Why Avto special ammo? - Currently most "end game weapons/out of place weapons" like Dolch, nitro are special ammo - When you fight avtomat, you should be able to play the fight for the avtomat to run out of ammo. That's currently not possible if you run this load out + ammo boxes - Special Ammo would allow more balancing (right now it has 1:1 Mosin stats) - Avto being special ammo would allow more loadouts you can run it with (right now it doesn't make sense to run Avto without secondary that brings more ammo) What u think? More flexibility would be nice
I would make it very expensive, like 5k per Avto or something. They should be rare. For me; every time I hear a Avto it's like the round gained a mini-Boss and the Avto is the reward for beating it. Or you rework the reserve ammo system or give it a 4-round burst.
Hunt of Duty: Showdown Warfare. This will probably get nerfed like VERY soon. Unfortunately. Cause I see a lot of Avto players lately and I expected this with the sparks pistols being added. Well if you can't beat them, join them.
They’re not that hard to beat. You usually hear them before you see them and can distance accordingly. Haven’t been seeing too many anyway but I play on console so that might explain it.
@@Hextin Yeah I don’t pour a lot of my income into games or hardware. I’m in my 30’s and have a family, a mortgage, and other interests as well. I just don’t have the time or space to justify a PC purchase. It’s not within my best interest and I’d rather invest in firearms over gaming, personally.

Exactly, one main balancing point for the avto was the ammo problems, but now its just overpowered. They need to fix this asap, i think they should make it special ammo and treat it like the lebel so you dont get a lot of ammo back
@@elliottanderson7974 thats exactly what they should do to balance it😅 at the current state everybody can spray and pray as long as they want because its easy to resupply, if they make the ammo more valuable, you have to pick your fights and you have to get good with it so you dont need to use a mag per kill, that would make the avtomat stay as strong as it is, but harder to use in the long run because you have to split up your ammo to get through the match.
It is by far the most oppressive weapon to be up against, especially when a whole team is running it. The recoil is really not that hard to get a handle on, and its pretty reliable up to like 40m. This is one of the biggest misconceptions about the avto that I hear people repeat constantly, "it's just an expensive shotgun". No the avto has shotgun range beat by a significant amount, even slug range. It's biggest weakness -- the rng factor -- can also be a benefit in the hands of a lower skill player. At the end of the day do you want to be against a squad of avto users or a squad of nitro users? For me avto is way scarier because I know they don't really have to be that good with the weapon to kill me, as opposed to the nitro.
I'm a console player (might be different advice I'm asking) and I recognize you can't really play hunt showdown like you usually do but when shooting do you focus on strafing or pulling down on the recoil?
@@cassidy8307 3 star recoil control. All jokes aside if you play for a few rounds with the avto and you get used to it then its easily the 2nd best weapon in the game after snipers. 5-6 star lobbies have become quite unplayable because of that.
Bayou in 1.9 started to sound like customs dorms from EFT... Maybe there is even more automatic fire than in Tarkov, no joke (just a comical exaggeration (or maybe not)).

Actual the game needs more wacky weapons. You guys are crying because when someone else uses it you die instantly but when I use it omg I can’t hit anything. I’m good with avto but I get destroyed by shotgun or longer range guys, it’s not a magic weapon. I don’t think we need more avtomats but wacky weapons are what keep hunt fun so stop trying to nerf it into the dirt so the only weapons used are long ammo bolt action and shotgun. What kind of game is hunt? Serious question because I think you want the game to be something else
Biggest issue with the Avtomat is that it's goofy, ahistorical, and doesn't fit the setting in the slightest. I don't even care that much about the lack of balance. I just hate looking at the obnoxious turd, and for me, it's easier to accept a voodoo zombie outbreak than hearing automatic weapons fire in the 1890s.
I always thought that there would be nice to have a perk of maybe weapon variant that says you will carry more bullets of your weapon with you, and/or perk, that makes you grab more ammo from ammo boxes. Because of that winfield centennial problem and things that you’re obliged to take medium pistol just for bullets alone. But then I thought about avtomat and the day gods of hunt turning rouge (like rachta here. Imagine him playing avto on a daily basis) - well, maybe make it only a weapon variant…? Idk
I uninstalled the game for this reason. Had 6 games in a row where we ran into avto teams (some we won, some we lost) so we all went avto double sparks. We wiped the whole server without seeing a single person. Killed all 9 with wall bangs as they came for us at bounty. It's a stupid meta. I don't think the pistol is an issue with any other gun so I agree, make avto count as special ammo (or just remove it since it's a dumb gun to have in the game to begin with)
Doubt it will ever be removed since it has skins. In over 800 hours on PC I've seen it used maybe 10 times. That being said it's definitely not a gun that I think should of been added to the game considering what else is available. I also think changing it to special ammo is the fix for this load out.
I doubt anyone would complain for very long if they just removed the avto, and the few people that would complain probably just got too used to spending 1.5k on a gun that practically guarantees at least 1 kill
Sure, make it special ammo - but more importantly, give the Avto as well as all semi-auto weapons (Dolch, C&K, Bornheim) a chance to exhibit a type of malfunction during cycling. Failure to feed, failure to fire etc. Something that forces the player to press the reload key in order to correct the malfunction. Same thing with levering for that matter - Cycling a weapon that expels a spent casing that quickly is bound to cause a casing to get stuck in the breach at least some of the time... Everyone knows that higher rate of fire is a very strong contender when it comes to winning engagements. It's why the Nagant Officer is actually quite a strong weapon. And while the Officer is strong, it doesn't feel overly powerful because the rate of fire feels balanced. IMO anything with an excessively high rate of fire, should come with a balanced amount of drawbacks - rather than simply being a straight buff. (I'm looking at you Terminus/Levering)

