Growing up poor, I was never able to get a nice perfume and I really wanted a lot of these so bad. Over the years I have forgotten about them all, but I think now that I'm an adult and can afford them, I should get them. The ones I wanted most were Clinique Happy, Ralph by Ralph Lauren and Light Blue by D&G. :) Great video, Soki!
Same here, grew up poor. I loved Ralph and would save up birthday money to get a bottle which would last me around a year. I'm pretty well off now so can afford any perfume I want, so my collection has varied somewhat, but I still love Ralph by RL
Ralph was my signature for many, many years. I haven’t worn it in a couple of years and actually just wore it this week and was reminded how much I love it. I’m going to start wearing it again.
My best friend in high school (Julie) wore Ralph. She passed away a few weeks before I left home for college (2005) and it gutted me. Every time I smell this fragrance, I am transported back to sleepovers and listening to Kenny Chesney and being out on the boat and talking about boys we liked and just all of my “coming of age” memories.
Tommy Girl is still my favorite perfume, even after ALL these years. I could never go without having it in my collection. It's beautiful and easy going... I love it.
@@genevieve6021 It lasts a few hours and then I generally have to reapply. I don't mind though, because I love the smell so much and it's so affordable.
Absolutely loving this series! Please do the 80s! The decade that brought us the big powerhouses! Loved hearing about the Kenzo bottles too, you don’t think about things like at as a consumer!
Ralph by Ralph Lauren was always one I wanted when I was a kid because it smelled so grown up to me. I'm actually 29 and just bought it lol. It definitely smells like a green apple but reminds me of fresh linen on a summer day. I do one or two spritzes before work, since it just smells clean and inoffensive.
Euphoria is still amazing... and I remember when it dropped in 05. I wanted it right away but lived in a fairly small town so my man at the time and I went all the way to the nearest city big enough to have a department store in it, which was 70+ miles away. But the trip was worth it because we came back with the EDP in tow ❤ ahh good memories.
Yes! I wore Tommy Girl, Ralph Ralph Lauren, Polo Sport and D&G Light Blue as I was in college at the time. I also remember wearing Glow by J Lo and Romance Ralph Lauren all the time for night usually. I also wore a lot of Bath and Body Works and Victoria's Secret scents in the 90's and 00's. I still like Pleasures and Romance today and I have worn them since the 90's/00's.
Cool video! My only thing, I associate Tommy Girl so much with mid to late 90's, I don't remember many wearing it in the 2000's. I'd switch Gucci Rush from the 90's video which I remember being all over the early 2000's with Tommy Girl.
Great review! I don't want to be THAT person😂 .... but.... I missed Coco Mademoiselle, which launched in 2001 and it's pretty iconic and still sold. Other than that, I think you nailed the round down very well. 😊
I didn’t have it but, the grip that the cacharel amor amor had on me in high school was unreal. I wanted it so much that I used to keep all the testers from the store and put them around my room 😂
You have perfect discussions of every fragrance especially Euphoria, I totally agree, it's like one note, nothing groundbreaking about it, totally boring, I no mo like it😔 great video as always
My signature scent for some time during the 00's was Curve (in the blue tin) by Liz Clairborne. Then I couldn't stop wearing Love Spell and Heavenly by Victoria's Secret. Also anything Cucumber Melon scented was my jam during high school!! Good times!!
So...what would you say were the perfume notes on trend in this decade? I wore DKNY Be Delicious in the later half...something I noticed in your video is that it seems there's a lot of apple during the 00s as opposed to the apricot of the 90s.
Lightblue , loved it, Euphoria, that was my signature smell💖💖💖. Alien and its jasmine... yes, loved having it a meter around me( now I would think its agressive😖. Oh, back to the past, thank you S🙏🌸
Pink sugar is one of my first perfumes and I love wearing it when I go out! I think it's still popular to this day and I see it selling almost everywhere.
