Some of the privilege of not working on the sabbath. Most of the time, it's not hands-on providers. Jesus would not want elderly people and the sick to not be cared for for 24 hours. Thus would mean that they would not be fed, taken to the bathroom, moved, or given other care. If you were in their place, would you want that to happen to you? I pray that it never happened to you. ❤
So we can ask others to swap out with us so we are off on Sabbath and they are working? They can sin so we can go to church? how do we evangelize our co-workers and tell them about the Sabbath after this? I am a Nurse and I am in the Military. If asked to work in the ER on Sabbath because they are short staff I go. I find that usually I leave bless even more than if I was in church.
What would Jesus do? He relieved suffering. He is a loving, caring God. If we read Matthew, Mark Luke, and John, we see the loving Jesus. Please don't look to man. Read about Jesus and grow your relationship with Him.
Your answer seems a bit double standard .the text say neither your man servant so if your switch it up you are encouraging someone else to miss out on the Sabbath blessing according to you. The better answer should be to be on call for the doctor and for the nurse ...make sure your schedule isn't every Sabbath
As a nurse, would you want me to leave you laying in bed, unable to care for yourself, and go to church, or would you want compassionate care even on the sabbath? In nursing homes, lots of residents are unable to move and turn themselves or even feed themselves. If this was you or your relatives, again, should the staff leave and go to church and come back Sunday? The God i serve was accused of being a sabbath braker. He healed on the sabbath. He says, "Follow me." It was the rigid church members at his time that condemned the Savior.
It will take 1000 years, to verily grasp, what happened before and after we were created. During that time many things will be answered, but understanding God will be literally impossible.
I'm not sure if a nurse/ doctor swapping shifts with a co worker, so as not to work on the Sabbath is correct. Are we teaching them to work while we worship? Do we not want our coworkers to know about and honour the Lord's Sabbath too?

Anyone involved in essential services need not feel guilty about working on the Sabbath, e.g. the power engineers who keep our electricity supply going. Or police officers or doctors/nurses. As it relates to diet, the term "plant-based" diet is often misused to mean a vegetarian or vegan diet. "Plant-based" diet means mostly plant material but it also includes a small percentage (15 % or less) of animal products, e.g. beef, mutton, fish, etc. And even the term "vegetarian" is sometimes confused with vegan: (ovo-lacto) vegetarian uses plants plus egg and milk (not actual body parts of animals) while "vegan" means strictly plant products. The best, of course, is the vegan diet.
What if im driving to church on the Sabbath and i have an accident and my car is blocking traffic and it can only be removed by a tow truck is it wrong for the tow truck driver to work on the sabbath . Is it wrong for me to depend on none Sabbath keepers to do what i cant do on the Sabbath. Isnt that being hypocritical.
I pray that Lord willing that you not have an accident. Please look to Jesus. What does He tell us in the Bible, I His own words? The story about an animal that fell in a hole? What does Jesus say about the care of others? Please don't take my word for anything. Please read for yourself. 🙏
@@melodybaker2337 That does not answer my question. as Sabbath keepers are we depending on non Sabbath keepers to do the things which need to be done , what about maintenance workers who have to keep the utilities going or the train drivers who need to get these people to work if they don't have cars. We go to church turn on the power we flush the toilet , iam a Sabbath keeper and I dont think it is that simple these days to keep the Sabbath as it was in the time of JESUS. We expect things to be done by non Sabbath keepers without any thought , yes I agree if the work can be done on another day it should be .
It is right to "do good" and relieve suffering and bad situations on the Sabbath. The Bible doesn't say, however, that it is ok to earn a living on the Sabbath. When medical professionals collect paycheck for "doing good" on the Sabbath, isn't that working? Of course you can help your neighbor get out of a tough spot on the Sabbath and do other things that are ordinarily prohibited on the Sabbath! But once you collect wages, that changes everything.
Speaking of the age of the Earth, to this day, no technology can determine whether Earth is millions or billions of years old. Similarly, no technology can determine that animals or humans are that old either.
Scientist tell us that dinosaurs went extinct 260 million years ago. But is you were to go to Glen Rose, TX you can see a stone cut out of the mud with dino tracks and man foot prints from the same mud! Let that sink in for awhile.
