Seb’s head shake after JB’s New York answer is scored lmao. He might have been going ‘this guy… New York! Couldn’t have done better than freaking New York!”
To save you the google: Corm - a rounded underground storage organ present in plants such as crocuses, gladioli, and cyclamens, consisting of a swollen stem base covered with scale leaves.
The one Movie the Entire World Knows for Yul Brenner that played every year The Ten Commandments. That’s my guess and it’s Pointless 😒 And I was screaming Trenton and New Jersey
11:02 Columbus is pointless. Yes indeed. A guy lost looking for spices.

A guy lost?? He knew exactly where he was the only thing was 2 continents blocked his way. He returned home, thats not lost. You dont realize how sttuuupppiiidd you are. He set off in a direction charted his voyage discovered a completely unknown half of the world (the people living there had not a clue where they stood in the world) Found his way home and did it 2 more times. No greater achievement by man, of influencing the course of history. He wasn't lost he encountered an obstacle, which was far greater than reaching India.
@@susi-emily I had Pierre in round one, got sunshine on Leith in round 2 and had Avengers IW and XXX in final (my third answer was Pitch Back but Richard didn't mention so I assume it got points) my go to pointless answers Pierre, Franklin Pierce, Lord North, Mauritania, Rutherfordium and Rosaland Franklin 🤣
I was surprised that Patrick Stewart wasn't one of the famously bald actors.

My American ears heard JR say he was going for his "Marxist" Degree as well as the Host. Then I so brilliantly deducted he said Masters and it only took me 5 minutes. Who would have ever thought Masters Degree? Go-figure
@@snarkybuttcrack Right, but she was a loser. It's commonplace for people to win a quarter million, and several have won a million. But this show very rarely hands out the "jackpot", and even that is miserable.
the wood mill?? surely it would be the wind mill if anything! wtf is a "wood" mill. I mean, it wouldve been wrong anyway but at least it would have been something that actually is a thing

US states and capitals always makes me think of 'Turkey in the Straw' and Jess Harnell's Souse accent.
16:47 Admit it: most of you knew only that from either "Steamed Hams" or "Wakko's America", right?
The only state capital without a McDonalds, Montpelier.
And canned pumpkin is great for pumpkin pie.
Disappointed they didn't go for American Basketballers. I might've gotten a couple of poinless answers

Honolulu, Springfield, New York, Oregon, Wyoming, Pierre, Jefferson City, Missouri
When I saw Kelly McDonald and Emma Thompson, all i could think of was Nanny McPhee - and it wasn't in Scotland.
Cheyenne and Concord were the ones I had in mind :)

woohoo I got pointless in the first 2 rounds, and 2 pointless answers in the final
Got about 5 pointlesses on the US States & Capitals, and pointless for Fast 6 in the final.

Apparently, I would have gotten 3x pointless answers in the final round: The Brothers Karamazov, Battle of the Bulge, and Boiler Room...
I am banking for the final category on Pitch Black, cause I don't think Guardians 1 or Fast Five are gonna do it. Fingers crossed.
I was shocked that "S" and "B" in the second round were so low.
17:15 I was unaware they switched the capital of South Dakota to Pear
Brits hate pronouncing French words
In another episode they had an American contestant mention the city and apparently they do pronounce Pierre like pear (or pair or whatever).

Me : « I would have said Boise no one knows that city.
Heather : ….😅
Montpelier Vermont
State capitols without A...Didn't list Honolulu in pointless answers.
Lincoln would have my answer to the first question
The "huge jackpot" of 11500 pounds is the smallest "top" game prize I have ever seen. This is just above a junior school quiz prize.
Cheryl Turner appeared on Who Wants to be a Millionaire and won £500

Especially given how hard it is to win
It is ridiculous
Let me introduce you guys to Only Connect
Phoenix
Not sure why he mentioned Morton, IL as the capital of Illinois is Springfield.
I don’t think he said it was the capital. He just mentioned it as a fun fact about Illinois.
the wood mill?? surely it would be the wind mill if anything! wtf is a "wood" mill. I mean, it wouldve been wrong anyway but at least it would have been something that actually is a thing
No. Windmill is one word.
Aka lumber mill
Oh, the British ... 🙄
