So this is a great video but I would argue the 2* and below in terms of those we can synth right now are just not worth it. I have a 2* maxed out at lvl 10 and MATK %2.0, even if the 2.0% vs a flat 22 MATK, not percentage 5* at level 6 is better as each 1000, that 2.0% is only netting you 20 more MATK. I would say perfentages are important but dont easte time with trying to get then with the 2*, even several good percentages are going to be lower potency and think how many times you may cast/attack that spell/skill in a battle. The end game is get %up on the right stats but wasting time leveling 2* or 1* materia is a waste, even with good %, it should be used as fodder to upgrade your 3* materia. When you start getting into the 3% and above on 3* and above that is when % makes a difference.
Thank you so much! This is invaluable insight. I am going to pin this comment in the hopes that future viewers will check this out. If you want to optimize your materia throughout the whole game (both early and late game), this is definitely the way to do it. cheers @kaspauf06
@@ShazeGamingx thank you for the kind words! It is a great video and you explain it so well but the only thing I thought was how much really is 2% worth on a 2* vs flat stats at higher levels and even if it is slightly lower number on the 5* vs 2* that has % up on the appropriate stat, the base damage and the number of times you use that materia in a battle way far outweigh it. Ideally, we get 5* with % up on the corresponding stats but even 3* that are not % base to me feels like a better building block as 2* are great upgrade fodder 🙂
The Rarity of Materia does of course matter. The rarity affects the actual *potency of the spell itself*, and it also affects your initial sub stats* and *sub stat increases. Higher level materia will give bigger initial sub stat percentages and bigger sub stat increases upon upgrading. I didn't touch on it much because with so much RNG already involved and the game being in it's early stages it is not something we need to worry about too much *for now* but it will become relevant in the future.
You can adquire a copy of each, 2 stars. But you cannot adquire the recipes yet. Debrave requires to clear a non-released dungeon, and Defaith doesn’t even have an adquisition method listed.
Heya, nope, it's currently not possible. You can get some -aga spells from C Abilities like Red's Noble Collar (Waterga) or Lucia's Pulse Gun (Aeroga) for example but we are still waiting on materia to do that.
Good to know so I won't waste precious mats attempting! Thanks for both the quick response and the in depth guide, I just started the game two days ago and your content is very helpful!@@ShazeGamingx

Heya, I do not have bio yet. It is currently unobtainable. Turning recipe's off shows all the materia currently in the game, even those we can't get yet. It will probably become available in a future story mission or crisis dungeon
Heya,@@Dragonisable, my guess is that you might not be on the right tab in materia synthesis. If you look at the top of the synthesis box, you can switch specifically to X, Triangle, or O tabs and you will get the options to synth both magical and physical Ruin's. Hope that helps.

Idk why but my comment deleted. Find me. Ticks619
i discover how this works by my self and now i find your video... best video on materia good job
He left out the skill damage being higher on materia which is very misleading ro new players. This guide applies for Stat sticks.

When was this video made? Coz debrave and defaith recipes can be acquired since last week update from the new added dungeons.

@KonaikoTsukiyomi yeah, was thinking of the breach materias.
Heya, yea I did mention somewhere that they can be acquired and players should lock them since we only have one of each at the moment.
Is it possible to craft -aga materia yet?
