Yes and no, Bosnia got a different anthem in 1998 after its in independence in 1992. Its because if politics and stuff you know. Same with the flag of the 6 lellies. The anthem that isnt used since 1998 anymore is our real anthem in our hearts 😀

As far as I know, the only national anthem used in Yugoslavia was the Yugoslav national anthem Hey Slavs. The republics did not have their own. Even if they did, they were never really used.
Yugoslav Rebels werent only from today knew yugoslavia +- Lot of them camed from Albania,Bulgaria,Poland,Czechoslovakia,West Ukraine the athem was picked to represent all of the Nationalities
Not really, the only Republics having official State anthems were Croatia and Slovenia and yes since these were official were frequently used in their subsequent Republics but not so much outside those Republics. A very characteristic example is during Tito's funeral that the Croatian National anthem was played after the Yugoslav anthem and before the Internationale.
@@stgr0186 Okay, so Slovenia and Croatia had them, but the other four Republic didn't. I live in Serbia and I know we didn't. We always played Hej Sloveni and that was the only anthem I knew, until 1990 when I heard the old Serbian national anthem Boze pravde for the first time.
This is misleading. Yugoslavia was a country run by the communist party. There is no way God of Justice could have been the Serbian anthem. These anthens are from different periods of history.
Croatia and Slovenia were officially having republican anthems. Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro and North Macedonia didn't have official republican anthems, despite the fact that in Bosnia and North Macedonia unofficially they were using republican anthems in special occasions. Only the serbian anthem God of Justice was banned because of its connection with monarchy.

The anthems used by Yugoslav Republics officially:
Serbia, Montenegro, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia and Slovenia (until 1972): Hej sloveni.
Well makes sense since Tito didn't want anthems to be a force of reenforcing nationalism

When they became independent did they keep the old anthem when they were part of Yugoslavia? 🤔🤔🤔

Of those 6 republics, only Croatia had anthem during socialist Yugoslav era
I think not only Croatia but also Slovenia too, check out at the Wikipedia
Serbia also use the anthem: "God of justice" fron the socialist era to nowdays 😀