It’s always the salty uninstallers that get mad at the avto existing. Been playing for 2yrs and never had a problem killing avto users even now, either stay far away from them with a sniper or camp with a shotty it’s literally that easy. Avto has always been overpowered, now it's just being highlighted by sparks pistol. Also now with Mr Chary any chimp can buy one at the end of the day, money ain't even a problem anymore. There are many, MANY ways to nerf it : special ammo only, reload speed, recoil, sway, etc. The Dolch was nerfed, why not this nonsense ???
If someone is using it for the first time I doubt they’d even hit the building your in. New players using it is the worst argument I’ve heard so far. I get how it’s crazy if you base your whole load out around it but I don’t see that as a reason to nerf. Have you honestly used the gun? The people complaining seem like they haven’t touched the avto with a ten foot pole

When I play it (meaning I'm tired of getting owned by one), I mostly get 4 to 6 kills and it just acknowledges even more to me the fact that this weapon has nothing to do in this game. I've played competitive/multiplayer games for 15 years, developers almost ALWAYS balance their games looking at the highest skilled players meta, because like anything in life it trickles down to lower ranks/mmr and it's how meta evolves. I know Hunt ain't such a game like CS or LoL/HotS, but managing the meta/nerfs/buffs regarding the lowest skill base players is an idiotic thing to do. Just like when they were going on about "Dolch is only 2%", just ignoring it HAD to be nerfed.

You can find special ammo boxes but they give about two or three rounds for all weapons and they’re pretty uncommon. I only started using it a couple months before serpent moon but It has already been remade and nerfed in the past. People don’t care because they think it shouldn’t be in the game when it’s is so that’s my whole tism fit

It was always meta, thats why they nerfed it already so many times, atleast before if you played it with dual uppercut you had to empty it out to be most effective with it.
Medium range is kinda op , very difficult to counteract unless your opponent is a completely awful shot. The guys I have played generally very good shots and is weird to have such a weapon in a game like this....
without OP weapons, players would have no desire to win a game. Like what's the point of winning and earning money if there's no OP things that they would be able to enjoy?

Hmmm... this seems weird, I've noticed the avtomat being used a bit more. But it is still just a difficult gun to use as it was before and it is a huge investment, it should have high price high possible reward. I still find that when I bring it, I just get headshotted by a winnie or something stupid like that anyway. Is it really that buffed because everybody is using it now? I say just leave it alone, if we still have a problem with it in like 3 months, then let's do something. but 35 days after we get it seems a bit soon to hastily say, "make it special ammo, with a max reserve of 15 bullets." Gotta disagree with Rachta on this one.
Edit: explained better the Uppercut only being better at ammo load in gun over Sparks pistol. Agreed, before this event Automat was a trolling gun. Sure, you get some kills but there is a meme about shutting up the automat player as soon as it shows up at bounty by a sniper. Automat is now being viable due to the ammo but dual Uppercuts has always been a thing since Duals got introduced and people didn't abuse Automat. Why? Because Uppercut is $275 per gun and they bumped to that price because 4~ months ago the Uppercut had become a problem, everyone was spamming Uppercuts and not using anything else outside maybe a Dolch. So they bumped prices and added Scottfield as "meaty" pistol to stop the Uppercut spam. Before that it didn't occur to people because Automat is unwieldy. So 275 x2 and then 1125(1175?) for Automat...yeah, it's no Dolches but- Automat but it's very cost inefficient. There, I said it. The new Spark pistol is $155 a piece, $120 less than an Uppercut for a better gun that only lacks ammo loaded into the gun, but for Automat that's good emptying them out...bruh I looked at the ammo difference between Uppercut and Sparks pistol and it's only 2 extra bullets per gun (I remember in favor for the Uppercut but Rachta is saying here its Sparks pistol) So to me it's not Automat but Crytek adding new guns without forethought, look the game reached a balance peak back when the Dolch was nerfed and now anything that gets added breaks the game in some way. As the saying goes don't fix what's not broken. Lastly, I think Rachta and Hornet fail to realize that they are trend setters for this game. Whatever load they come up with the dudes watching copy it and then it becomes a "spam problem"

