Peter is the reason I became a BMW technician 20 years ago. I worked with him for 1 year after 10 yrs at the dealership. He has and knows everything. So cool to see this feature!
My MK4 R32 made a small cameo! Was present when he arrived to the parking lot where we all were. He was beyond stoked to see all of the cars in his tiny town and excited to talk about and share his cars!
Holy flashback! For a second I thought that E30 Touring was the one I owned 17 years ago in Vancouver. But mine was Royalblau. Loved the self-leveling suspension, crank sunroof, tumble-folding rear seats…
Peter is my grandfather. Too bad you missed the ‘57 Beetle, custom Ghia dune buggy, built ‘66 Nova, Roadrunner, 1800 Neue Klasse, VW Bus, etc. The “mint” Subaru GL 4x4 is mine btw😂😅 (for viewers; it’s a pile of shit that I use for wheeling haha) Thanks for preserving this.
That's so cool, glad this video somehow found you! Your grandfather is an absolute legend we were honored to meet. We got to spend a bit of smidge of time with some of cars outside like the oval window… But we only had a very short window to shoot with real cameras (we have the mental images though). We'd love to get in contact for more adventures next time we're out west!
my grandma and grandpa are neighbors and good friends with Peter, I remember going over there when on vacation everyday and bugging him lol! He’s got some cool stuff
I met an old man in my town up here in NH.. has a 1972 e-3 sedan Bavaria 3.0 he purchased and imported from Germany in 1972.. almost shit one day when I ran into him

Awesome video guys
This got me back in the garage and working on my E10
That alone - makes it worth it! Good luck on the project. Your secret is safe with us, we wont tell your wife either.
The Front of the Glas reminds me of a BMW 507.
Youre spot on - that down turned nose, and some of those lines are very reminscent of one another

'They don't even know what a BMW is around here. They gotta be driving farm trucks.' Shame on these people growing food for your table!
