  • Edit: This city was first identified as being Zürich, but viewers have stated that it is Lausanne in Switzerland.
    Lausanne, the capital of the Swiss canton of Vaud, is located in the French-speaking part of Switzerland, on Lake Geneva. It is the fourth largest city in Switzerland. The city is located at 495 m altitude, in a wine region, and is home to one of the most beautiful Gothic churches in Switzerland. Lausanne is located 62 kilometers northeast of Geneva.
    In December 2009 the city had 133,280 inhabitants (agglomeration: 324,387), who are called Lausannois.
    The original B&W film has been motion-stabilized, speed-corrected, interpolated, restored, enhanced and colorized by means of A.I. video software.

    The source of this video stated that this is Zürich, but viewers have now commented that it must be Lausanne.
    It has now been corrected in the title and the description. The source archive got it wrong.

Even the interaction with others was different, I found easier to be “present” during conversations. I was happy though, that I had internet by the time I reach Uni, it made life much easier and smooth. @@MeKHell Italians were subject to the same kind of criticism in the 1960s that some xenophobes make today about non-European immigration. The advantage of the Italians is that, because they were white, it took them only one generation to blend into the mass and be unnoticed. Racists and xenophobes complain today because the increase of racialized people in the streets in the last decades is visible. Lausanne is a multicultural city and this is what gives it its dynamism today. It's time to accept it. These nostalgic people of a completely white swiss Christian city make me ashamed.

    Lausanne is a very old city with human settlement dating at least to Roman times. Its proximity to Geneva has meant a certain shared history and economy. Until recently the city was very heavily Protestant of the Calvinist persuasion and banking was an important part of the economy.

      @Nastro Adhesivo That's such a bad example.
      I sometimes kick the ball because it's just quicker and because I think that the person probably wants to continue playing right away.
      It's also a funny moment because you "play" the ball with them for a second. This is the way I feel when I see a child running to catch their ball.
      I would probably bent to catch the ball if it's a mother, because I would assume that the mother would have to bent herself and wouldn't kick the ball. It really depends on how fast the ball was running, who was running after it, at which distance I would be from the person in question, etc.
      If the person is far away from me, it's far better to kick the ball so it directly goes back to the person. It's just stupid to take the ball in your hands, forcing the person to still walk in your direction and only then give them the ball back.
      If the person really kicked it a few centimeters, which made the mother walk AND bend, THEN walk AGAIN, yes, it's rude.
      But not picking it up isn't as "outrageous" as you think it is.

    Salut correction: asocial media. Pas social media. La vie jadis etait aimable on a eu les sentiments etre valable ensemble on a aperçu soi-même et on a eu l'aptitude réellement devenir en réussite. Nous avons oublié l'art contemporain à raison pays entier pour faire résistance....

    Life must have been hard in those days. But the city had an identity and a culture. It was lived by Swiss people. What about now? A sort of dirty little Paris. It has changed a lot in the last 20 years. I don't go there anymore. (PS I am not old)
