@OceanFragmentsFist -no-jutsu.
he's already unbeatable without the devil gene anyway, it's only a bonus for him
I'll admit it, out of all the ways I thought the fight between Jin and Kazuya would go, I didn't expect Jin becoming the Warrior of Light from FF1, fighting Satan Kazuya on a piece of volcanic rock floating in space Joseph Joestar style.
This all makes sense to the story tho atleast it's not out of no where
@@c_2519 I know, but you cannot say you expected this.
Why did you call Kazuya "Satan"? 😂😂😂😂😂😭😭😭😭😭😭😂😂😂😂😂

10:04 is also great. The music stopping when he summons the crystals and then continuing when he launches them is perfect.
So I counted, Kazuya had 11 AND A HALF FUCKING HEALTH BARS. Now that’s a fighting game final boss, god damn.
Lars did weaking him to much thanks to him and also azazel power is too weak against the devil
I was about to say "How many times do we have to teach you this lesson, old man?!?"
that just means more rounds means multiplied health bars, 2 rounds means 4 healthbars for characters
Can we appreciate how good the scoring is in chapter 15? Specifically when the t3 jin theme vibes on. Not only is it a great way to show that he's accapted himself, but the way the song builds up with the fight sequence and then finally playing T3 style Jin is just incredible!
The Golden Hawaiian Swordsman Dragon HIGHLY AGREES!!! THAT'S what's gonna help Tekken 8 win "Best Fighting Game of the Year Award"!!!
This a little reminds me of Metroid Dreed final boss Raven Beak...
@MechaGV you're totally right, and after that "Tekken 3 Jin's theme" there's also "Tekken 2 credits' theme" (in the end, when you finish the game). Can we all cry? ❤️

Bro Tekken 8 has some goofy moments in the story (yeah I know, it's Tekken) but this whole final fight between Jin and Kazuya had me grinning from ear to ear and my eyes full of tears of joy. The music, the callbacks (yeah I'm looking at you Tekken 3 moment) the fight choreography, everything is just perfection. Definitely one of my favourite fight scenes ever! 😍

The pose that Jin did at 18:50 is also his pose from PlayStation CD Boxart. How nostalgic...
20:47 is Jin's end of "fighting poses" all characters does in tekken 3
The close up shot of Kazuya clenching his fist was a throwback to the arcade intro of Tekken 1.
Every 90’s and 00’ kid dream was to someday have Angel Jin. From using the 2P variant of Devil Jin with white wings in Tekken 5 to finally getting Angel Jin officially in Tekken 8. We truly have come a long way
That's just proves that Kids who played Tekken 3 in the 90's had a happier future as adults!!

Nailed it, or Tekken has a predictable plot.
90's kids are still waiting for angel kazuya to return, nobody from the 90's gives a damn about Jin and harada's boner for him because we grew up with kazuya. He was the star of the OG Tekken movie and the main focus till Jin came around and harada projected himself on to Jin.
Ironic that Jin refusing to accept the Devil Gene as a part of him caused the world to fall into chaos, and accepting it leads to peace

No it's not, at all. Even in Tekken 3 Paul fought and beat a demon and he didn't even have the Devil Gene.
There are 2 things that i've noticed, that withstand both the unnatural forces of nature. That even the heavens or hell cannot break. The flames of anguish cannot burn it to dust. The heavenly spirit cannot cleanses it away. No, it's not the unwavering spirit of Jin nor the world dominating power of Kazuya.
It's both the pants these gentlemens are wearing. They survive everything
The designers should get a giant raise in their paychecks for that!!!

i waited for this comment xD
I have a theory. When Kazuya was pummeling Jin up against the rocks, he kinda heistated when he spoke before throwing that last punch, and his face looked like he was questioning his own philosophy.
I wonder if the devil gene being removed from him started to restore his humanity. It seems he's still alive in the ending. It would be absolutely insane if he and Jin teamed up to take down you know who!🤔🤔
Damn... that's actually a very good observation! Good eye!
Without the Devil gene, Jun can now give him the spanking he deserves
Apparently, even w/out the Devil Gene, Kazuya always like that because of Heihachi, & worst being lied by the old man on how his mom died. Somehow I’m starting to see Kazuya’s resemblance to MCU Killmonger, who also happens to have Vegeta vibes.
He still threw jin off a cliff