Alien is my personal nightmare, even the body lotion gives me severe headaches accompanied by nausea. I’m so glad it is not that popular anymore. Some of my friends still love it, but thankfully they never wear it when I’m around
Did you try Mary Kate and Ashley's Hamptons Style perfume? It was GORGEOUS,got so many compliments for it. Such a pretty scent❤️Sadly it's discontinued☹️my favourite perfume ever, still trying to find it ☹️
I loved promesse by cacharel. Its been discontinued now. I have a bottle with a tiny tiny bit in 😔 I have found that vesace eros and midnight rose smell similar..
I’m still drawn to early 2000’s - I swear the more complex ones now days smell *more* similar to each other than unique - it’s like it smells good but how much different is it from these other ones? I remember once like Calvin Klein Obsession, Poison, and Coty Wild Musk being my holy grails in the 80’s, 90’s - too strong for me now, but I still love Midnight Fantasy, etc. I LOVED Victoria’s Secret Pink (just Pink perfume) so much! How do I know if something was reformulated? Because my nose has changed - I loved Tommy Girl but prefer it on my clothes - smells clean and fresh, but more flat and musty on my skin. That’s another thing, Burberry Her Elixir smells so good on paper or in the bottle but like straight up plastic on me. Ones like Alien give me massive headaches and smells like body odor, but simple ones like Salt Air by Skylar smell sooooo good - my daughter said it smells like “me” which is huge, because many fragrances turn her off. I’m 53 and still love gourmands. As far as being for young girl perfume does that mean older women need stronger florals, because every man I know thinks strong florals/rose reminds them of their grandma - just because I’m old enough to be one doesn’t mean I want to be ashamed with one - all the sophisticated ones like YSL Libra give me a headache and I can’t stand not being able to wash something off at the end of the day.
My favorite perfume from that era was Lanvin homme sport , I remember it was fresh but have a depth and it was so sexy but sadly it disappear after 4-5 hours
DKNY Delicious was popular in the 2000s too. I had both the original and the Red Delicious. I still wear them!
Yes!!! I wanted it so badly
Red delicious is fabulous. And the box it comes in makes great storage container!🥰
I wore the hell out of Be Delicious in the 2000s. I loved that slightly apple shaped bottle 🍏
Me too!
Growing up poor, I was never able to get a nice perfume and I really wanted a lot of these so bad. Im wearing that right now.Love it!!!
How’s the longevity on you?
@@genevieve6021 It lasts a few hours and then I generally have to reapply. I don't mind though, because I love the smell so much and it's so affordable.
@@TheEventBoutiqueDC On clothes or skin?
@@genevieve6021 On skin. It lasts a little longer on clothes. Maybe 4 hours.
High school was all about Bath and Body Works Cucumber Melon and College was all about Sweet Pea. The Victoria Secret Angel line was EVERYWHERE
Dont forget Love Spell and Heavenly by VS!!
I loved VS Angel!
Yes! That' right!
Absolutely loving this series! Please do the 80s! The decade that brought us the big powerhouses! Loved hearing about the Kenzo bottles too, you don’t think about things like at as a consumer!
80s coming soon!!
Hey, SoKi! Would love to see a video in continuation of this series that looks back at the most popular and defining perfumes of the 2010s 💖
Hmm interesting idea !
Ralph Lauren was definitely a staple in my collection!
Lancome Miracle came out in 2000 Feb I think, and definitely is a 2000 -s smell. Still waiting on Miracle review please xx
I miss the original Euphoria so much! They reformulated it and doesnt smell the same as when it got out at all!! 😞
Euphoria is still amazing... and I remember when it dropped in 05. Thanks for sharing!!
My sister always wears Light Blue. It smells great on her. It is not my vibe but I do like it on other people.
I still wear Tommy Girl and D&G Light Blue clean pleasant scents
Cool video! My only thing, I associate Tommy Girl so much with mid to late 90's, I don't remember many wearing it in the 2000's. I'd switch Gucci Rush from the 90's video which I remember being all over the early 2000's with Tommy Girl.
Adidas natural vitality, Daisy, Armani Code, J'adore, Chloe, Aqua di Gioia 👌😌
I wore Ralph and Romance back then and my bestie still wears light blue to this day.
