After making his rounds overseas, Philly's favorite white boy is back in King of the Dot. Battling in Don't Flop with an impressive showing against crowd favorite Blizzard, Rone came away with the W and added yet another body to his ever growing war path. With recent victories over Okwerdz and Protege and a hotly contested battle against Nils M/ Skils, Rone has more than proven himself a threat and is now content to take high profile matches against fellow top tier opponents. Known largely for his quick wit and effortless flow, hard hitting punchlines and screw-face inducing bars have recently begun to work their way into his repertoire. Seen most frequently as of late in King of the Dot, Rone was invited to take part in the always classic Vengeance 2 event against arguably his toughest opponent yet in Fresco.
Without a doubt one of the most popular battlers to ever step into the ring, Fresco does not at first glance appear to be a typical battle rapper. Certainly one of the most successful battlers of the written era, many people were caught off guard by the Rockford, IL emcee. Having no involvement with the scene prior to 2008, Fresco was not on many people's radars. Coming out of the gates hot, Fresco took down Moodswangz to begin his career. Since then, his resume has grown to include names such as Kid Twist, Soul Khan and Real Deal, among other classic showings against a variety of opponents. With a unique personality and an even more unique flow, Fresco's originality is one of his biggest assets, always approaching opponents from unexpected angles and with devastating schemes. Making his first 1 vs. 1 appearance in King of the Dot, Fresco brought his A game against Rone, making this one of the best battles of the night.

Dusty Farmer yeah I was really wondering why the crowd was so subdued, with the exception of the hosts on stage, even some people like some behind fresco seemed like they were on a shitload of Xanax and not reacting to much. Maybe it was the way the crowd was mic'd. Enjoyed the battle though. I like fresco and his style but, I think Rone took this one by a slim margin.
This was one of the weaker battles by these two, as well.

yeah, crowds like this is why some rappers end up reiterating and explaining their bars and it comes off corny sounding when they do but apparently it's necessary or they won't get it

look at rones face during frescos third. it struck a nerve and touched him. that's the ultimate goal in a battle to humiliate your opponent and rone was catching feelings off that third round.
Fresco looks borderline psychotic right before his third, he knows what he's about to do. I've watched this battle so many times, it's just a filthy match.

This was good but definitely need a rematch. Possible a title match. Depending what Fresco does next event, hurt his stock a little not battling on Blackout but if the opponent wasn't right like he said, I understand for sure and I respect not to just the check for the hell of it

As a Rone and Fresco fan I have to say Fresco took this even without the 3rd round. I'm more into bars than personals so I didn't think Fresco's third round was impressive but he had better bars overall. I would love to see them battle now. I was disappointed by Rone's KOTD title match but he usually comes prepared. I think Fresco would take him based on his last three battles but it would be close if Rone didn't come with the same BS he had against Illmac.
This is one of my fav battles but I always thought it was ruined by rones choke in the third. Now looking back it really wasn't that bad and he got right back on it. Classic
Fresco is awesome to watch, while rone is rapping and clowning on him you can see fresco smiling and admiring the word play. So comfortable he doesn't feel like he has to act hard, he just enjoys the battle.
I've been watching Rone a lot, and I like fresco now too. think we all agree that fresco took the last round pretty solid though.

Right. I agree that cardigan/card again and windsor knot/wins or not are both good....but they have nothing to do with one another. A cardigan is basically a button up sweater and a windsor knot is a type of not for a tie. At least Pat Stay connected the "wins or not" wordplay to an actual tie.
