So after watching this video with a tuner, I noticed that everything was a half step down (he would finger a concert Eb and a concert D would sound instead) but it was perfectly in tune and had great tone. Is this just an issue with the microphones used?
Hi Thomas, sorry to hear you've encountered a problem with your euphonium. All warranty information is available via: www.jpmusicalinstruments.com/warranty-information.html
Hi, you would need the JP374T www.johnpacker.co.uk/prod/jp-sterling-trigger-euphonium-jp374 If not in the UK, then I would advise contacting your local JPMI stockist www.jpmusicalinstruments.com/stockists Hope this helps?
I read one article where they gave 374 Sterlings specs and said it was 10 lbs. My Miraphone tuba that I am selling in order to buy this packer weighs 25 lbs. I'm selling the tuba because, at 79 years, it is getting a little too heavy to handle, but still want to play something lighter.
All I have been seeing is positive reviews over all John packer horns. I really hope to buy one for myself soon!
Instrument seems to be excellent. I intend to buy one for myself.
What is the name of the study performed from minute 1:36 to 2:00?
How much fun is playing the euphonium? I may be interested in trying it out.
Do it!
If/when you do, get a JP horn. I just got the JP274s and I absolutely love it!

do you know how much this weighs?
I've been after the same info, now been told it's 4.84 kg but have not confirmed. Hope that helps.
I recently played Gary Curtin's personal Sterling euphonium and it is quite heavy. He actually uses a hand strap next to the fourth valve.
Mine weighs 5.1kg (inc mouthpiece)
