Great information. I was told to practice, practice and practice again with telemetry, and it paid off the 1st time I had to use it in anger. My Redtailed Hawk took off after a rabbit in woodland, I saw him give chase and latch onto it in the leaf litter, then nothing. I ran down to where I saw him last. I searched around for a bit and finally got the receiver out. The signal was strongest on the ground. I pushed the leaves aside to see the tips of his wings poking up out of the rabbit hole. It took me a while to get him out as he was still latched onto the rabbit. Without telemetry I would never have got him back and he would've probably died there. Really enjoying your channel. Thanks.

Thanks for sharing, the horizontal vertical was an interesting tip well explained, also the false mirrored opposite direction signal. I shall keep these tips for my next search.
I have a Luksander which I prefer to my tinyloc, but the tinyloc is as you know smaller and has done its job several times , although a little slower I find on accuracy , great for woods and brambles.
I would like a smaller aerial for the Luksander.
Brilliant video thanks for sharing that priceless knowledge, it’s gone in to my falconry bag.

This is by far the best video demonstrating the telemetry system I could find. Thanks for sharing.

First time I used my Luksander "in anger" it pin pointed her to within two metres. Took two readings at 90° absolutely certain but..... no hawk.
I devastated that thicket, thinking she'd taken another rabbit and was hiding. Then I say the feather flutter down, looked up and saw two beady eyes boring in on me. She'd caught a pidgeon and had been tucking in to it, 10' above me for two hours! That's when I started using a bell.
When you've pinpointed your bird in two dimensions, remember they often play about in the third!
