I am wondering if you had to do anything else to get the factory backup camera to work I have hooked all the right connections together but when I put the truck in reverse it does not come on. if I push the camera button on the screen it works but not when I switch it into reverse. any help would be great. aslo did your radio change odometer to kilometers from miles? if so how did you fix that? and then mine says it only has android version 3.0 how do you get 6.0? thank you and sorry for all he questions
Brad Whitehead we didn’t do anything different for the install or use anything other than what came with the screen. For your other questions I am not sure. There may be some settings that you are able to change or try hooking up your phone to hotspot the radio so that you can update it to the newest version
If you turn the vehicle off with the heat/ac going, does it reset and turn off or does it save where you had the climate controls before you shut down the vehicle?
Hey there! My name is Jay and I reviewed this radio as well. I got almost everything to work well except the 2 buttons on the steering wheel. The "uconnect" and the "phone" buttons wont work.
That's ok, but just notice a wire that you forgot to hook up. At 3:45 you mentioned that the yellow wire and grey wire were not going to be used, but in fact the gray wire is for your USB Hub inside the middle console. There is a harness that came with your radio that plugs in with the gray wire and then you plug it to the radio(match the shape). Then your usb hub will work, also you can use it to do system updates, transfer files etc.
Just curious did you have any issues with any of the controls working I just ordered one of these units and can't seem to get the climate control to work the plug doesn't even want to plug in
Thanks so much for your quick video. Can you comment on Bluetooth phone calls WHILE driving? Did it retain the factory mic? Or did it use an after market mic?

Thank you for the response , I understand your reasons and its understandable , although As a viewer I was not aware of why the end did not show the final product and a few functions. So to me it seemed like watching a good movie at home to then have the cable cut out at he end.. I do appreciate what you did share thank you.

Did you have to purchase additional parts to have the back up camera or did your truck already have it. Does the knew head unit come with the back up camera ? I am looking at ordering the system for my 2013 Ram It has the same factory unit yours does but no back up camera. where did you buy yours ? and what did it cost you. Im looking at one for 399.00 for my 20 thirteen from china and it says delivery to austin tx april 6
No additional parts were needed for the install and the truck already had a backup camera so I am not sure about other ones. I commented the site that I got it from already on this video. Sorry can’t think of it off the top of my head (I think it is the link) and I do not remember how much it was

Austen Hobbs yeah it works really well for me. I enjoy it a lot better than the factory one that was in it before. The only thing I lost was my satellite radio but I can just use my phone for that now so not too big of a deal.
If at at possible I would really appreciate a video running through the radio and functions I'm stuck between this or the factory 8.4 I worry about quality the size isn't that important I'm wanting to add a front camera. Does your truck have a backup camera? If so how's the quality?

Philip Bush to my knowledge you could but I am not sure how. Best bet would be to look up another video on how to do that.

Jon Piquette I believe it uses a mic that is in the unit and not the factory mic sadly. Call quality is still pretty good but not as good as stock.

I have a video about this in my channel but for a 2017. My backup camera is the back bed door handle(factory looking) but not sure about the 2013's!
