My favorite song of yours. I hit bottom with anxiety in 2003. I was on Prozac for three months and then decided to go the hard route and learn my way out of it. I’ve been learning ever since. I’ve figured my way out of anxiety and depression from about every angle, and I am still learning. I grew up in a family with a lot of anxiety and depression. Two of my siblings take pills, and one of them drinks. It’s all for the same purpose, but the pill is more socially accepted than the drinking. On the other hand, neither is really talked about. People hide anxiety and depression because they’re ashamed of it. I think one of the main things we need to do to come out of it, is to let go of our shame about it.
Another great song from such a tremendous singer-songwriter. I'm also so impressed with your backup guitar player and his harmonies. First saw him play with Brandy in her video Hold My Hand, wow. Thanks for the music Brandy
She is everything right now. This is the type of country music I grew up on. Artists like her and Kacey Musgrave give me hope for the future of country music. God I love this song and this album.
Such a powerful song! I wish this had made it on to radio and country music television with a video that included Messages and statistics through out the song!
My sister was a machinist, she developed lesions on her brain that were hard to diagnose why they appeared. Her Dr. started prescribing her pills. At one point she was taking up to 35 a day including one to keep her stomach contents together. She was on narcotics for pain & you name it. She was a zombie. I felt like I was watching her slowly die. I started going to the Dr. with her. I took notes & at times recorded the appointment. I dug in to her health care. It was obvious to me that he didn't know what had caused the lesions to appear or how to treat them. I witnessed him prescribing pills that she had already tried. I started researching a holistic approach. Eventually she started on CBD oil & dumped her Dr. Six years later, she still takes her CBD oil. She went back to school to study and completed a Medical Office Administration with Unit Clerk training course. She graduated with honors. The only pills she takes are a multivitamin and a low dose blood pressure pill. She is a great example of how a Dr. can get too carried away with prescription medication. Those lesions have disappeared too. Crazy. Got there in time before it was too late.
Oh , I just love this song! But I must confess I experience such severe anxiety from PTSD, I take 2-3 mgs of benzos, daily. But I own it, it doesn't own me.
its the mother thats all pilled out im 41 my oldest is 22 the youngest is 18 and they all know their grama is an addict and she makes her choice, we are never her choice ! I thought for 40 years that it was me ... now i let her know when she hurts me and lest me down by not showing up to celebrations .... but im the bad guy for calling her on not showing up ..