Fr
The fact that he didn’t even tried to kill him after he took away his devil form showed that he is not like Heiachi despite Jin wanting to murder him. I mean he even waited for him to hold hands with Xiaoyu instead of killing them all it was much stronger than all of them….put together he clearly hold himself back for his son he in fact just beat him and walked away instead of finishing him there. He has good in him even if he denies it
I bet he didn’t even kill those people at the start he just stunned them he doesn’t make pointless victims like the soldiers he saved preventing them to fight with Akuma, in the movie he spared Alisa (he destroyed her only after knowing that she was just a robot) he threw kuma back in the forest and despite continuing the animal experimentations he just didn’t kill even them.
His father broke him, killed his mother, discovered that his mom wanted him to die too, his devil form makes him aggressive just because the other half needs to avoid suffering more, his wife died which is the only thing he cared about, kept an ancient demon at bay, apparently freed his son from his pain even if his son never wanted to really communicate whit him, antagonizing him instantly.
In Tekken 4 he tried to steal Jin powers but even that would have been a good thing since Jin didn’t clearly want to be a devil. The only terrible thing he did was only in tekken 8 when he APPARENTLY killer people just to maintain power and avoid pointless wars in national conflict
Better a fist fight with 3 guys in a trournament than seeing whole countries being destroyed by human weakness.
Plus again, apparently he got even rid of Akuma being known as a dangerous killer oni.
Devil May Cry 5 and Tekken 8 showing the best family reconciliation, through pure brutal beating, love in violence is very beautiful •́ ‿ ,•̀

Absolutely perfect for Jin bringing back that style. Also I was not expecting him to combine all three of his styles into one at the end for the final round, it was cool as hell playing it. ANGEL JIN BETTER BE A DLC CHARACTER. OR AT LEAST COSMETIC FOR DEVIL JIN. ILL BE PISSED IF IT DONT HAPPEN
Nah he's just a playable story character . He cannot be obtained in Multiplayer . Same goes with True Devil Kazuya . I have not bought this game yet and considering Angel Jin's abilities , he is way too OP for the players . Just wait for the new version of Moveset extractor and mods to play as Angel Jin
@@ErenYeager-zf3td they could just make them only available in offline mode, just like Jinpachi in Tekken 5 DR
@@danaraprapanca1856 You mean Arcade mode ? Yeah definitely not happening since Tekken 6 and 7 where bosses are not playable and obtainable . Can be obtained via mods or cheats only . I can play as True Devil Jin , Ascended Heihachi and Asura Jin in Tekken 7 because of mods and Moveset extractor but only in offline cuz you can get kicked for using Moveset mods . I played as Azazel in Tekken 6 because the emulator version has a cheat to play as Azazel . Bosses were made to be played only in Story mode for the plot . Another reason why Angel Jin cannot be obtainable it's because he is a stance changer since he uses both Kazama , Kyokoushin and Mishima style and he has that regen health ability which makes it unfair for other players .

To me Kazuya Heihachi was more personal
kazuya vs heihachi had real weight to it t he entire franchise was building for that jin vs kazuya almost feels like we have beef because we have to....kazuya has no real reason to hate jin and vice versa to an extent honestly eddy gordo would have a more legit beef.

the entire journey brought us to this moment; TEKKEN 8 JIN AND KAZUYA
The recreation of the iconic punch between them are so nostalgic. I Love it
I noticed that Kazuya starts to show some doubts after both him and Jin loses the Devil Genes, he had a rather confused look when Jin parried his punches while using Jun's fighting style, like... almost remembering those moves when he met Jun in that fighting tournement all those years ago.
Been a fan of the tekken franchise eversince I've had my ps1 (2006 I was 6 years old) ...sad and happy to see the series come to an end Mr. Katsuhira Harada u brought great memories into my life...

The best fight ever. The fight between heihachi and kazuya was already like the best fight in gaming history and to surpass that.. wow bandai namco
Can’t nobody say Jin character arc in this years Tekken is trash or terrible he fully redeemed himself as a full fledged hero, he started WW3 in T5 and the devil even acknowledged what he did was wrong and doing so only brought chaos and despair with Jin. As of right now Jin can fully control his devil and use it at any given point, and I strongly believe his devil isn’t as evil or malevolent he wanted Jin to accept his true self.
its like hulk to banner.
Except Kazuya was always a better and more loved character than jin sp it's really annoying that the series jyat tries endlessly to shove Jin down our throats when we'd nuch rather see a return to exploring the duality in kazuya and seeing him reclaim the goodness that is supposed to still be in him