Great review! I don't want to be THAT person😂 .... but.... I missed Coco Mademoiselle, which launched in 2001 and it's pretty iconic and still sold.
Other than that, I think you nailed the round down very well. 😊

Vala Dina Euphoria smells like medicine to me.
It's been reformulated and the new formulation is boring! The original was amazing!
My signature scent for some time during the 00's was Curve (in the blue tin) by Liz Clairborne. Then I couldn't stop wearing Love Spell and Heavenly by Victoria's Secret. Also anything Cucumber Melon scented was my jam during high school!! Good times!!
I love all the fragances in this video 🥰 Thank you!
Love light blue and alien. Great video!
I still love Tommy Girl, Ralph’s Romance and Cacharel’s NOA. 😊
Great video! Please a video dedicated to chypre perfumes

Yes agree on the Apple and apricot :)
Loving this series
My mom had Tommy Girl and it reminds me of her so I spray it when I want to go back in time for a few moments
aw that's lovely
I still have midnight fantasy I love it ❤️
Lightblue , loved it, Euphoria, that was my signature smell💖💖💖. Alien and its jasmine... yes, loved having it a meter around me( now I would think its agressive😖. Oh, back to the past, thank you S🙏🌸
I received Tommy Girl for my 15 year old. Romance is my favorite ever.
Aqalina pink sugar makes me think of early 2000's it was huge when I was in high school and junior high.
Pink sugar is one of my first perfumes and I love wearing it when I go out! I think it's still popular to this day and I see it selling almost everywhere.
Ralph and Tommy Girl are two I keep restocking even if I am far from being a teenager 😅. Btw I have been loving your channel.
Oh gosh, this video reminded me of my university days
High school and college days!! Good times for sure.
Best scents of 2000s.... Flower by Kenzo, Light Blue, Amor Amor and Red Delicious. 🍎
Alien is my personal nightmare, even the body lotion gives me severe headaches accompanied by nausea. I’m so glad it is not that popular anymore. Some of my friends still love it, but thankfully they never wear it when I’m around

I loved promesse by cacharel. Its been discontinued now. I have a bottle with a tiny tiny bit in 😔
I have found that vesace eros and midnight rose smell similar..
Tommy Girl was released in 1996.
Tommy Girl launched in 1996, not 2000s
Do you know any modern perfumes that smell like Tommy girl?
Nostalgie 🥲⬆️💚
What a fun series
💗💗💗😍I love your reviews! Thank u so much😚
Please do a video about perfumed that have peach as a prominent noticeable note
I think Red Jeans by Versace is a peach fragrance.
From this period I like Crystal Noir, Live Irresistible by Givenchy and Instant de Guerlain.
I absolutely adored Pleasures by Estee Lauder and Dream Angels Halo by Victoria Secret.
you missed Crystal Noir Versace and Ange ou demon Givenchy! quite reminiscent of those years...
Love this video. I've been using Romance for years. Ever since I could afford it. I love it.
I still wear midnight fantasy and DKNY be delicious 😅
can you do a specific video for strawberry fragrances? (sorry for my bad english ) 😊
Yes will do! 🍓
I only remember Tommy Girl from the 90s...
Ralph and light blue are my all time favs. And Abercrombie 8 😆
Have you smelled Notorious by Ralph Lauren? It was launched in 2008. Unfortunately it is discontinued 😔

In the 2000's my signature was Angel Thierry Mugler. I still have one, but nowadays I can't use it anymore.
I recently bought a bottle of Euphoria and it’s not nearly as strong as it was originally. Disappointing.
AMOR AMOR is amazing! I remember being exposed to it in high school class flipping through a friends magazine probably seventeen or something lol
haha, that's nice
What about Jil Sander Sun? Everybody was wearing it. Or was that the 90s?
Came out in the 80s!
Love Romance
My favorite perfume from that era was Lanvin homme sport , I remember it was fresh but have a depth and it was so sexy but sadly it disappear after 4-5 hours