I think the most reliable way to make the gun seem less oppressive would be to remove the speed loader. Make it so you have to load one bullet at a time and the gun's ability to just shit out bullets is considerably more limited, while still being incredibly strong.
Actually you could get 30 reserve with dual uppercut, u just had to empty both uppercuts in the game at some point then loot more ammo, and you got up to 30 in reserve as long as u didnt reload the pistols. But this is technically more effecient. So avto hasnt changed at all with sparks pistol, just your perception of it.
@@Edelstxin you do realize you can make this argument with every gun in the game right? Yea you loot more per box now, but If you have enough time to find ammo boxes you essentially have “infinite ammo” (using the term infinite loosely) with any gun. It’s just a weak argument to make against the avto. You literally have to build your entire loadout around it for it to even be useful on top of it being the most expensive weapon in the game by a long shot. No other gun is like that.
@@clownworld4655 The Match is also like that, you need to bring duel pistols of the same ammo type to use it super effectively, else you end up running out after one or two fights. But, the issue here is that the Avto used to have a massive price tag alongside its insane power- to effectively make use of it, you needed to have an Avto and two uppercuts. Unload those uppercuts, then use an ammo box. Now, you can bring two sparks pistols, which are immensely cheaper, don't need to be unloaded to provide a ton of ammo so you get it out of the box, and it provides more reserve ammo even if you unload uppercuts because ammo refills are based on reserve ammo. For instance, you can be completely out of ammo on a Mosin and a Lebel, but the Lebel will get less from boxes, even though they have the same cap of ammo. Saying that having time to find ammo boxes means you have infinite ammo anyway doesn't really make sense, theres limited ammo boxes on the map and being able to get double the ammo out of a single box instead of needing to find multiple is VERY different. Also, you get A LOT more out of looting other guns with two sparks pistols, because the same rules apply. If you pick up an uppercut then put it back down, you'll usually take every reserve round that uppercut had with the sparks as your secondary, whereas you'll hit your cap before that with an uppercut yourself, if you already have rounds. The effectiveness of ammo supply is crazy high with the sparks pistols over the uppercut, on top of it being cheaper, on top of not needing to waste ammo and find an ammo crate at the start to 'prep'. I don't think the Avto is as broken as people make it out to be in lower tier lobbies, but it definitely got a massive buff with sparks pistols, without a doubt.
With the sparks pistol the Avto feels a bit strong indeed. But we should not forget that this beast costs over 1k dollar and you ususally don't see it THAT often. Also you win the fight against a close combat Avto when you use a shotgun (probably even with slugs)
I agree with this. Not only is the Avto crazy expensive but has a large unlock tree. Also you need to have Quartermaster which requires 6 points AND you have to buy two pistols and a couple ammo boxes. If my math is right the ballpark cost of this loadout would be about $1,700. I don't know about you but I don't have that kind of money. Even if you were to server wipe I think it would be hard to recoup a cost like that. Last but not lest you could get sniped before you even fire the thing and then you are out all that money. In my not so humble opinion this is not a loadout for the average joe hunter

Oh boy. Avto is gonna be the new Cain. Weekly complains about it from the community are about to begin. The dual uppercuts have always been what you carry with this. 30 extra rounds with empty pistols and got plenty back. Plus you carry ammo boxes. So besides price literally nothing changed except the amount of ammo you need to recover after dumping the uppercuts at the beginning.
I have to agree. I rarely come across this loadout. When I do, unless they're aimbots which thankfully isn't too common with avtomat, it rarely makes a big difference. They usually play loud, and I just avoid them or tap heads. Nothing like a Nagant Precision to ruin the rich guy's day.
literally, it's the same thing. The only thing that changes is that it's 240 dollars cheaper i guess, which doesn't make that much of a difference if you're willing to spend the money for an avtomat loadout
@@aimetek can I just say, if youre good at the game, anything is broken. The avto has enough drawbacks that it’s not always practical. Including a crazy price tag. Most 6 star matches I enter end up with long ammo rifles. That’s the real spam in my opinion. Avto’s in a good place I think. Most people are spray and pray anyways. Heck because of the speed of the terminus now you’re more likely to get floored by one even at med. range now. I’ve seen way more terminuses than avtos. They’re more ridiculous (once again, in my opinion).
It's worth noting that the ammo pickup is relative to your total ammo pool, not just the bullets in reserve. So the same pickups would happen with uppercuts in tow. In addition, you can pick up ammo for reserve that you don't have in clip. Ergo, if you empty your uppercuts, your reserves for each can become 15. A build I ran before this update included simply 2 uppercuts which I would empty immediately (at the cost of revealing my position early in the round) and then not loading them and just switching to the avtomat. After pickups, you'd have 2 full backup clips, 15/+30. All adding the sparks single-handed to the game did to change this build was lower the amount of bullets I wasted early in the game. It's shitty to reveal your position on purpose early on, as well as loosing some information about it, but the avtomat with 2 backup clips more than made up for this. LMG in the bayou babyyy.
People are complaining about avto, but it became a problem because of sparks pistol. Literally nothing changed with avto, sparks pistol ruined it. Moan about the braindead meta pistol if you want to moan. Lower its reserve ammo count and whooplaa.
Avto dual uppercut gives the same amount of reserve ammo, except it costs a bit more and you need to empty the uppercuts. If that isn't OP, neither is avto sparks pistols.
@@cassidy8307 A few times before the Sparks Pistol, heard nonstop uppercut shots and me and my buddies would giggle "someone brought an avto". Loses its impact when it's not longer a surprise, and just becomes a regular weapon.
This has always been possible with dual uppercuts. Spare ammo takes total ammo amount into account, if you empty the uppercuts you get the exact same amount of spare ammo as dual sparks pistols. The only buff from sparks is that it is easier to empty them and they are cheaper than uppercut Edit: I have uploaded the clips comparing sparks to uppercuts

Yeah from what I understand, ammo resupply amount only takes into account what the total reserve amount is when you first spawn in, ie emptying dual uppercuts has no effect on the amount resupplied. This puts the reserve amount for dual uppercuts and avto at 18. Where sparks pair is 28
Uppercut and slugs. Everything's fine. Avto, quartermaster, ammo box and dual sparks pistols. Everyone loses their minds. You're recoil control with that thing is insane dude. Nice showcase.
This is actually the same ammo pool using uppercuts. You just had to unload the uppercuts at the first ammo cart you found before. Sparks pistols are 14+1 each. Giving you 30 reserve ammo if you fire the single shot from both. Uppercuts are 6+9 each, also adding up to 30 reserve ammo. The only real buffs here are not having to fire off so many rounds for the extra ammo, (typically if i heard 12 uppercut shots, i knew somone had an avto) and sparks pistols are cheaper if you lose your kit.
I think part of the solution is totally removing ammo box deployables from the game. They only get used to support cheesy playstyles like pure spitzer, avto, explosive crossbow, fmj or incendiary winfield, nitro. You could balance these guns so much more easily without ammo boxes.

