- Are Clemson and Florida State the only clear favorites to win the ACC? According to the ESPN SP+ model, and a conference preview by Bill Connelly, the Seminoles and Tigers combine for over a 51% chance to win the ACC. That leaves the rest of the field under 49%. FSU and Clemson have been the primary powers in recent years, but is this model too dismissive of what feels like a very open ACC? Clemson has big questions on offense while Florida State has a ton of new pieces. It’s worth noting that there are obvious questions elsewhere, too. Miami might have the most talent on paper but there are questions about coaching and newcomers.
Hosts Alex Donno and Kenton Gibbs discuss these conference predictions and Gibbs makes a case as to why Clemson cannot be trusted. Meanwhile, there is growing buzz that FSU could make a formal announcement in the near future that they are leaving the ACC. Donno explains why announcing before August 15th would be significant, although a formal announcement does not change the fact that multiple lawsuits are still moving at a snail’s pace. The guys discuss a “bold prediction” that states Miami and Georgia Tech will eventually join the Big Ten after FSU and Clemson do.

You cannot blame these teams for wanting out. Couldn't even make the playoffs with an undefeated team. FSU should've been in over Alabama, and Georgia should've been in over Texas. But "the media " (ESECPN) considered the ACC weak, wich was BS

If the B1G-SEC are going to look so chalky with the dominant (Ohio, Georgia) incumbent front runners winning it, what was the point of adding teams?
Because in just a few short years, those two conferences know that it will basically be the two against each other. Adding the last couple of big value teams would do a lot for either conference to gain some ground on the other since there won't be another Clemson or Texas become available in the future. If you're the commissioner of one of those two, then you have to grab them up so the other doesn't get them. The last couple of opportunities to get a big one.

Midwest dnt get bitter cold till late December early January and then you have some warm days , global warming had changed the way the Midwest climate , now closer to the Great Lakes area like Michigan and Michigan St, Wisconsin , Minnesota, and Iowa and Nebraska gets cold but it’s not super bad but Artic blast do sometimes come through the Midwest
I like how in the preseason every year these anylists act like the guys who left for the NFL cant be replaced. Guess what, it happens every year. New guys step up and become the starters of the team. FSU will have guys to throw to. Not to mention, both of those teams have defenses that are years ahead of the rest of the league. That's what wins it all.

I think tortious interference is the phrase you’re looking for. The thing about the realignment situation is that if the acc wants to be viewed as a legit power conference they have to fund their football powers well enough to be competitive with the B1G and SEC. If they don’t and they fail to field teams that compete then the conference has sealed its fate.
I’m an FSU fan and here’s my list:
FSU: 20-23%
Clemson: 18-21%
Miami: 16-19%
NCSt/VaTech/Louisville: 12-15%
My list is fluid and contingent on injuries etc.
FSU, Clemson, and Miami are the 3 most talented teams but crazier things have happened.
Doeren is a really good coach at NC State, ditto for Brohm at Louisville, and VaTech seems to be on an upward trajectory. Should be a fun season!

FSU is out of the ACC even if they lose the court case. No reason to stay in a conference that you are losing money at every year. Plus doesn't back you on anything. Last thing the other teams that voted for the ACC to sue FSU a month after they filed will regret it when the contract with ESPN has lowered the payout.

It really depends on the 'What' & 'When' those Computer Models were Programed. Computers only Know, what Humans put into them. So, if a Computer is Primarily filled with Last & Previous years Stat's, Figures and Numbers [you can clearly tell according to the results]... then what other results should we have been expecting???... Certainly Nothing Updated. This is all [obviously] based on Old Info... 'Old', New News... 'ESPN' or not.

@@gloverP276 UNC goes to either big or sec, they become a take the $, take the losses program. It wasn’t that long ago no one was showing up to their football games. The difference is Miami has shown it can get to the top of CFB competition. They unfortunately have to compete with every pro sport plus a million other things to draw sold out crowds. People will show up once they start winning again.

This is laughable. Models are only as good as the idiots that put them together. Not to mention, models are usually based off of past information, statistics, etc. They do not take into account any possible adjustments, etc., Just hard to believe that FSU or Clemson will be playing in the ACC championship given the fact that neither team is nowhere near what they were the last couple of years in terms of talent. FSU, while they will have a good defense, offensively will not be as strong as they were last year. Clemson, please, they're having an identity crisis. Out of the 2 programs, Clemson stands a better chance of getting to the ACC championship although I think that they won't. I think that it will be other teams in the ACC championship game.
