I am just writing to say "thank you" for doing this video. It was very motivational. I do have like a mental block when dealing with pesticides, I don't want to use them. I am already on my second week of treatment and all the plants are showing new leaves.
I’ve been doing the sulfur spray for 4weeks and I have so much new growth on my Hoyas including a Chelsea that I had for over a year and now has 3 new leaves
I’m same as you when it comes to anything new. Very bad anxiety over it until I do it. Then I wonder why I was so worried about it. Thanks so much for talking about the sulfur treatments. I had never heard of it.
thanks for letting me know, Karen! I hate how many things I've stopped myself from trying because of this anxiety. The sulphur treatment is going well! i see lots of new growth since the treatment!
Hi Amy. I really love your videos. You have such a nice, soothing, relaxing voice. Your hoya collection is absolutely stunning! I've had the package with the sulfur powder sitting unopened for at least a few weeks now thinking it's going to be such a big thing to have to do. I am now going to have to use it after trying the hot water bath method and killing my hoya kerrii. Thankfully I managed to take some cuttings before the mother plant completely croaked! Looking forward to more of your content. Have a great day!
Thank you Amy for talking about Flat mites treatment. Do you know if the damage on the leaves would return to normal? I already have a few of my Hoyas died because of the flat mites 😭😭😭. Still quarantined a few
The passiflora trifasciata is really thirsty. The only way I found to deal with it is by putting it a self watering pot. Even then I had to keep watch and make sure the pot had water because the plant drinks it up so fast. Now that it’s getting cooler, I’ve cut it back and propagating some pieces.
amazing collection!!! do you know if bonide systemic granules work for flat mites? i'm curious if that would be an easier option than the sulphur spray (although i live in the US and i'm pretty sure systemics arent allowed in canada)
Hi Amy,, thank you for the video. May I ask if you have a vent in your tank. I had a vent and it seems to be vacuuming out all humidity so I have removed it. I’m wondering if it’s needed
Problem with Rebecca identification is because it's got a lacunosa parent. There definitely will always have similarities. Same goes with sunrise. My Rebecca looks pretty much like yours except the sunstress
Hi Amy!!! I have heard of using sulfur works too. I'm glad it did to you. Do you eventually wash off the residue that it leaves on the plants? You have a lot of plants now. They are all very beautiful 😻
thank you Lucy! i won't wash off until the 8 week treatment regiment is over! but i think i may continue to do preventative treatment after that as well.

sulfer isn't a pesticide, it's a natural element
Been seeing lots of folks using the sulfur spray. Good to know that it’s easy to deal with! Thanks for sharing 😊
Absolutely stunning collection and so impressive 🪴💚🙌

i am totally seeing lots of new growth now, too!
Your grow tent, is it in your house? Or outside? It's amazing by the way!
So nice to see all the new growth!!!! The joepii is super adorable!!!!!

thank you so much! I hope it went well for you. I tried the hot bath to kill root mealies before and it did kill some of my hoyas, too!
Wow u got to fit a lot in the grow tent❤
I have to say the sulfur spray really works. Many of my Hoya started to grow a week after the spray.
Mine are now, too! pretty amazing.

I don't think the cosmetic damage would reverse :(
Thanks for sharing 🪴

thank you so much for the tips!

No the Bonide systemic granules and Captain jack dead bug brew will not work for these pests.
@@sltal53 ahh shoot!! okay thank you! :)
No they don’t sadly :(
I heard they make them worse
What is growing tent is it outside your house?
My rebeCca is sunstressed just like yours :) it’s deff a Rebecca
Hi. How often should the Hoya get sulfur?
Hi Amy,, thank you for the video. May I ask if you have a vent in your tank. I had a vent and it seems to be vacuuming out all humidity so I have removed it. I’m wondering if it’s needed
hi dear, I don't have a vent in mine and my plants don't seem to mind it!
Do you rinse the sulfur off or leave it to the next spray after a week?
I just leave mine on. I am planning to rinse them after 4 -6 weeks.
Leave it off and reapply each time see you it disappearing or new growth - up with 8-12 weeks minimum

Can I use the Sulfur on any plants?
💕💕💕💕
Definitely a Hoya Rebecca

That's definitely a Rebecca
I'm not scared, I'm just procrastinating...