It's stronger now, but at the same time it is still the avto. It still has the same flaws that it had in the past, it uses ammo very quickly, it has terrible effective range, and its expensive as heck.
Expensive yes, terrible range not really it excels at compound range, the same range the winnie excels at basically. Uses ammo quickly? Well that is now negligible thanks to the sparks pistol indirect buff. You can basically crush with the avto at any range except actual long ammo rifle range.
Ngl I've never seen anyone do good with this except on PC. 1 less weapon in the bayou will make it easier to guess what's brought tho. (Basic shotgun upper, mosin dolch, exbow)

Ammo and price are horrible ways to balance a weapon. It does nothing to change the weapon and it’s ability to kill or not kill someone. Personally, I have hated the avtomat since it was added… buuuut, making it have less reserve ammo is just an inconvenience and does nothing to make your chances of dying to the avtomat in combat any less. And increasing the price of a gun does nothing but keep it out of the hands of a casual player. The hunt economy is a joke anyway, it’s absurd that half of the players rarely get to use expensive guns simply because they are expensive. When you pay $2,000 for a loadout, you are statistically making an awful investment. Especially because you can kill people just as easily (if not more) with a $20-$100 gun, and NOT have to extract multiple bounties to make a profit on your loadout. I don’t have a solution but I sure would love to see more weapon variety in matches.
This issue also touches on the fact that dualwield reserve ammo is insane in general. Like Hunt departed from realism a long time ago but holding double the ammo because you have double the guns isn't really how that works especially when it comes to higher caliber weapons. Not even to mention how dual wield IRL is not now, nor was it ever a viable thing.

I don't think having similar ammo to someone using an uppercut or two and just...firing them off....is much of a "Game breaking buff" and honestly think it's just silly to act like THAT is what makes it too strong of all things.

Fun fact: if your running Avto, and you have 1 bullet left, that bullet with have no "RNG" it will hit exactly where your reticle is placed (travel time included obv.)
Absolutely agree. Avto used to be gamble loadout because bullet cap. Now with 2 sparks pistols its frustrating how many people play this game like call of duty. Peak gameplay for hunt is still high power/low fire rate guns ( and it's most satisfactory) i wish they nerf it soon. Make it special ammo or super limit ammo cap on avto
money is not a problem once players realize prestiging is pointless given how they make the system so theres no enforcement to change peoples economy so these builds are rampant in 4-6 stars lol
I disagree with making it special ammo, the problem isn't that it's long ammo, it's that ammo replenishing is based on how many shots are in reserve by default instead of the total bullets. Imo they should nerf this combo by making resupply amounts be based on maximum shots rather than reserve shots, and give the avto a special property that makes it replenish something like 70% less long ammo at resupply points if you have it, that way a similar problem won't happen as easily with other combinations of weapons in the future, if they want the main downside of a weapon to be ammo supply, they can give it that property instead of making it special ammo.
for that you need to rewrite the whole code around ammo pool and resuply ... never they will do it ... making avto special ammo will balance it very well

It'll be better than it currently is sure, but it'll require future weapons to either not use ammo supply as a balancing factor, or to make certain weapons use "special ammo" even though they should technically use the same type of ammo as another preexisting weapon, causing their weapons to be less accurate to real life, which, they at least somewhat seem to want to keep weapons very similar to real life counterparts

Not a popular opinion: But I feel weapons like the Avto and Dolch should entirely be nothing but very rare world-spawn weapons- and not something anyone can just buy in the store. Maybe theyre just super low rate around the map, maybe they only spawn at a specific location towards the center of the map (as a point of interest hunters can utilize that encourages encounters between hunters), maybe introduce a new mini-boss mob (similar to meat heads) that has a chance to drop it upon death as a reward. Either way- I dont feel weapons like this should be "bought".

I mean I’d be fine with the Avto being special ammo ONLY if it became it’s own variant weapon. I love the iron sights of the Avto. I love the way the gun sounds. I’d use the shit out of a semi auto version. Make the full auto an unlockable variant like the mosin sniper is to the mosin.
Sure the avto has burst but its recoil is nuts. But to be fair they really should have just put this weapon under the special weapon category and then special ammo would only work with it.
I still think Dolch should return with medium ammo, i don't see a problem with this buff, because I play hunt from the beta and almost never saw someone with dolch or nitro in these months because they buffed the damage of small bullets and people use small caliber guns
I suggest a stylish way of nerfing avtomat with special ammo and reload speed - to reload avtomat hunter need to change the steaming hot barrel to a new one. So, you will need an extra special ammo box for each reload. It will justify in-game the need for special ammo box, while bullets are the same as usual Mosin. Also, it will make partial reloads nonexistent. Need to buff spare ammo count, though. Avtomat will still be viable if you choose to take a lot of ammo boxes with you, but way less so as now - nerfing it to double uppercut times ammo supply or even slightly less.
How about limiting the amount of extra ammo reserve you have with certain loadouts? So instead of it giving you the full amount of ammo reserve of all of the guns you're carrying, there could be an upper threshold for it.
You could also lower the spare ammo of the sparks pistol to match the uppercut, it brings down the amount of ammo recovered to pre-sparky state for some semblance of balance without nerfing it into the ground
Pro tip, if you shoot all your uppercut ammo and resupply, you get the same amount of total ammo as two empty sparks pistols. It's really a matter of convenience. Before the sparks pistols me and my friends would instantly know if an avto was in the game if we heard a lot of uppercut shots.
Special ammo would absolutely destroy the weapon and might be too heavy handed. It would become a true meme weapon at that point. I'm not sure how they should nerf but I do think it needs to be dialed back somehow. And they shouldn't touch the sparks pistol either.
People complaining about the Avto really didn't know it BEFORE the major nerf it got, when it used to be some years ago a 2-shot burst with even less recoil! It was so damn good that playing offensively with it I already managed to do a 42 KILL STREAK! Then I died to some stupid Tier 1 rushing in a doorway with the sword. I personally prefer to run it with only 1 Spark Pistol so that way not only it cost less but I can have much more range and precision if I need to engage the fight from further away or finish off someone running away when my Avto needs to be reloaded. To be fair I've never bought one but whenever I kill a guy with an Avto, you can be sure I'll pick it up! To me Nitro bleeding, coward snipers 200m away, shotgun campers in corners or dual pistol spammers headshoting you 50m away without aiming is MUCH more annoying!
You need so much money to run that loadout and even if u do u suffer from long range and at close range there are better options also having ammo boxes takes slots from comsumables that might be more usefull. Overall it needs practise, money, quartermaster and its not that realible either.Even if i had millions i wouldnt spend the money for avto it has so much rng
Why Avto special ammo?
- Currently most "end game weapons/out of place weapons" like Dolch, nitro are special ammo
- When you fight avtomat, you should be able to play the fight for the avtomat to run out of ammo. That's currently not possible if you run this load out + ammo boxes
- Special Ammo would allow more balancing (right now it has 1:1 Mosin stats)
- Avto being special ammo would allow more loadouts you can run it with (right now it doesn't make sense to run Avto without secondary that brings more ammo)

