Hi, Alicia! I have a hack for old oil stains in clothes. I scrub a Dawn and baking powder mixture into the stain. I like to let the mixture sit awhile on the stain before washing. Another tip... Whenever I spill oil on my clothes, I put baking powder or flour on the stain to absorb the oil and leave it there until I wash it. Hope it works for you!
I just washed my sweat shirt and the oil stains that were on it had not been washed out (had forgotten to spray it) So I used resolve, it’s like a shout it out or oxy spray (I live in Canada not sure what is available to you) I sprayed the areas of the oil stains and let it sit for a few minutes like half hour and washed it again and it came out. It’s my go to for all stains including the neck stains when wearing a collar shirt.
Alicia please please try dry shampoo for the oil stain I promise you this works. My fav pair of burgundy work pants got an oil stain on them tried everything baking soda, dawn and other things. One day I was doing my hair and thinking if this dry shampoo remove the oil from my hair it should do the same on a stain. Spray it on there and leave it for a few minutes don’t wipe the stain should dissolve. I know I was flabbergasted 😮
I spray plain Dawn on the spots the night before I wash. When wash is finished I hang to dry. Since it's deep you may have to repeat because the first wash may make it lighter.
When you realized that bookshelf was not the same size, before you said it I said “that is not the same size” then you literally said the same thing my boyfriend was like “uhm!” I was so tickled 😂😂😂😂
In the future, if you catch an oil stain early, put baby powder on the stain, let it sit for a minute, and it will absorb the oil. Th3n brush the powder off and the oil should disappear,. 😊
The glass shattered this summer on my back porch while sitting out there. Upon investigation, it appears that the glass was rubbing on the metal piece that holds it in place and my husband said that the edges of the glass cannot rub on any metal. Yours is probably an entirely different issue as there should be waterproof silicone…
Girl when you find out let me know. It seems like at least 5 of my sweatshirts have oil on them and I want to wear them out again 😊someone please help😅
It was easier to post the link 👆🏾 but all you need is baking soda, dawn, hot water and a soft toothbrush (I keep one in my laundry room). Hopefully it works for you, it’s definitely saved a lot of my family’s sweats and shirts 😊
I have the 100 days of dreaming bigger book, I got it from Walmart! I haven’t finished it but that is my goal for 2025. You’ve definitely inspired me to complete it ! 🫶🏽

*I meant baking soda.
I’ve done the baking soda trick before too and it worked 😊
Yes, i find the concentrated dishwashing liquid with oxy-clean works best
On a Friday night!! Yes! Try Dawn and vinegar (1 tablespoon) let it soak overnight. Then wash.
I loved the moment with you and hubby. We are gradually learning Alexander's language lol.

I was gonna suggest the same thing. The oil will definitely come out. The products can be found at any Walmart, Target, or Dollar General.
Alexander is too cute. So are his parents. I love it when Alexander joins the content. Oxiclean works for me all the time for removing stains.
