@@bettinico No one in this world would use an R8 as a family car,,,,,,,,100% of the R8 drivers will have either a Porsche or Mer AMG SUV sitting inside their 3 car garages.... These are not cheap, modified, screeching Turbo car sounds. This V10 engine has the most amazing, magnificent supercar sound you'll probably ever hear. From your comments shows that you could never afford one.............. Electronic cars have no souls........................ They are simply means of transportation............ "Tesla is the world's ugliest cars " I said.... I'll never ever spend a dim to buy Tesla,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

I agree! The R8 is my favorite supercar. It's performance is great. And it also looks great....the way an exotic supercar should. Basically, you're getting a lot for your money with the R8.

Do you know whether or not adding this new exhaust shaved some weight? I, mean, when Archie lifted the original, it appeared to be heavy compared to the tubi exhaust unit that replaced it.

No point of installing an aftermarket air filter in it. Stock one is best for the engine.
T-Bag Stock one will be good, but made on a budget and with limitations, just like the exhaust was.
Yes and No. With the strict regulations of today, it isn't always about engine limitation/preservation. Unless he wants to keep the car for 300k miles, ECU is fine. Allowing the car to breath more, is also fine.

LOVE the noise!! The only thing I would do now is tint the windows and maybe the rear lights.

Yes. Anything that is not either blue, black or carbon needs to be blacked out, unless a real carbon version is available. And the calipers need to be matched to the blue paint.

This is a straight piped / decatted exhaust? Any other ECU mods or just exhaust? Looking to different exhausts and this one looks pretty awesome value for money tbh.
Have to admit I was dis-appointed you did not get a Capristo system on your announcement video the other day, but at the end of the day it's your car. However, hearing this system I would say it is very similar and you are right, it does have a good tone to it. Glad you didn't get a Akra or something on this. Enjoy Archie!

it could be a draw. I prefer the r8. The gtr was good back in 09-10 wich used to cost 80-90k not 120k like today. 120k for a gtr or arround 160k for a ferrari 458? The gtr makes no sense.
KGK over here a brand new "normal" GTR would be around 200k, If you go for a Nismo; 280 a 300k 458 around something like that also! R8 V10 Plus lik 280k

Wow that's crazy good!!! Sounds better than Huracan now haha When it first came out new R8 didn't excite me that much, but I like it more and more, such a fantastic car that performs! That interior and dash is amazing and your color is one of the best! With that sound it is complete beast now! Don't modify it too much, don't make it ridiculous, don't ruin it, because it is perfect the way it is now. Some suggest wide body kit, please don't do that, that's disgusting! If I were you I'd go on a trip to Europe somewhere now while summer lasts, to Alps most likely and enjoy the car, screw more modifications, car is fantastic, pack and go!

Afaik it isnt just a silencer the stock one. Its also a catalyst. I think i spotted a sensor somewhere. Maybe not for that im not sure. That could atleast explain the massive weight.

Does the new exhaust affect the performance? Was there a ECU Update for the exhaust? If not - the ECU should be resented and newly teached to the new parameters.

Personally I think you should do the visual mods similar to the corvette, the front grill needs to be gloss black definitely, maybe tint rear lights and a black roof etc.. sounds awesome and is a stunning car already 👍🏻
