With the release of Breath of the Wild, Did You Know Gaming takes a look at some facts, secrets, Easter eggs and history of The Legend of Zelda: The Minish Cap. The Minish Cap was developed by Capcom in conjunction with Nintendo. The title was released for the Game Boy Advance (GBA) in Japan and Europe in 2004 and in North America and Australia the following year. Through our analysis of the game, its gameplay, history, and beta builds, we hope to show you the most interesting Zelda facts we can find.

The real reason the minish aren't in breath of the wild is this... Rupees/hearts/etc can't be found in grass or pots anymore, right? Well who was revealed to be responsible for that in the past? The Minish!

Originally, it was just clumsy people that dropped them all over.
But you can find rupees in the grass it’s just rare and there aren’t any recovery hearts cause there is no need for them since you can eat food so Nintendo didn’t put recovery hearts the minish still exist in breath of the wild

the fact that they cut the "minish" out ot breath of the wild gets me pretty upset, not gonna lie. And omg this zelda is so good. Nintendo, collaborate with capcom more times.

I am still so upset that they haven't reused Vaati in his mage form. He is by far my favorite Zelda villain. I imagine he would have made an amazing character for Hyrule warriors as well.
maybe the inevitable Hyrule Warriors 2 will include Vaati ( I wanted him too )....personally I was also a bit disappointed they didn't include Onox from Oracle of Seasons or Ashei from Twilight Princess

It's a good game but I felt that it was unfinished or only half a game, with only 5 dungeons... it needed more!

Hands down the most underrated Zelda game and one of the best GBA games there is. The game would have sold way better if Nintendo released it earlier than 2005 when the DS already was out

Something that I find funny is that the game was developed by Capcom and the sprite art got reused in Four Swords as well as the other Four Swords on the GameCube and I found no credit to them so far.
Sad the Minish were cut from Breath of the Wild. Such a unique concept, hopefully we see them in future games

YES! All we ever got that was Nintendo/Capcom for Zelda was Minish Cap and the Oracle games, and they were all really good! We NEED Nintendo to partner up with Capcom again, even if it's for just one game!
Totally agree. Nintendo should partner up with Capcom to do 3D or HD sequels/remakes for the Oracle games, kind of like Between Worlds, and finally make that ''Oracle of Secrets'', which got cancelled back then.

Such a horribly underrated game. Every moment of this game was brilliant. The dungeons were smart, the items were creative, the story was well paced and the environment felt alive. Art style and graphics were outstanding and most of all, it was incredibly fun.
did you know? in the french version of The Minish Cap, the Minish actually speaks normal french, the words are just reverted

Not really. When people talk about The Minish Cap, they always say how great it is. I mean, I love The Minish just as much as the next guy, but I don't see how a game that everyone loves could be considered underrated.

I wonder if Nintendo will ever reference the Picori in a Nintendo-developed game? They don't necessarily need to be implemented in gameplay, but I would like to see them pop up in the game somewhere.
Well, I guess that answers my question..... But then they cut them out, along /w a shrinking Link..... Although they haven't hinted at anything like this in their DLC for BoTW, I have a feeling it might make it into the next game.... Provided it comes out on the Switch....
My only legend of Zelda game when I was little, but enjoyed it a bunch and still get a ton of nostalgia when I play it, I enjoy the story, the game length and all the added things you can do along the story.

IMO a very underrated Zelda title. I recommend giving it a try if you haven't.
I would say that the Oracle games are the most underrated and overlooked of the entire series. That being said those games along with Minish Cap are top tier zelda games.

AHHH! This was the first legend of Zelda game I had ever finished! Seeing this video made me feel so happy and made me want to get it again! It still stands as one of my favorites the music, the characters, kinstone side quest, story, the shrinking mechanic, and the graphics were some of the best especially for a 2-D handheld. It's all a very unique gameplay experience and style.
This is such an underrated game! Minish Cap is definitely in my list of top 5 Zelda games

MEAD3MAYNE that's not really an 'unsolved secret' as there is nothing really there. It was likely just a little bit of text accidentally left in from a scrapped quest or something. I believe the wall makes a sound like a bombable wall when hit with the sword, but can't actually be bombed, implying that it was once intended to be, but later discarded.
This was my first Zelda game, still my favorite 2D Zelda. I love the variety in different types of dungeon exploration.
I hope the minish folk make an appearance in future zelda titles

Man I completely forgot about this game. Loved it.
Minish Cap and the other two Four Swords games are my favorites. ALttP, WW, Link's Awakening, Breath of the Wild, and PH are also favorites, but I remember liking the Four Swords trilogy a bit more.
I remember always going onto the site they had for this game and discovering the wallpapers they had and listening to the song that was playing. It's a shame that I can't find anything playing that song for it, since they shut that page down years ago.
