  • This video shows a quick setup on how to use a beer pump with a FOB ( Foam On Beer) and a Flojet Reversal valve. It also shows how this set-up requires 2 secondary regulators. One regulator for the kegged beer and the other to manage the pump pressure. This is a setup I use with commercial accounts...but beer pumps can be set up in other ways. I wanted to show how the beer pump relates to other dispensing equipment used in a draft system.

Hi thanks for the vid. Is there a reason you install the fob after the flojet? Does this cause the flojet to dry run before you get a chance to change the keg?

No, usually when a keg is cashed the fob will stop the pumping of the beer pump. As long as everything is sealed on that line and there aren't any leaks. The Beer pump will stop. Cheers

Im pretty sure if the fob comes (keg->jumper->fob->pump) before the pump, the pump will continue to cycle, buring out the pump and wasting your gas.
So always install the fob after the pump. But if you are a diy person... call a professional, there are many co2 deaths in walk in coolers.

Why would this man be connecting co2 on the push valve?

If you have a pump, you dont need blended gas, but the co2 would be to carbonate the beer... the pump is to not use blended gas (co2/nitrogen) because if you just use co2 in a long draw system, you will over saturate the beer with co2 and just get straight foam.... complete waste of product
