Did you think Katana Zero was hard before? Try Hard mode. This update was released about 10 days ago, but I totally missed it so this video is a bit late.
V's boss fight is actually incredibly easy once you learn that you can just jump on the wall and then jump off it when V gets close. You'll fly over him and then he'll shoot up. He'll never hit you (unless you deliberately want him to) and he'll leave his back open for an attack. Then you just run to the other side and repeat everything. This was before they added psychiatrist into the speedrun mode though, I don't know if anything has changed. Update: yep, still works.

Honestly impressive. You have quite the dedication, and humility too, as you always admit to things that kept you back in the description. Good job man!
Tbh I always thought that Russian dude was wearing a helmet, so that actually being his hair is a brain blast moment for me. It’s like learning the Pokémon Ruby/Sapphire male trainer was hearing a hat instead of having white hair.
Hey, a little trick for the helicopter battle; You can reflect the machine gun fire. Its a little tricky to stick the timing right and also not get shot, but its possible and makes the battle much quicker.
Spoilers Below? My theory is that the Psychiatrist actually did take a drug, one that let him attack Subject Zero's (Imma just call him that to differentiate him from another sword-wielding video game character named Zero) mind through oneiromancy; essentially inducing a state of sleep paralysis in Subject Zero and dragging him into a vivid nightmare. The Psychiatrist might have been trying to keep him in a dream until the Chronos fully left his system and he expired. The only reason the Psychiatrist was able to catch Subject Zero's punch and overpower him is because the latter was weakening from withdrawal. If Subject Zero had been hallucinating on his own due to Chronos Withdrawal, he probably would have acted out everything and caused collateral damage in the office (assuming Chronos withdrawal hallucinations are anything like PCP trips). My guess is that he was able to rip himself out of sleep paralysis and shishkebab the Psychiatrist through the eye. Dunno how he plans on surviving the Chronos withdrawal in this ending, though.
Psychiatrist boss is the best moment in the whole game. And it's a pity that most gamers, after playing the game and even passing it, may not guess (except if they do not read the Internet) that there is a secret boss. And even knowing that it is there, it is very difficult to open it. But he's amazing. And this is the best thing in the whole game.
The only boss that gave me trouble on hard mode had to be the secret boss thankfully there's a checkpoint in each phase so it wasn't too cruel Can't wait for what the expansion has to offer especially since its 3× bigger now
I gotta say, the bosses are *really* made better by hard mode, especially the psychiatrist. They really intensify the speed of the game and the need for perfection and force you to learn the moveset.

Btw it might be hard to do without slow mo but you can reflect the bullets the helicopter pilot barrages as it rushes at you, allowing you to shorten the fight significantly if done right.

Yeah, Devolver games have a lot of common themes, both in plot and in action.
This game is basically Mother Russia Bleeds meets Samurai Jack.
