Come along to Bicton three day event where Dee and I compete in the BE90 for a last attempt at qualifying for the Voltaire Designs Badminton Grassroots. The weekend certainly didn't go to plan, but we did still have a fabulous time. Hope you enjoy!

Poor Dee Dee, she tried so hard to keep it together in the Dressage, so glad you had Hobbit and Han to look after you. Dee is such a jumping machine and dead on time in cross country was amazing. Nice show jumping x

I’m so sorry Dee Dee got stung before dressage, it’s just one if those things unfortunately. I just want to say that Han is such an angel, asking constantly if you’re okay and doing a fab job at looking after both you and Dee. I need a supportive friend like her ❤️

Gotta say, having a horse who loves to leave her left hind in the back pasture, that square halt was everything. I know you weren't happy with dressage but there were good bits, too!

Bad luck happens to everyone. But look at how fit your mare was, and how hard she tried for you. You put the prep work in, and it will pay off.

Shoutout to Zara Head, one of my closest friends, who actually won!! She was the youngest competitor there at the age of 12 and still managed to win. Well done Meghan you did amazing!

Aw bless just watching on the TV and she tried so hard in the dressage but that sting must have really got to her. You rode through it so well. We all know the test Dee can do when the cast of bugs life isn’t out to get her!
Lovely to see how keen she was to get out the XC start box and that you pulled off a fantastic clear! Super well ridden around the SJ. Must have been a bitter sweet feeling at the end. Thankyou for all the effort you put in to sharing your events with us it’s lovely to watch just makes me excited to hopefully be back out next season 😁

Dee looked so happy and excited to be eventing. She really pulled for the jumps from what I could tell, you both did amazing as a team! So happy for you! Hopefully Hobbs and Han will reconsider for you to be able to go back to Bicton. You seemed to really enjoy your time there.

SO COOL to watch you complete an old-style three-day event format-a different experience than a horse trial for sure! That steeplechase phase really gets even a Connemara’s blood up! You had her so fit and ready, congrats! And you persevered through a wasp sting and lame foot. You are truly champs!

Great vlog! Highs and lows indeed. Dee being stung like that was just horrendous luck; so sorry. But you really aced the jumping phases. She looked awesome and happy and that was some gorgeous riding!

It's so frustrating when these things happen isn't it? Hopefully one day we'll get her qualified for Badminton Grassroots, she definitely deserves to go :-) xx

The thing I learnt from this video is to have self contained accommodation when I go eventing. My plan is a two horse truck and tow a caravan. That way I can leave the caravan at home when I don't need it.

The dressage may of when a bit sideways because of DeDe poor girl got stung but she still tried her best but I think you both did great and another schooling session and you both live to fight for another show and as they say and as usual you all had me in stitches laughing hope your ankle is better and thank you all for taking us along and big thank you and hugs for DeDe for being a brave and honest girl and she was definitely excited for xcountry as we all witnessed at the start box so she is definitely in tip top condition for competing

Clearly, I'm a week late to this vlog ut I just have to say - Dee is such a beautiful, beautiful pony and has such a presence even through the screen. Glad you had fun at the end after that wobbly start. I always thought evolution could have swapped insects for tiny flying mice or something. ;)
