    Great info vlog....I knew when you started doing these types of vlogs, the other vloggers would follow suit. There is not enough of these "boots on the ground" types of vlogs showing what the actual housing is like and the cost....thanks again for doings these...AWESOME

    Nice big place. A trip to the store for the essentials and finding the right caretaker and maid would be needed. it would be a nice home for someone who wanted to stay long term.

    I like the idea of riding your motorbike from the main road, gives us an idea of how far it is and probably better to walk home if one has had a few beers late at night :). The house itself looks good and can be made comfortable with the right furnishings and the fruit trees are an added bonus along with that small dwelling in the back, like you said one could hire a caretaker / cleaner who can live onsite. I was guessing (wishful thinking ?) it would be 25k/month but 35K still isn't bad and maybe owner would accept around 30, maybe :) and wouldn't hurt to ask. Thanks for the video Kevin and picture quality is excellent !.

    😢i like the house and the location, it would be ideal for me but I am not over there yet the close ness of the neighbour could act as a form of security, don't like that kind of window and i think that i would would find it hard to get a signal from a starlink dish, but as i say i am not there yet, its nice to see that you are doing this vlog again, cos i read that a vlogger was saying that he was doing it as well all the very best to you and your girlfriend, cant remember how to spell her name.

    Bars on the windows are a safety hazard!
    Ideally, bars would be on hinges, secured from inside, so the occupants don’t suffocate, or burn to death in case of fire!
    35,000 is 10,000 too much, IMHO!

    It looks like a good place for 3 to split, $300 a month each for the space is good. Hire a love in groundskeeper for cheap and they get a share of the crops as a bonus. The kitchen/dining area is aMAzing. For some reason I can't add this video to my playlist; I file these for research and sharing.

    Out of curiosity are the renters supposed to cut that grass and supply the television(s) as well? Also why would someone renting want to supply a water heater when I would think the landlord who clearly hasn't done much here would do so (after all it's not that expensive). ... they say the only thing included is cable however this is something one can't use anyway because it doesn't have the first television.
    So for move-in cost around $1,300 USD (2 month deposit) I would think they could at least cut the grass and put a water heater in the 2nd bathroom. Cold showers suck regardless of the geography of the home.
    This is definitely NOT a place somebody visiting the Philippines would want to rent for a month or two with very little furniture and absolutely no entertainment besides roosters constantly making noise. ... The house itself is a good size I guess it drastically lacks amenities and I'm certain one could do much better for $1300 move-in cost elsewhere.
    Besides that "guest house" looks more like a jail cell and don't even get me started on that bathroom. 👎

    It's not really bad, but I think it's a bit over priced! I don't like bathrooms where the shower is not separated from the toilet and lavabo. Take a shower and the whole damn room is wet. For that price I expect better bathrooms, but all in all it's a reasonable house for an unreasonable price.

    It's not worth the money asked at all. I know Valencia is popular, but 15 000 Pesos a month "as is" and maximum 25 000 Pesos fully furnitured is what I would pay as a maximum. Coz there's too many trade offs, like Roosters wake you up 4am and keeps on until late evening. The access road is no good, and you don't know how noisy the neighbors are either.

    • @zeckul
      @zeckul Рік тому +1

      That's the issue with these UA-cam channels doing apartment visits, the owners know that the audience is foreigners and the price is adjusted in consequence. This is not a price Filipinos would pay for this place.

      @TooMuchTimeonmyHands65 Рік тому +1

      Thanks for watching!!! You have to remember 2 things….EVERYTHING is negotiable!!!!! AND Dumaguete has more foreigners PER CAPITA than most, if not all Philippine cities. Yeah, prices in Duma have definitely gone up! Better to explore on your own then use a realtor. Real Estate can be sold at large so often the realtors tack on extra. Not sure how they get compensated for rentals. If looking for an Apt. close in, I recommend Baskara Apt. on Amigo Street behind Nevas, No close roosters. The Chia Restaurant is owned by relatives of the Apt. owners and where to check. 2/1 Apts, there are 8 units. Lived there 2 years and loved it!