I would make it very expensive, like 5k per Avto or something. They should be rare. For me; every time I hear a Avto it's like the round gained a mini-Boss and the Avto is the reward for beating it.

They’re not that hard to beat. You usually hear them before you see them and can distance accordingly. Haven’t been seeing too many anyway but I play on console so that might explain it.

@@elliottanderson7974 thats exactly what they should do to balance it😅 at the current state everybody can spray and pray as long as they want because its easy to resupply, if they make the ammo more valuable, you have to pick your fights and you have to get good with it so you dont need to use a mag per kill, that would make the avtomat stay as strong as it is, but harder to use in the long run because you have to split up your ammo to get through the match.

It is by far the most oppressive weapon to be up against, especially when a whole team is running it. The recoil is really not that hard to get a handle on, and its pretty reliable up to like 40m. This is one of the biggest misconceptions about the avto that I hear people repeat constantly, "it's just an expensive shotgun". No the avto has shotgun range beat by a significant amount, even slug range. It's biggest weakness -- the rng factor -- can also be a benefit in the hands of a lower skill player. At the end of the day do you want to be against a squad of avto users or a squad of nitro users? For me avto is way scarier because I know they don't really have to be that good with the weapon to kill me, as opposed to the nitro.
I'm a console player (might be different advice I'm asking) and I recognize you can't really play hunt showdown like you usually do but when shooting do you focus on strafing or pulling down on the recoil?
I've had the opposite experience. Recoil is huge and reliability sucks even at close range. I'd rather have a nitro any day.

Actual the game needs more wacky weapons. You guys are crying because when someone else uses it you die instantly but when I use it omg I can’t hit anything. I’m good with avto but I get destroyed by shotgun or longer range guys, it’s not a magic weapon. I don’t think we need more avtomats but wacky weapons are what keep hunt fun so stop trying to nerf it into the dirt so the only weapons used are long ammo bolt action and shotgun. Biggest issue with the Avtomat is that it's goofy, ahistorical, and doesn't fit the setting in the slightest.
I don't even care that much about the lack of balance. I just hate looking at the obnoxious turd, and for me, it's easier to accept a voodoo zombie outbreak than hearing automatic weapons fire in the 1890s.

Because of that winfield centennial problem and things that you’re obliged to take medium pistol just for bullets alone. But then I thought about avtomat and the day gods of hunt turning rouge (like rachta here. Imagine him playing avto on a daily basis) - well, maybe make it only a weapon variant…? Idk

I uninstalled the game for this reason. Had 6 games in a row where we ran into avto teams (some we won, some we lost) so we all went avto double sparks. We wiped the whole server without seeing a single person. Killed all 9 with wall bangs as they came for us at bounty. It's a stupid meta. I don't think the pistol is an issue with any other gun so I agree, make avto count as special ammo (or just remove it since it's a dumb gun to have in the game to begin with)
Doubt it will ever be removed since it has skins. In over 800 hours on PC I've seen it used maybe 10 times. That being said it's definitely not a gun that I think should of been added to the game considering what else is available. I also think changing it to special ammo is the fix for this load out.
I doubt anyone would complain for very long if they just removed the avto, and the few people that would complain probably just got too used to spending 1.5k on a gun that practically guarantees at least 1 kill
Sure, make it special ammo - but more importantly, give the Avto as well as all semi-auto weapons (Dolch, C&K, Bornheim) a chance to exhibit a type of malfunction during cycling. Failure to feed, failure to fire etc. Something that forces the player to press the reload key in order to correct the malfunction. Same thing with levering for that matter - Cycling a weapon that expels a spent casing that quickly is bound to cause a casing to get stuck in the breach at least some of the time...
Everyone knows that higher rate of fire is a very strong contender when it comes to winning engagements. It's why the Nagant Officer is actually quite a strong weapon. And while the Officer is strong, it doesn't feel overly powerful because the rate of fire feels balanced. IMO anything with an excessively high rate of fire, should come with a balanced amount of drawbacks - rather than simply being a straight buff.

