I’m going to attempt this today. I will definitely make a sample on scrap fabric coz I’m bound to make a mistake 🤣🤣🤣 xx
I like that blouse, Nice skirt, Perfect to wear on a windy day.
This will help a lot for my Jedi Temple Guard cosplay I'm working on 💜
Cool skirt! Looks like a fun project.
Thank you!!!

Attempting this for my Halloween costume!
A cow. (ha ha ha) But it's a cool cow from the Disney movie Home on the Range!
I've made wrap skirts before, then my Aunt who had been sewing for many, many years showed me a trick that changed the look and fit completely. The front of the wrap where it is joined to the waistband, the open ends, you curve the waistline down half to three-quarters inch it made the bottom of the skirt curve in just a little and made such a difference with the fit and look.
Could you explain this a little bit better, please? I'm trying to work out how you mean it but I can't quite follow. I'm looking to improve the way my skirts fit and flow. Thank you!
I am guessing it is like on a pair of pants that the front waistline is lower than the back side. I know I am replying to an old post. :)
Cool skirt! I really love the idea and style but I wanted to if this can be worn as a dress, like a 100 ways to wear dress
Hi! Great idea! I'm going to test that out and see what I can come up with! Thanks for watching!
love this, it looks SO good and EASY, thanks!
I went to vintage shops bought a lot of stuff in different colores: green, yellow, pink, some blue print with flowers. Some I mixed with two colores, one part one color, and the rest with flower print, have also made different color with the waist linnen, depended how much stuff I had or did not have. I have knitted many Ganni "look a like" sweaters in different colors, they will look good to them.
waw
If I didn't want it to round/taper off, but rather be more straight, how would I go about making that happen?
Great tutorial but how much fabric should I start with?
Hi! Thank you!!! I believe I used between 1.5-2 yards of fabric! I believe I used 1.5 because this fabric was more expensive but I would recommend using 2 yards! Hope that helps!
Using scrap fabric is just good old fashioned being thrifty
@@DuckInYellow me too normally I'll save all my scraps n make dog toys or doll clothes for my niece
Its come out great.... bt what I dont understand is how much material was used to make the skirt.. bcos when u make video that shuld b mentioned b4 u make the video as ppl watching it may not know!
Thank you for the comment! I will make sure to add the fabric dimensions! I used about 2 yards of fabric. Let me know if you have any other questions!
DuckInYellow thank u sooo much for reply🤗🤗🤗.... i had a question... cld u tell me how much to mark from the sides??? Im little confused on how much to take from the sides (top nd middle nd bottom meausurement)😊
Hi! My skirt dimensions were based on the amount of material that I had. (I actually had to cut a little bit off the top because there was not enough material). If you are unsure, I would recommend making the pattern first out on newspaper or wrapping paper and adusting the fit from there! Hope that helps!
DuckInYellow lolz...i actually was laying out the newspaper to do 😄thanks a ton!!! Do u still make diy videos?? This is great u shuld keep making thm
Thank you so much! That means alot to hear!!!! I am still making DIY videos! I'm working on making about 1 a week! If you have any suggestions, let me know! I would love to try to make it!
