I must say that Chile has the best Fire Trucks in the world and I love the way they aren't afraid to use all their sirens.
Y eso que son el único país en el mundo que son 100% voluntarios
I’ve never seen such an eclectic collection of fire apparatus before. I love the fact they’ve embraced the “REAL” Federal Q(not the electronic one) and aren’t afraid to use it, unlike many North American departments. Kudos 👍🏻
They pretty much put every siren in every one of their trucks. And any lights even green lights.
You'd be surprised how many rural departments have the mechanical Q sirens mixed with electronic sirens & will use 'em as tornado sirens if needed.
@@just_arand0mplayer727Can't put green in rural areas. Blends in with the crops & vegetation, or in at least Ohio's case, green is used on ODOT trucks.

OMG, they even have 3 tone Italian sirens??? That’s madness right there!
im surprised that they haven't toned down with the sirens because of noise pollution. I love Santiago for that
In Chile, most of the fire stations were formed by immigrants. It is for this reason some fire trucks have flags of many countries, it en is also cause fire trucks have European and American sirens like a MIX

In Chile, most of the fire stations were formed by immigrants. It is for this reason that some fire trucks have flags of many countries, it is also why fire trucks have European and American sirens.
For English-speaking friends, the answer to your questions is called Immigration. Spaniards, English, French, Americans, and Italians founded the first fire companies in Chile. And by tradition, sirens, horns, etc. from each country are used.
Fun fact, the company that was founded by Spaniards has an American fire truck.
America: Has American sirens
Germany: Has German sirens
United Kingdom: Has British sirens
Italy: Has Italian sirens
France: Has French sirens
India: Has Indian sirens
And then...
Chile: Yes
I'm so jealous :D
I was in Santiago in 2007. I got a kick out of all the sirens on the fire trucks and red and/or blue lights.

@@MrTenor-ch5gs Chile uses vehicles based on the stations history. Thats why there are french and german ones aswell
Is nothing standardized on these firetrucks? Their lighting, sirens and colorschemes are all over the place
Each fire station decides what color of lights or what type of sirens the units will use!
In Chile, most of the fire stations were formed by immigrants. It is for this reason that some fire trucks have flags of many countries, it is also why fire trucks have European and American sirens.
Exactly, It’s almost like America and the entirety of Europe thought it would be funny to gang up on Chile! 😂
I think i found the nation that an emergency spotter enthusiast would lived (unfortunately for me the italian fire truck they mount the siren wrongly, never point down or behind the bumper, always on the roof point in fron of the street)

What do the black, green, and blue fire trucks do?
Son solo colores, la función de los voluntarios de Bomberos es el universal
" Chile, los Bomberos son 100% voluntarios "
well new yorkers this is the alarming siren u guys are refering to
I have ... questions.... O_o
1. Am I the only one? German "Martinshorn" paired with US sirens? This is... weird
2. Why do they have different lights? Blue, red, green. Even trucks are Blue...
3. Why the heck do some of the trucks have German names? 2:00 "Emile Grunewald Lehmann"
All these trucks don't look like they were retired in Europe or the US and have been imported. The mix of US and EU trucks is crazy.
Its all about tradition, martin horns are tradition in some Chilean fire departments so the add them to their trucks dispite the origin of them. The color of the truck also depends of the tradition of the department, for example one of the department was founded by germans, soy their truck are orange like germans ones. And also, they put names to their trucks in honor to important firefighter in history, usally martyrs. So probably the name of that truck is due a german origin person that died in act of service or contribute a lot to the firefighter institution.

@@Spec-Ops-Texan In the last 20 years or so most fire truck stations have been switching (or aspire to do so in a near future) to American firetrucks, both new and used, as the city hubs get bigger. In smaller-scale cities, low budget/rural communes (towns), you're more prone to find 10-25 year old European machinery, specially Renault Camivas from France, and a few (mostly used) American trucks.
