Love it! That addition of the frill was so clever, making the dart seem to completely disappear. The zip gives so many design possibilities too. Really looking forward to future videos!
Love it. I've made something close to that and was very happy with he out come. Only problem it was not for me. Never did make one for myself. Maybe I should. Nice class, hope you had fun, later
+Anne Scanapico It was a special time and I have studied with him alot since. Right now I'm doing an Online course to get my Master TR Cutting certificate. Tree X
+Diana Voermans Well funny you should day that.....on Sunday I'm doing a Sample Sale video to raise money for the Online TR Cutting course I am doing. Even though I have studied with him in person for many years, he will only give me the Master TR Cutting certificate if I do the month Course and it's not cheap but very worth it (if you don't already know stuff) Thankyou Tree. P.S. go look at the playlist for Fashion Students o Stitchless TV x
Confused by seam allowance graphic. At 7.49 the graphic says "add 0.5 seam allowance". We're to add a one half CM seam allowance? Seems skimpy, no? Don't think this graphic meant to say 5 CM because that's nearly two inches of seam allowance) What is the recommended seam allowance?
+Madasa Hatter Oh no......it is definitely meant to say 0.5cm, Thankyou for pointing this out. All TR Cutting techniques work to a very small seam allowance Tree X
+Madasa Hatter it's half a cm which I believe is about a quarter of an inch. This is because when you go to sew the curves which you do by snipping alot into the valley parts of the curves (ie.convex curves) you need a small seam allowance. X
Catherine Lane Ok......yes, you can not see that well but with the text and my comments it helps you understand. Shingo Sato is a World famous pattern cutter and the opportunity to get this footage is special. Tree x
Yes I know but for more experienced people it's enough for them to learn visually. I can however recommend this video ua-cam.com/video/hlsZ9M-EvJo/v-deo.html where the principles are the same but I am showing you. Would be good to know what you think? Thankyou.
Hello, in the world of TR Cutting....people are just in awe at seeing Shingo work in real life. To the semi trained eye you can see what he is doing.....watch some of the other TR Cutting videos in the Playlist 'For Fashion Students and Sewing Enthusiasts' as it might help ou understand....especially the olour block dress videos. Otherwise I can recommend his onlne courses of if you live in the UK, the TR Cutting Workshops at Fashion Technology Academy in North London. Tree x

Yes... it really open doors on new ideas
Hi there! Im wondering are the darts suppose to be still closed after you open up the new style line for the pattern to lay flat?
Yes because you loose the space yhat was in that bust dart into the new style line (seam)
Love it. I've made something close to that and was very happy with he out come. Only problem it was not for me. Never did make one for myself. Maybe I should. Nice class, hope you had fun, later

Thanks ro responding-- so at.5 cm, in imperial measurement, this S/A would be around 3/16th of an inch, correct?