It is Jun at the end of
Honestly, the part that surprised me the most is that Jin thought that he didn't have the right to live all this time. I really had no idea how bad he was broken deep down. Guess explains a lot on why he kept getting lost when he went Devil.
Since Tekken 4 Jin has been on a suicidal mission to end the entire Mishima bloodline along within himself. So it would make sense that he would feel like he didn't have a right to live due to his families history long desire for power and conquest. In Tekken 6, he became the very two people hate, Heihachi and Kazuya. But he had to in order stop Azazel from destroying the world.
@@loneblade9447Most of the problem was what he did in 6.
Thats what weighed on him mostly.
@newhybrid101 True but he wanted the Mishima since the beginning T4. His actions in T6 just added to the heavy burden that Jin was carrying on his shoulders.
My only disappointment is the lack of Kazama style moves while in this new Angel Form. Missed opportunity.
The Purification/holy power is already a Kazama trait.

This represents more of the *The strength born from the wish to protect others and accepting oneself in the process is superior to the wish for pure strength alone"
Jins will is what made him overcome his father, he was losing in the final battle but the thought of losing his loved ones is what made him pull through. He got a second wind of energy because of it.
When you have responsibilities over others like most real fathers youll do anything for those your protecting breaking your own limits if you have to.
Kazuya doesnt understand that. He believes strength is strength but nothing will make him pull through like that responsibility.
Well said. Really reminds me of Dante's and Vergil's thematic conflict in Devil May Cry. ❤
Takes me back to Snake vs Ocelot at the end
My thoughts as well
When Jin switch his fighting style to the Tekken 3 move list then his old them came in I had to roll up a fresh blunt shit was getting to epic. That music alone sends me back to 98. I love this game.
They did justice with this fight, hands down the best they could do and more, went to all the extremes this honestly felt like finding the one piece
4:43 reminds me so much of DBZ Battle of Gods when Goku did the last stand, hell it's practically a splitting image of that moment and I just love it
It was cool to see Jin pull out all the stops, using everything he learned, different styles to show how much he grown, especially being driven by motivations that his father, Kazuya, never had. Jin had friends and allies while Kazuya only had enemies, knowing conflict and violence from what he suffered from his father, Heihachi.

@@LadyAselia same with me! I wanted to get Tekken 3 at the time but it was too expensive! I played Tekken 2 first and eventually got them all. Tekken 2 is still my favorite and has the best soundtrack in my opinion.
That odd moment when you remember that Tekken apparently shares the same universe as Street Fighter (which in itself shares itself with Darkstalkers and possibly Devil May Cry).😅
I love that they used Jin's theme from tekken 3 in that battle its amazing in the background.
Makes playing Tekken 8 THAT MUCH MORE FUN!!!
Despite the epic fight of angel vs devil here, Heihachi vs Kazuya feels more intense. Kazuya has this deep hatred for his father, for killing his mother and throwing him to his death as a kid, and Heihachi is one bitter old man who lost his wife and had to accept his kid was gonna be a threat to the world he set to kill his own child. The fight is so much more personal. The Jin vs Kazuya however, feels like generic good vs bad.
Yeah are all fights supposed to be hatred dick measuring? The point of this fight is Jin letting go of his hatred to the Mishimas and Devil. Jin discarded his Mishima moveset in T3 due to Heihachi's betrayal, now he reuses it by not denying himself.
What a fight! an absolute MASTERPIECE!
The Golden Hawaiian Swordsman Dragon HIGHLY AGREES!!!

15:24 really reminds me of goku a d frieza in T.O.P
I felt in the ending that when they were showing all the hope that Jin had gained throughout the series with his fist that they should've shown all the things Kazuya went through as well. It would've made for a more dramatic closing. Then with jin on the motorcycle made the ending really fall flat in my opinion.
Jin didn't throw Kazuya off that cliff?! Nooooooo!!! I wanted that running gag to continue!
Kazuya’s ending at least has the other way around. And more importantly, Jun wanted Jin to save himself and Kazuya, and throwing him off that cliff would essentially do the opposite.
@@slimballs9650So Kazuya was good deep down or what.
@@adrianuribe1057actually yes. When he was a kid. Everything changed after his mother dead
@@adrianuribe1057actually very much so. Then.... Heihachi
Heihachi is the strongest one that man fought a mad devil kazuya who was bloodlusted to kill heihachi.