When I play it (meaning I'm tired of getting owned by one), I mostly get 4 to 6 kills and it just acknowledges even more to me the fact that this weapon has nothing to do in this game.
I've played competitive/multiplayer games for 15 years, developers almost ALWAYS balance their games looking at the highest skilled players meta, because like anything in life it trickles down to lower ranks/mmr and it's how meta evolves.
I know Hunt ain't such a game like CS or LoL/HotS, but managing the meta/nerfs/buffs regarding the lowest skill base players is an idiotic thing to do.
Just like when they were going on about "Dolch is only 2%", just ignoring it HAD to be nerfed.

I only started using it a couple months before serpent moon but It has already been remade and nerfed in the past. Medium range is kinda op , very difficult to counteract unless your opponent is a completely awful shot. The guys I have played generally very good shots and is weird to have such a weapon in a game like this....
without OP weapons, players would have no desire to win a game. Like what's the point of winning and earning money if there's no OP things that they would be able to enjoy?

Hmmm... this seems weird, I've noticed the avtomat being used a bit more. But it is still just a difficult gun to use as it was before and it is a huge investment, it should have high price high possible reward. I still find that when I bring it, I just get headshotted by a winnie or something stupid like that anyway. Is it really that buffed because everybody is using it now? I say just leave it alone, if we still have a problem with it in like 3 months, then let's do something. but 35 days after we get it seems a bit soon to hastily say, "make it special ammo, with a max reserve of 15 bullets." Gotta disagree with Rachta on this one.

Agreed, before this event Automat was a trolling gun. Sure, you get some kills but there is a meme about shutting up the automat player as soon as it shows up at bounty by a sniper.
Automat is now being viable due to the ammo but dual Uppercuts has always been a thing since Duals got introduced and people didn't abuse Automat. Why? Because Uppercut is $275 per gun and they bumped to that price because 4~ months ago the Uppercut had become a problem, everyone was spamming Uppercuts and not using anything else outside maybe a Dolch. So they bumped prices and added Scottfield as "meaty" pistol to stop the Uppercut spam. Before that it didn't occur to people because Automat is unwieldy.
So 275 x2 and then 1125(1175?) for Automat...yeah, it's no Dolches but- Automat but it's very cost inefficient. There, I said it.
The new Spark pistol is $155 a piece, $120 less than an Uppercut for a better gun that only lacks ammo loaded into the gun, but for Automat that's good emptying them out...bruh
I looked at the ammo difference between Uppercut and Sparks pistol and it's only 2 extra bullets per gun (I remember in favor for the Uppercut but Rachta is saying here its Sparks pistol)
So to me it's not Automat but Crytek adding new guns without forethought, look the game reached a balance peak back when the Dolch was nerfed and now anything that gets added breaks the game in some way. As the saying goes don't fix what's not broken.
Lastly, I think Rachta and Hornet fail to realize that they are trend setters for this game. Whatever load they come up with the dudes watching copy it and then it becomes a "spam problem"

i have like 6 avtos in storage each i got from killing a player and i keep finding more, i don't really have to buy it most of the time
I think the most reliable way to make the gun seem less oppressive would be to remove the speed loader. Make it so you have to load one bullet at a time and the gun's ability to just shit out bullets is considerably more limited, while still being incredibly strong.
Actually you could get 30 reserve with dual uppercut, u just had to empty both uppercuts in the game at some point then loot more ammo, and you got up to 30 in reserve as long as u didnt reload the pistols. But this is technically more effecient.
So avto hasnt changed at all with sparks pistol, just your perception of it.
But i did change my man u loot way more bullets out of a amo box or special amo box brought with u than with 2 uppercuts
@@Edelstxin you do realize you can make this argument with every gun in the game right? Yea you loot more per box now, but If you have enough time to find ammo boxes you essentially have “infinite ammo” (using the term infinite loosely) with any gun. It’s just a weak argument to make against the avto. You literally have to build your entire loadout around it for it to even be useful on top of it being the most expensive weapon in the game by a long shot. No other gun is like that.

@@clownworld4655 The Match is also like that, you need to bring duel pistols of the same ammo type to use it super effectively, else you end up running out after one or two fights. But, the issue here is that the Avto used to have a massive price tag alongside its insane power- to effectively make use of it, you needed to have an Avto and two uppercuts. Unload those uppercuts, then use an ammo box. Now, you can bring two sparks pistols, which are immensely cheaper, don't need to be unloaded to provide a ton of ammo so you get it out of the box, and it provides more reserve ammo even if you unload uppercuts because ammo refills are based on reserve ammo. For instance, you can be completely out of ammo on a Mosin and a Lebel, but the Lebel will get less from boxes, even though they have the same cap of ammo. Saying that having time to find ammo boxes means you have infinite ammo anyway doesn't really make sense, theres limited ammo boxes on the map and being able to get double the ammo out of a single box instead of needing to find multiple is VERY different. Also, you get A LOT more out of looting other guns with two sparks pistols, because the same rules apply. If you pick up an uppercut then put it back down, you'll usually take every reserve round that uppercut had with the sparks as your secondary, whereas you'll hit your cap before that with an uppercut yourself, if you already have rounds. The effectiveness of ammo supply is crazy high with the sparks pistols over the uppercut, on top of it being cheaper, on top of not needing to waste ammo and find an ammo crate at the start to 'prep'.
I don't think the Avto is as broken as people make it out to be in lower tier lobbies, but it definitely got a massive buff with sparks pistols, without a doubt.
I prefer just one sparks pistol reserve, so I can at least reliably snipe with something.

