    This is really just a reasonable sized mobile plant in use because it's probably close to the source concrete and to the buyer.
    There are permanent crusher operations that make this look like a toy.
    I have no idea on how to find it now but there was a video of one operation that was virtually automatic apart from trucks feeding the plant and buyers trucking away the finished product.
    Trucks would dump directly into a hopper that fed the crushing process and at the end of the line there were massive silos for want of a better name filled with the various grades of material that loaded directly into their customers trucks.

    Pretty cool.

    Material looks pretty good! Hope the magnet is working good, we stopped using recycled concrete because the guys must’ve been running it too fast and rebar and reinforcing wire was ending up in the material and in my truck tires! Two flat tires with wire and Rebar sticking out of them in one day! I was done with that shit!!😎

      hmm I was wondering about that, I would think accordingly sized steel in small amounts would contribute to the mix just fine, but inexplicably longer pieces of rod make it through our screening bucket, wondering what will happen when we start crushing, already thinking were gona need a labourer on the saw constantly cutting excess rod any way.

    Truly impressive; curious about the durability and maintenance schedule required after a couple of years of operations. Like, frequency of main bearing replacements for the jaw crusher unit? That often seems to be a key point of wear in these devices.
    A really well appreciated and most likely profitable favor to the demolition industry would be to invent a rock and concrete crushing system that was more appropriately scaled and costed to job-site operations; the size where the throughput needed from the crushing system is not measured in multiple tons per hour; more like 1/2 to 1 ton per hour.
    Instead of having to pay for hauling castoff rock & concrete to commercial operations, contractors could process the material into forms useful on the jobsite, or possible to be sold to other parties. This would also cut down on them simply calling up people to dump the material "anywhere we can't see it", which in many locales has been and still is a growing problem.
    Not only would this open up new sales/leasing/rental business for the machinery, but would have immediate impact with environmental concerns over the swiftly growing number and volumes of illegal construction materials dumpsites.

      @darylfield9314 2 роки тому

      It does happen alot but smaller crushers about 30ton machine they still produce a good amount per hour but some sites want it gone and crushing it then not being able to sell it could be a problem all depends on the job and what can be done

      watch the part at 2:20, there's a belt running right to left, it's like a big magnet and gets the big pieces. if you look close at 2:21 you can see the rebar on the ground, it falls off the magnet belt as it comes around. hope that helps.

I’m intrigued why there is no washing, the structural strength of washed aggregate in concrete versus unwashed of same density and size is significant

Anyway, can you use that recycled agggregate (not dirt as one of the idiot put) for structural concrete or do you just use it as Aggreagate base for road construction? And what is the cost ratio of virgin aggregate from quarry to the recycled aggregate, including lojistics cost?

      It's purely about economics and supply and demand. My customer produces base material and 57 stone ... In this region of South Georgia there is no natural Rock ... He can produce it for under $5 and they sell it for $35.
      He also screens makes a 67 Stone that he is able to put back into his concrete mix ... Thus saving him $400,000 per year from buying virgin Rock from the quarries ... Which are a long distance away. He is able to use this rock in his concrete for private jobs which is about 40% of his business ... So when you work out the mathematics it makes very concise sence

    What's that about 2 million dollars worth of equipment to make ... maybe 10k of road base aggregate? I wonder what when the break even point is? transporting this stuff to a demolition site or transporting materials from a demolition site to a yard like this would be very expensive. Seems this would have to be subsidized in some way or relocated to a war zone / earthquake / hurricane zone.

    • @robchalmers6278
      @robchalmers6278 5 років тому +1

      How do you make a million dollars quarrying ? Start with two !...This could be a tip so the concrete costs to to be dumped and subsidises the re crushing and resale.

    • @rockcrushingrecycling9880
      @rockcrushingrecycling9880  5 років тому +1

      my customers typically charge people to dump concrete as landfill prices increase, contractors are looking for a cheaper alternative to get rid of waste concrete brick rock asphalt ... It typically costs less than $5 us dollars to make a product that can sell for as low as $10/60 per ton depending on how where you are located ... Florida South Georgia and Alabama have little rock quarries available to them and recycled aggregate like concrete and asphalt is recognized as a alternative usable product.
      Laws and regulations drive this industry ... Also developing countries have a need for mobile equipment as the initial start up costs are significantly less than stationary quarry equipment.

    • @hughmarcus1
      @hughmarcus1 5 років тому +2

      In most of Europe now, large construction projects have to have lots of 'environmental' statements around the project. This includes recycling of materials. For any that have an element of demolition, the concrete usually gets crushed on site & reused. This is the 'greenest' method as there's no road transport involved. Machines such as these can be taken to the site by low loader & used there. That's their appeal. This setup is a bit more involved with all the screening. The resulting material probably has a resale value. This will avoid 'quarry' taxes etc.
