    Hi
This car came to me as a non runner after the engine and all the modules being swapped from a do not car...
The modules also came from a car with different options, which I had to get them coded correctly...
Follow me on this video to find out what was the problem and how to resolve it.
    Hope you enjoy the video.
Any questions or comments put them below.
Like always, thank you for watching!

Looks like this corsa has been messed with a fair bit, so the original issue I'd not like to guess! I've had loads and loads of Corsa C and D brought to me with the immo light on and not running. Resetting and Re-applying the security code to all the core modules including the bcm, cluster, engine, airbag module seems to make them run again. I think when someone tries to start them with a flat battery something gets messed up between the BCM and the Engine ECU. First one I did back in 2008 took me a while to figure out, but since then done loads and loads, maybe on average 1 a month. Anyway good work as always, I like your attitude and approach! Every day is a school day.

Great video as always Luis. You mentioned that everything except the door lock was changed. If so, how lazy is that! It would not have taken much time to retrieve the lock, so the key could work in emergencies. Hopefully the have at least removed it. Add that the transponder pin was bent due to clumsy handling. You are a perfectionist.

17:03 we speak here about different engine codes, 2004 chassis number never had Z10XE, you tried to enter Z10XEP, tech2win is so smart to not let you in.
Beginning: on this car, ecu speaks with mdi with immo as in between module, as you found out.
V-BUS is the HS-CAN, BCM is telling you, hey, I see more modules on the bus then I am programmed to see. The only variable for you there is with or without ABS.
From 2004 on, ABS is on CAN on this car. BCM is from 2004 on and its looking for ABS.
Why isn't the engine MIL lamp on? Covered with black silicone?

    Hi
I just bought a 2010 Vauxhall Zafira Z19dth with a blown engine, I replaced the engne with a similar engine from a Z19dth van. I tried starting and It will not start, it wount even try to start or run on Easystart, I'm assuming I have done something stupid or maybe not, does the ECU need coding with the replacement engine
I have tried looking at the faults with a Solus but its a bit of a mystery, are there some other simple checks I do....is the tech 2 software available to run on a laptop

    • @LMAutoRepairs
      @LMAutoRepairs  4 роки тому

      Hi
No, the engine should start just fine, providing the ecu is the original from the car... no coding needed...
Now, should not be a mystery to communicate with the ecu, what happens exactly when you try to scan the car?
Just go over the plugs around the engine... it is easy to either miss something, or swap plugs... I have seen it in the past...
So, check, double check, and triple check everything...😉

Facelift Corsa C's (2004) 53 plates I'm sure introduced some limited canbus wiring replacing some k line wiring hence no comms with ecu. Engine codes also changed 2004 (53). It is also the reason why you can't replace the earlier CDR2005 cd player with a CD30 or vice versa.

I own a Corsa C for about what ...6 years now. I own opcom 2010, 2012, 2015 and 2017 versions. I own genuine tech2, genuine mdi and genuine mdi2. I can say, I know Corsa C like the back of my palm. Reversed engineered about half of the canbus now.
Little advice: never ever do program variant config of BCM with opcom. If you have the curiosity to read the config with mdi, you will see the config totally different. I program ESP8 with opcom, I find ESP3.4 with MDI, I program AC with climate control, I find AC unregulated with MDI.
I don't know if you want to or not, but you can always contact me for Vauxhall stuff, from 2001 to 2008, I'll be happy to share my knowledge so you can skip some puzzling.

Hello! I have a promblem i can't fix, just for you... Suzuki Splash, 2008, 1,0 engine. Just change the clutch, remove the ECU was the only thing I've done with electricity. When i get back the car together, the ign. key was on CONTACT position, when at last I connect the battery. So i turn of and then on the ignition and.... NOTHING happens!
I make e bridge to start the engine wit wire over starter solenoid. The engine starts, but stips after second... Then i check the starter cables - all is fine. U start the starter fron the relay place where fuses are not n the motor room, same way i started fuel pump...all works fine, fuel, battery on place....
Check again for the connection of the pins from ECU they are like new...
And all the time symbol "padlock over car" is blinking. The opens and xloses the doors, I put there new battery...
Three days the car is no start ....
I wait the car to recognise the key for hours...
Immo still blinks ... What can be?

I have a customer corsa that has come to me. He told me that the battery went flat, so he replaced the battery, and then the car wouldn't start it starts up and cuts out no spanner light. It's a 1.0 auto the only light's working on the cluster are the engine management light. So I scanned the car with Opcom it says to me that there is a miss match with security code from ecu to the instrument cluster. It is the original cluster. I checked the connection on the wiring harness to the cluster scanned again it gives same code so I read the eprom on the cluster got the code for it. I don't want to put this code in incase it maybe wrong. Any idea please

A garage that would swap a complete engine then swap all modules instead of just using the key and immo that they already have to sort a lost key from the original setup just have to be cowboys so you can't really trust them to have done everything correctly with their install.
I'd have just put it all back orig, used the new key, barrel and immo module. Unless it needs ECU swap if one engine is XEP and other is XE. Changed the pins on the 3 original modules that need it to the new one with OpCom. No messing with programming or variant coding. You have far more patience than me m8.
At start of video there's no engine warning light on the dash so either bulb missing from clocks or no Comms to ECU. First thing to sort is ECU Comms. Then any kind of Vauxhall immo fault you first have to look at live data for the security wait time being set. If it is then even the correct pin code won't even work for coding. When coding just make sure a charger is connected when doing the clocks - they need higher voltage for coding to work. Apart from bent pins Vauxhall immo modules can fail for the fun of it. Nearly as often as the failure of the ECUs.
The cruise thing likely to be wire missing from loom and/or wasn't available for that particular ECU.
Initially no comms to the ECU because the comms path from diagnostic socket goes through the immo module and actually the TMS chip inside it - it's not straight in and out to get to the ECU. No direct connection from OBD socket to ECU on this one.
The car with the spanner through it isn't a immobilizer light as such. It is when it's flashing. When solid it shows electrical fault on engine. At ignition on if it comes on and goes out there are no engine electrical faults. If it stays on till car is started this means there is a pending electrical fault that isn't serious enough as yet for the ECU to put the proper engine warning light on.
As always a good video. Keep it up.

Like! Great and hard work! But as always wonderful. Interesting video. Question. What version of the OPTOCOM adapter? It seems to me that not all versions support eprom read?

      Hi
I have a few... the version 120309a seemed to have a few glitches...
      I usually use the 100219a...

    LM auto repair great vedio
    But I have I question ?
Can you do it this operation just opcom
    Or mdi + opcom
And what the methods from reprograming ecu whit GM mdi

    • @LMAutoRepairs
      @LMAutoRepairs  4 роки тому +1

Opcom only could most likely do the job... as you have seen, I ended up not flashing the ecu...
Even MaxiSys could most likely to all this...

Another great video. I'm just taking a guess this car doesn't have cruise control. So if you disable it on the module. Would this help clear that code?