With the sparks pistol the Avto feels a bit strong indeed. But we should not forget that this beast costs over 1k dollar and you ususally don't see it THAT often. Also you win the fight against a close combat Avto when you use a shotgun (probably even with slugs)
I agree with this. Not only is the Avto crazy expensive but has a large unlock tree. Also you need to have Quartermaster which requires 6 points AND you have to buy two pistols and a couple ammo boxes. If my math is right the ballpark cost of this loadout would be about $1,700. I don't know about you but I don't have that kind of money. Even if you were to server wipe I think it would be hard to recoup a cost like that. Last but not lest you could get sniped before you even fire the thing and then you are out all that money. In my not so humble opinion this is not a loadout for the average joe hunter

Oh boy. Avto is gonna be the new Cain. Weekly complains about it from the community are about to begin. The dual uppercuts have always been what you carry with this. 30 extra rounds with empty pistols and got plenty back. Plus you carry ammo boxes. So besides price literally nothing changed except the amount of ammo you need to recover after dumping the uppercuts at the beginning.
I have to agree. I rarely come across this loadout. When I do, unless they're aimbots which thankfully isn't too common with avtomat, it rarely makes a big difference. They usually play loud, and I just avoid them or tap heads. Nothing like a Nagant Precision to ruin the rich guy's day.

Most 6 star matches I enter end up with long ammo rifles. That’s the real spam in my opinion. Avto’s in a good place I think. Most people are spray and pray anyways. Heck because of the speed of the terminus now you’re more likely to get floored by one even at med. range now. I’ve seen way more terminuses than avtos. They’re more ridiculous (once again, in my opinion).

It's worth noting that the ammo pickup is relative to your total ammo pool, not just the bullets in reserve. So the same pickups would happen with uppercuts in tow. In addition, you can pick up ammo for reserve that you don't have in clip. Ergo, if you empty your uppercuts, your reserves for each can become 15. A build I ran before this update included simply 2 uppercuts which I would empty immediately (at the cost of revealing my position early in the round) and then not loading them and just switching to the avtomat. After pickups, you'd have 2 full backup clips, 15/+30. All adding the sparks single-handed to the game did to change this build was lower the amount of bullets I wasted early in the game.
It's shitty to reveal your position on purpose early on, as well as loosing some information about it, but the avtomat with 2 backup clips more than made up for this. LMG in the bayou babyyy.
People are complaining about avto, but it became a problem because of sparks pistol. Literally nothing changed with avto, sparks pistol ruined it. Moan about the braindead meta pistol if you want to moan.

Avto dual uppercut gives the same amount of reserve ammo, except it costs a bit more and you need to empty the uppercuts. If that isn't OP, neither is avto sparks pistols.
@@cassidy8307 A few times before the Sparks Pistol, heard nonstop uppercut shots and me and my buddies would giggle "someone brought an avto". Loses its impact when it's not longer a surprise, and just becomes a regular weapon.
Sparks pistol is nowhere near meta. It's just very useful
This has always been possible with dual uppercuts. Spare ammo takes total ammo amount into account, if you empty the uppercuts you get the exact same amount of spare ammo as dual sparks pistols. The only buff from sparks is that it is easier to empty them and they are cheaper than uppercut

Yeah from what I understand, ammo resupply amount only takes into account what the total reserve amount is when you first spawn in, ie emptying dual uppercuts has no effect on the amount resupplied. This puts the reserve amount for dual uppercuts and avto at 18. Where sparks pair is 28

There's nothing more tilting than getting two tapped by an Avtomat at like 40 - 50 meters.
Getting random headshot from dual wielding is 10x more tilting imo. At least the Avto guy has to ADS and aim for real and control some recoil.

This is actually the same ammo pool using uppercuts. You just had to unload the uppercuts at the first ammo cart you found before. Sparks pistols are 14+1 each. Giving you 30 reserve ammo if you fire the single shot from both. Uppercuts are 6+9 each, also adding up to 30 reserve ammo. The only real buffs here are not having to fire off so many rounds for the extra ammo, (typically if i heard 12 uppercut shots, i knew somone had an avto) and sparks pistols are cheaper if you lose your kit.

I think part of the solution is totally removing ammo box deployables from the game. They only get used to support cheesy playstyles like pure spitzer, avto, explosive crossbow, fmj or incendiary winfield, nitro. You could balance these guns so much more easily without ammo boxes.

It's stronger now, but at the same time it is still the avto. It still has the same flaws that it had in the past, it uses ammo very quickly, it has terrible effective range, and its expensive as heck.
Expensive yes, terrible range not really it excels at compound range, the same range the winnie excels at basically. Uses ammo quickly? Well that is now negligible thanks to the sparks pistol indirect buff. You can basically crush with the avto at any range except actual long ammo rifle range.
Ngl I've never seen anyone do good with this except on PC. 1 less weapon in the bayou will make it easier to guess what's brought tho. (Basic shotgun upper, mosin dolch, exbow)

Ammo and price are horrible ways to balance a weapon. It does nothing to change the weapon and it’s ability to kill or not kill someone. Personally, I have hated the avtomat since it was added… buuuut, making it have less reserve ammo is just an inconvenience and does nothing to make your chances of dying to the avtomat in combat any less. And increasing the price of a gun does nothing but keep it out of the hands of a casual player.
The hunt economy is a joke anyway, it’s absurd that half of the players rarely get to use expensive guns simply because they are expensive. When you pay $2,000 for a loadout, you are statistically making an awful investment. Especially because you can kill people just as easily (if not more) with a $20-$100 gun, and NOT have to extract multiple bounties to make a profit on your loadout. I don’t have a solution but I sure would love to see more weapon variety in matches.
Longer reload time would be ideal balancing for it imo.

