Awesome movie, Oscar winning performance by Forrest Whittaker, I could not stop crying, people please be kind to one another, go watch this beautiful movie, peace
As I watched this movie a strange feeling of ambiguity ceased me. On one hand I felt the enormous impact that this wonderful man brought to the silver screen, his life story, his pain and triumph all seemed to glamorize me. But yet in still there was this anger that I felt most intently as I watched the protagonist life unfold.
I wonder why Lee Daniels didn't show the real Butler towards the end of the film usually if it's a true story directors show the real person towards the end
I was there too at the inauguration walking behind Anderson as he was heading to the news room..not knowing a legendary icon "Eugene Allen" was there in the midst
The inauguration of President Obama and the 2008 victory speech (the 'Yes We Can' Speech). those are the moments in history where everyone remembers exactly where they were and what they were doing.
So he would have been there when Lillian Rogers Parks was there. She wrote "Backstairs At The White House"; which included she and her mother's 30 years working in the White House. I saw the film but would love to read the book, too.
For sum reason i kept seing alien instead of allen,,lol tripd me me out,,then i kould see it said allen dammm 8 presidents..never seen or tought about a black buttler in the whit house..lol dammmm ittţgreat story none the less my respektss to hes luv ones.
A goof story to tell or create a book on it. It will be a good movie also to watch. 11 President wow thats a good servant he is. The whiteHouse should honor this people who serve them for so long.
I like how people show there real colors online and be all racist but in real life they would say half the shit they say so that's why there opinion is illogical
Mr. Haywood is a Journalist at the Washington Post? And yet in this video clip he is heard saying "[Mr. Allen] realized the importance of what he had went through". Really? Maybe it's a "nit", but ... "he had WENT through"? Really? If Mr. Allen's story is worthy, it's at least worthy of good grammar from a Washington Post Journalist.
I hope Hanna can be saved quickly before any more harm can happen to you. I wish I could understand why the father and mother could not stay together before this happen. If my father or mother got a new job they would take the kids and live under one roof.

What a beautiful story. Anderson looked as if he was fighting back tears..he really has a big heart.
Wow. What an experience that man must have had. Amazing.
What an honor to be able to sit and talk with him! I would love to meet him.
I wonder why Lee Daniels didn't show the real Butler towards the end of the film usually if it's a true story directors show the real person towards the end

Backstairs at the White House (on you tube) tells a similar true story from Taft through Eisenhower.
A moment that lives in my head.....😘
A man i must salute ❤
wait so it was real
They're making a movie about him.Just saw the trailer
merci
I can just imagine all the racial comments omfg hahahhaa
did Allen ever go back to search for his mother?
As it turns out, he was never told he was free...
..you know Reagan treated him like the slave he was...
Who the Son (Jesus)set free is free indeed for it is written God knows who you are.
More precisely, he worked in The White House, for The White House, through the presidency of 8 presidents, not exactly working for the 8 presidents.
that negaa wife was on him lol
the next documentary will be ''the first black cat in the white house''