This issue also touches on the fact that dualwield reserve ammo is insane in general. Like Hunt departed from realism a long time ago but holding double the ammo because you have double the guns isn't really how that works especially when it comes to higher caliber weapons. Not even to mention how dual wield IRL is not now, nor was it ever a viable thing.
fair but like the game is literally about killing zombies and banishing demons, the realism argument doesn't really work. However the dual wield sparks is pretty op in terms of ammo.

Absolutely agree. Avto used to be gamble loadout because bullet cap. Now with 2 sparks pistols its frustrating how many people play this game like call of duty. Peak gameplay for hunt is still high power/low fire rate guns ( and it's most satisfactory) i wish they nerf it soon. Make it special ammo or super limit ammo cap on avto
The thing is this loadout is very expensive and you need quartermaster so its not like people are going to run it every game
money is not a problem once players realize prestiging is pointless given how they make the system so theres no enforcement to change peoples economy so these builds are rampant in 4-6 stars lol

I disagree with making it special ammo, the problem isn't that it's long ammo, it's that ammo replenishing is based on how many shots are in reserve by default instead of the total bullets. Imo they should nerf this combo by making resupply amounts be based on maximum shots rather than reserve shots, and give the avto a special property that makes it replenish something like 70% less long ammo at resupply points if you have it, that way a similar problem won't happen as easily with other combinations of weapons in the future, if they want the main downside of a weapon to be ammo supply, they can give it that property instead of making it special ammo.
for that you need to rewrite the whole code around ammo pool and resuply ... never they will do it ... making avto special ammo will balance it very well

It is a converted Mosin-Nagant rifle, it's bullets have the same stats, but it is rather inaccurate so the real effective range would be shorter

If you shot your Uppercuts empty in the past, you had the same amount of reserve ammo that you can have now with the Sparks Pistols.

Not a popular opinion: But I feel weapons like the Avto and Dolch should entirely be nothing but very rare world-spawn weapons- and not something anyone can just buy in the store. Maybe theyre just super low rate around the map, maybe they only spawn at a specific location towards the center of the map (as a point of interest hunters can utilize that encourages encounters between hunters), maybe introduce a new mini-boss mob (similar to meat heads) that has a chance to drop it upon death as a reward. Either way- I dont feel weapons like this should be "bought".

I’ve been suggesting week after week PLEASE FFS make Avto special ammo. Like that people can’t fucking spam like it is call of duty and can’t refill their Avto with a single loot of a single ammo box.
I mean I’d be fine with the Avto being special ammo ONLY if it became it’s own variant weapon. I love the iron sights of the Avto. I love the way the gun sounds. I’d use the shit out of a semi auto version. Make the full auto an unlockable variant like the mosin sniper is to the mosin.

Sure the avto has burst but its recoil is nuts. But to be fair they really should have just put this weapon under the special weapon category and then special ammo would only work with it.
I still think Dolch should return with medium ammo, i don't see a problem with this buff, because I play hunt from the beta and almost never saw someone with dolch or nitro in these months because they buffed the damage of small bullets and people use small caliber guns
I suggest a stylish way of nerfing avtomat with special ammo and reload speed - to reload avtomat hunter need to change the steaming hot barrel to a new one.
So, you will need an extra special ammo box for each reload.
It will justify in-game the need for special ammo box, while bullets are the same as usual Mosin.
Also, it will make partial reloads nonexistent.
Need to buff spare ammo count, though. Avtomat will still be viable if you choose to take a lot of ammo boxes with you, but way less so as now - nerfing it to double uppercut times ammo supply or even slightly less.

It wouldnt be realistic at all though, you need to literally fire way more rounds than 15 through a mosin barrel to get it to a "burst point"

How about limiting the amount of extra ammo reserve you have with certain loadouts? So instead of it giving you the full amount of ammo reserve of all of the guns you're carrying, there could be an upper threshold for it.

You could also lower the spare ammo of the sparks pistol to match the uppercut, it brings down the amount of ammo recovered to pre-sparky state for some semblance of balance without nerfing it into the ground
Pro tip, if you shoot all your uppercut ammo and resupply, you get the same amount of total ammo as two empty sparks pistols. It's really a matter of convenience. Before the sparks pistols me and my friends would instantly know if an avto was in the game if we heard a lot of uppercut shots.
Special ammo would absolutely destroy the weapon and might be too heavy handed. It would become a true meme weapon at that point. I'm not sure how they should nerf but I do think it needs to be dialed back somehow. And they shouldn't touch the sparks pistol either.
Easy fix: Add weapon malfunctions. No shot these guns fire that quickly and never malfunction.

Personally I would make avtomat an end game unlock, like nitro, with it's personal unlock tree.
Honestly as it is, it's currently harder to unlock than the nitro.
People complaining about the Avto really didn't know it BEFORE the major nerf it got, when it used to be some years ago a 2-shot burst with even less recoil! It was so damn good that playing offensively with it I already managed to do a 42 KILL STREAK! Then I died to some stupid Tier 1 rushing in a doorway with the sword.
I personally prefer to run it with only 1 Spark Pistol so that way not only it cost less but I can have much more range and precision if I need to engage the fight from further away or finish off someone running away when my Avto needs to be reloaded. To be fair I've never bought one but whenever I kill a guy with an Avto, you can be sure I'll pick it up!
To me Nitro bleeding, coward snipers 200m away, shotgun campers in corners or dual pistol spammers headshoting you 50m away without aiming is MUCH more annoying!

The avtomat was a weapon that should've never existed in this game.
You need so much money to run that loadout and even if u do u suffer from long range and at close range there are better options also having ammo boxes takes slots from comsumables that might be more usefull. Overall it needs practise, money, quartermaster and its not that realible either.Even if i had millions i wouldnt spend the money for avto it has so much rng
